Purchased cook top, down draft, oven, micro wave and dishwasher 13 months ago. The dishwasher drain pump would not stop running the other night and the digital read out said E18. When I called for service I learned being out of warranty a $175.00 fee for man to visit for diagnostics would be due in advance and he could be there in a week. First the E18 is a diagnosis and one would think they have a man in our area at least once a week. I can only guess many are collecting the $175 many times for visits to areas raking in thousands for a drive across town. Thanks to the internet the repair for the problem was available and within 20 minutes unhooked the unit both physically and electrically and performed the repair recommended on the internet. By the way E18 means a stuck float in the pump system. The repair was just leaning the unit backwards to get the float unstuck and the reinstalling. Our sales person was great however service leaves much to be desired!
