As for malls go West Valley has one major thing going for it and thats the megaplex theater. The mall itself has a mixed arrangement of lower end stores so you feel a bit out if place if you shop at places like Citycreak mall or Fashion Place mall. They recently lost Macys department store but you still have Bed Bath& Beyond as well as a Cup Bob both located outside. The mall staff are really nice and the kids will be entertained by a train that wizzez by. Few to none on security guards and I never see any security outside in the parking lot. I rate this as a secondary stop until some of the malls issues are addressed. Before I forget, this mall does have weekly events quite often and they are worth a look.

From the parking to the security this place is in a bad area. I went here once to the movies and had my car broken into by some white guy full of tattoos and wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans with a backpack he jumped into a white F150 pickup with another ginger looking guy and a hispanic guy. Called police only to be told that they couldnt do anything. The same night i got robbed there were not security guards in sight. I was literally frustrated. While i steer clear from any part of west valley i dont recommend this place at all. If you want a nicer safer place to shop go to fashion place or southtowne its worth the drive and piece of mind.

This mall is definitely on an up turn from where it was only a year or so ago. Most of the vendors are now real stores and not junk stores full of "for decoration only swords" or dinosaur heads, stuff that if you needed it you know where to find it online. However there are still way to many kiosk vendors clustering the pedestrian areas inside the mall. They could easily stick all of those vendors into on area or even in one of the unused spaces that have been empty for almost a year now. Bring back the amusements or potted plants and planter boxes. Get those trashy looking carts out of sight or confined to a space that looks purpose felt.

I love the selection of restaurants at this mall and there are a few really good things about it I like, but there is also a ton of vacancy. I have heard that a majority of the stores that were here have gone out of business and I know that to be true of Macys which used to be here. I know they are now opening a Macys up at Fashion Place Mall though so thats a good thing and not far away. As far as stores I personally shop at, I wouldnt come here for much except JCPenneys and Bed Bath and Beyond. I shop at H&M, Forever 21, and some others that they dont have here, hence why its not my favorite. The food options arent bad though.

The malls decor is nice but theres too many cheap "fancy" dress shops, and too many cheap chinese food places in the food court. The health care depot should be avoided. Not only did they lie to me about my daughter being already set up for health insurance, but they questioned my religious beliefs which is unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright rude. I found out the hard way that my baby, shes 1, wasnt covered when I had to go to the emergency room for her. Id have left a review on theirs but I didnt have that option. Save yourself the headache and pick another mall.

I will not visit this deserted mall again. Besides JCPenney & Ross, there are very few reputable stores inside the actual mall. Many of the stores appear to sale "knock off" merchandise and seem very sketchy. There are several stores selling quinceanera formal wear/gear, "Spanish cowboy" attire, swap meet style clothes, shoes, etc. I was cat called, approached by two men & while standing in check out for Ross two men made lewd gestures and comments. I did not feel safe in the mall or outside walking to detached stores/restaurants.

Dope place to chill at. Really like the stores, and for the most part, good service. Foot Locker sucked. The employer was arrogant and seemed very sure about what he was saying to me as though I was ignorant to the access of the internet. Anyway, the variety is what is expected. More for women, and even then, felt restricted to a select few of stores, and even fewer products. Food court is not that great either. No selection on types of food. Just 3 types spread out.

Arcade? Cheap Movie? Overpriced movie with comfortable seats? Train ride for the kids? Yep. You too can strut through Valley Fair Mall like its 1998 again. With JCPenny as an anchor, Hammond Toys hidden in the corner and Hot Dog on a Stick (yep, thats still a thing) you can live up those teen years of yore. The gang activity has subsided in recent years. Now teeming with suburban life along 3500 South, near Trax and all the retail store youll ever need.

I come here once in a blue moon because it is in a terrible location. I feel very sketchy coming here and though Ive personally never bought anything here. It freaks me out going inside some of their stores that are very dim and have strange people lurking around it. I dont feel comfortable coming here for any reason. I prefer Southtowne mall and Fashion Place mall You can remodel this place a 100 times but the location brings it down.

It has gotten a lot better than it used to be. I took my daughter here to see Santa and they had reindeer and a huge Christmas tree that my daughter loved!i love all the stores outside of this mall too. Rue 21,the Sweet Tooth Fairy (even tho its no longer there), the megaplex is my favorite place to watch movies, and bath and body works. I definitely like going to this mall now that the cleaned it up and put a better selection of stores.

I have been to this mall many many times since my childhood. I can tell you from experience, this mall has improved considerably since the 90s. The only thing in which there has been no improvement is their Dollar theater. But you get what you pay for there I suppose. With the inclusion of a Megaplex theater, I am a little surprised they still have a dollar theater. Despite this you really do get an upscale shopping experience

This really used to be the mall Id go to; however, there is just so much negativity with this mall in the news, that Im not sure it can recover, regardless of what you put it in. It no longer feels safe. Its fate seems more doomed than Gateway Mall does. Stores outside of the mall are great, but inside the mall feels empty and cheap. Until some good stores come in, Im not sure i have a reason to go back.

Ive been going to this mall for some time. My grandparents used to live down the street. While they have prettied up the outside. The inside leaves much to be desired. This mall has been around a long time. Which doesnt mean its the best. The stores inside are outdated and filled with stuff you wouldnt look twice at in most cases. If you are looking for a good shopping selection look elsewhere.
