My experience with Casey was nothing short of abysmal and a case study on customer service and the inherent conflict of interest of having for profit mechanics conducting state inspections. I took my 2005 LS3 Corvette for a routine inspection and oil change, which Casey failed for 3 of 4 faulty shocks. My Vette has the magnetic rod control suspension system, where each shock ranges from $800-1000! The immediate over the phone price quote to get the car to pass inspection was over $4800. I made an appointment to see the "failed" parts for 1100 the next day. I got to Casey around 1045 the next day for my appointment and because the Corvette specialist was behind, I had to wait. I didnt get seen until shortly after noon where the mechanic showed me some of the seepage, nothing visually too major to the untrained eye. The car had plenty of bounce and only has 30,000 miles, so I was taken aback. The service agent takes me back to his sales pod and runs through some numbers getting a great "deal." I asked him for some alternative options, such as Z06 shocks, SLP shocks all of which I know can fit into my Vette. Not every Vette has the magnetic rod control system, but it was designed to be pretty much plug and play. The magnetic rod control, via your own research will show to be superior, but can be replaced. I was willing to buy alternative options and spend $1500-2000 but the sales rep would not budge and was adamant that I have to buy the MRC shocks. When I told him no and to ring me out, he wouldnt ring me out because at that very moment apparently the Corvette mechanic who did my inspection went to lunch and did not finish the write up. I had to wait another 75 minutes because I did not want to leave my car there any time longer. While waiting, I called my boss to let him know my status and get some advice. He is a fellow Corvette owner. He was appalled at the lack of service and recommended me to the mechanics at Hutchens Chevrolet. After finally getting my car and passing this $100 bill, I left and any back to work. The next day, I called Hutchens for an appointment. I told them my predicament and over the phone, they took the time to explain the benefits of my suspension system, and if I cant afford to replace them, theyll put a package together that will give the best performance possible. The Corvettes have multiple suspension kits for various shocks, so I was relieved that I could get my car on the road for less than $5000. On the day of my appointment, I took my car there and went off to work. I got a call back in two hours from Hutchens and the only issue was my windshield wipers, which they replaced free of charge. My shocks they said hes done seepage but had plenty of bounce, which is what is required to pass. I told them that I was prepared to replace all four if the seepage will deteriorate any more over the course of the year and need replaced next year. The mechanic told me verbatim "sir, I would be stealing your money if I replaced these shocks, at the rate you drive this vehicle, they have another 6-8 years of life on them, I dont know what Casey was looking at." So I picked up my car at lunch, new sticker and all with Hutchens as my go-to shop locally while Im here. Im thankful that Hutchens did not try to run me over the coals and they will be my first choice to but a new vehicle for the family and service my Vette.

If I could rate a 0 I would! Do NOT go to Casey Chevy! We were in dire need of a 2nd car because of overlapping schedules. Our sales people were amazing and still to this day Im pleased with them! The problem Ive had is with everyone since leaving the sales people. We bought a 2013 Dodge Caravan thinking that it wouldnt need the amount of repairs our 2005 Kia does. (The Kia has engine problems and the bucket seat belt buckle ripped out the morning we went to Casey.) Boy was I wrong. Im a first time car buyer and they got one over on me. The tires on the van are HORRIBLE. With winter coming up they need to be changed and guess who was only going to give us ONE tire?! Casey Chevy. Well not even having the van off the lot for 2 weeks the oil light comes on, they wont change it because their policy is every 7,000 miles. Cool. Two things off the bat and nothing. Oh yea, lets not forget they didnt call us and let us know what was going on with our tags. Apparently we were approved for our loan when we left, then find out TWO days before our temp tags run out (because my husband asked THEM) that the bank still hadnt signed off. We were leaving Friday to go back home and the same day is when our tags expired. I talked to the GM and he was a jerk. We finally got that issue sorted out. Today my husband goes up there because the locks stopped working in the van AND one of the sliding doors isnt opening. He gets told the service center cant fix it because its used and it hasnt been 90 days since we bought it yet. So he has to talk to Shawn Glass. That dude is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. With the tires it took 2 weeks to finally get a call back and Sunday I left him a message and its now Wednesday and I havent heard from him. This dude tells him that they cant do anything unless the managers let them so we may have to take it to the Dodge dealership. This is the second time my husband has gone up there and had to wait over an hour because everyone was in a meeting. We live in Norfolk, so we have to stay there. This morning a friend of mine called Casey Toyota (because she bought from them) to tell them what was going on and if they could help. Guess what I found out? Its been almost 10,000 miles since my oil was changed!! That by itself makes me livid. How can a dealership I didnt buy from know more about my car then the people I bought it from? Not to mention my friend just told her the year of the van and when it was bought and they lady on the phone could tell her my name?!? I will NEVER recommend people to this dealership and have actually told my friends that are looking for a new car to AVOID them!! I wish I took the time to look at reviews before I even went to the dealership...

Casey Chevrolet worst customer service ever, So our credits not the best so we were forced to use Auto credit of VA which puts a ringer on your car if your late on payments which is fine whatever but the device they connected on my car sucks, if your battery dies, its your pass time if your car wont start its your pass time if xyz happens its your pass time. Ugh really. The bumper to bumper warranty is a joke it only covers under your hood and not really anything and its for 3 years or until you hit 75,000 miles. Customer service stinks! when we had inquired online for information they literally called me 3 times a day and my email box was filled with various " sales members" contacting me religiously. We get there is a ghost town and once they find out I dont want a brand new car oops there goes that red carpet. the process its self was mind numbing painful Ive had better time at the dentist and then they at first didnt disclose payment arrangements or when they will start so we think were paying one price and then it turns from monthly to weekly. My car is already falling apart i feel like they pushed a Kumquat not a lemon on me I feel like they bamboozled us into a POC. Disgusted ! The used Sales team need a brush up on customer service my car broke down and refused to start, not only did they not help they told me it was my fault and kept shuffling me from person to person and then so and so was in the bathroom or the person i need was helping another customer. I finally get a call back and now everythings my fault i am getting hung up on, and even though we paid for road side assistance will probably never use it because the number s they have dont work. Mind you today was almost 100 degrees in a mini van that doesnt have rear ac and i had 4 kids in the car youngest just over 9 months. Do they volunteer to call a courtesy vehicle to pick me so we can get this handled in the main office.. NO I was just told that service is closed and they cant do anything for me. I will never buy another vehicle from Casey If you have bad credit go to Nissan they will work with you more they have just as many services that Casey does and they treat you like you deserve not by your credit score. And they have movie theaters in some location and salon Wednesdays for women. Casey Not worth it. I deserve it and You deserve better too!! RUNNNNNN.
