Just a typical used car dealer- promises they wont keep to make the sale, friendly treatment until the sale, impossible to contact after the sale. I bought a car there one weekend in early August and thought they were different. Everyone was helpful, friendly, didnt pressure me, etc. I got a decent deal and they washed/detailed the car, except for the top. Evidently step-stools arent part of the equation. All this was fine. The problem is with a missing piece of trim. Gavin, who Ill say was very friendly and helpful, told me that the manager was upset enough about the missing section of plastic trim in the drivers door well that he had ordered the part, which would arrive on Tuesday of the next week. Gavin promised to send the part, along with the 2nd key to my vehicle (which was stored "at the other location") on to my house as soon as it arrived. I asked him to add that to the purchase contract, and he declined, saying it was part of their faith and goodwill that they would send it. I knew at that moment Id never see that part or key (or theyd be willing to put it in writing), but played along just to see if they were different like they claimed to be. Well, 3 weeks later my plates arrived at the lot. They called to verify my address, at which point I said I hadnt received my part or key, and they said theyd pass the message to Gavin. The next week I got my plates, but no part or key. I emailed through their website, inquiring as to when I would receive the goods Id been promised. Wouldnt you know, I got no reply. I called a week later and asked to speak to Gavin, but he was "with another customer, but well let him know you called." After another week passed, I called and had to leave another message as Gavin was unavailable. I repeated this process again, got the same promise to leave him a message, and got no response. Here it is on the last day of September, nearly 2 months after I bought the car, and nobody has contacted me about the part and the key. Im doubtful as to whether the part and key ever existed. If they did, dont you think the dealership would be eager to get them out of the way and in the mail? If they valued their customers, wouldnt they return calls and emails? One should not have to spend weeks trying to chase down a $20 part and a $100 key. Aint nobody got time for that! For me, the answer is simple. Ill just conclude that Autos Direct Downtown is like any other lot. A true measure of customer service is not what happens before a sale, but what happens afterward, and these guys failed. Had they been different, Id have done business with them again. I see no reason to do business with someone willing to lose a customer over $120 worth of parts.

WARNING!!! Avoid this sketchy dealership! Low prices for a reason. 1. They are not transparent (e.g. they hid the check engine light from the car I bought when I tested it). 2. They wont return any phone calls and they avoid customers after sale. 3. They dont comply with state regulations and have taken more than 45 days to deliver my title. 4. If you find a similar deal somewhere else dont hesitate to disregard this dealer. 5. When closing the sale they push you into writing a recommendation and taking a your photo posing as a happy customer for a reason. 6. They make you sign an agreement to resolve all conflicts with a mediator and not through the judicial system for a reason. 7. The superficial friendliness is pre-sale only. 8. Any five star you see here are probably from people who luckily happened to buy a functional vehicle and havent had to contact the dealer post-sale.

In one word SHADY. I bought a new car here and before the warranty ran out the paint started peeling off the hood. I was told to go next door and see their body shop on location. Service rep got out and started talking to the body guy. The body guy realized while talking to the service rep that I was in the car and could hear everything. He stopped mid sentence and told the service rep "lets go talk inside". While they moved inside and I was still in the car I could see the guy from the body shop talking through the glass window. He looked and saw that I was watching what he was saying then stopped talking again and moved with the service rep out of sight. Then the rep returned 5 minuets later and said it was a mysterious chemical of some kind. What a joke, they really think people are idiots.

I had a great experience with Auto Direct Downtown. I conducted a Google search and read the reviews. It the the reviews that lead me to the my sales person Yahya. I live in NC and drove up 4.5 hours just to purchase my vehicle from this dealership. Other places I researched had horrible reviews. The staff was easy to speak with and the paperwork process was 1, 2, 3! Thank you Yahya!

I was sold a truck, 2 days later my engine blew up. There is no way they couldnt have known that would of happened. Unless they have a sleep walking mechanic. On top of that i called the dealership 4 days in a row trying to reach the manager. I got no support, all they said was "im sorry, the truck is already yours". Just terrible..
