Beware of Deceptive Practices at this store. My father-in-law was due for an upgrade. He went in with my wife to get an iphone. These are budget conscious people. They were told by some employee named "Favio" from brazil that the cheapest iphone, the iphone 4s, was $100 bucks. (He conveniently never mentioned the new iphone 5C is $99) He explained that normally this iphone 4s costs $449, which is true, but if they sign a two year contract they can get it for $100 bucks. Sounds like a good deal. What actually happened was they were scammed into buying the older model iphone 4s with a bunch of accessories for roughly the same price as the new iphone 5C. Nice right! Nice for the store and Favio. This Favio acted like a sleazy used car salesman who took advantage of two unsuspecting people. When they told me about the deal, it didnt sound right. The iphone 4s is an older model and shouldnt cost $100 bucks. I looked it up and it costs $0.99 with a new two year contract. The phone is $1 dollar. (You will have to pay $30 for an upgrade to a smart phone). All the other accessories are optional. Period. "Favio" never gave these people the option. Favio has it figured out that if he tells people the cheapest iphone is $100 bucks, he can then ring up extra $$ in accessories to make it to $100 dollars. (The actual bill was $113 and change) My wife and father-in-law returned to the store to speak with the manager "mike costa?" about this deal they were given and to return the accessories. He said he would talk to Favio about it, but that it could have been a "misunderstanding." Sure. I do know my wife and father-in-law very well. They would absolutely NOT buy all these accessories, (including a car charger) at the store, if given the option. Maybe they would have bought a case, but thats it. Favio arranged the sale by being deceptive. That is the bottom line. I am willing to bet Favio has duped other people who wouldnt know the difference. My wife isnt a dumb person at all, she is smart but just isnt that familiar with technology. I guess I made the mistake of assuming that the people at this verizon store would be honest and help the customer. My father-in-law was refunded around $80 bucks after he returned all the unnecessary accessories. I will find him a case that will protect his phone for around $10 - $15 more dollars.

I received a brand new iPhone 7 Plus on Christmas Eve. I was actually really pleased with the service I received in getting set up and my new phone ordered. The phone arrived a day later than I was told but I understand given the holiday season. When I opened my phone I realized a smudge that would not wipe off, about the size of a nickel in upper righthand corner. I tried everything and the smudge does not come off. It appears to be under the surface. When I returned to Utah I took my phone in for my 1 free exchange as cited by Verizons website, "You are permitted to make one exchange. To make an exchange, return the merchandise (including device, charger, battery, instructions, and any other components) in the ORIGINAL box. All merchandise must be in like–new condition and accompanied by the original receipt." The manager was unwilling to exchange my phone even though Im within 14 days because he found the smallest nick on the edge of the phone. He looked for anything he could find to keep from exchanging my phone. Verizon clearly does not put their customer first and this manager was the least bit professional. I will not return to this store again.

I will always go to an official Verizon store from now on. I purchased a Note 4 in Nov 2014 which is a great phone. Around October, I noticed that the camera was having a difficult time focusing but I didnt take it in right away. I finally went to Diamond Wireless, an "authorized dealer" where I purchased the phone and was told that since I had missed the warranty by 3 days, I would need to either pay the $100 deductible or pay to upgrade if I wanted a new phone. I opted to wait until my balance was paid down more on the phone to upgrade instead of paying the deductible. This week I decided to just pay the deductible since it was really frustrating not being able to use the camera. I want to hold out for the new 2016 line of Samsung phones where, if rumors are true, the SD card is coming back. When I walked in the the AF store, I was greeted right away and told that since it was a defect, that the protection that I am paying on the phone extends the warranty so I wouldnt need to pay a deductible, saving me $100! Brittany was great and I got a replacement phone shipped overnight by FedEx. Will definitely be going back when I upgrade.

After having terrible experiences from 2 other Verizon stores in Orem (University Mall and Costco) I went to the American Fork store, it took about 30 minutes to get talkng with a rep just because I was 10th in line but they were working through the line very fast. I got speaking with Zach there and had an amazing experience. He worked with me for over an hour just answering questions about the different plans they offer as well as all the phones. I went home and was discussing it over with the main plan holder. We had more questions but Zach gave me his card and I was able to call him 2-3 more times and he was very polite and had solutions to all my concerns. We went back that same night to sign up for our new plan and unfortunately made him stay an extra hour past close to help us set up our new phones but he never even hinted about rushing us out the door. This is our new store and he is our new Verizon rep, I would recommend this store to anyone. 5 Stars!

Avoid this Verizon store if possible. My family has been purchasing here for years and we finally have had enough. They will tell you the wait is 20 minutes when its really 40. Their techs are not proficient at their jobs and take twice as long as they should for simple tasks like upgrading phones. They do NOT know how to install screen protectors and if you have them install one for you, they will most certainly screw it up, leaving you with a bubbled screen - this has happened with our last 3 phones. Whats worse is that before they even start setting up a new phone for you, they will try to up-sell you on their over-priced accessories (cases & screen-protectors), which they dont know how to install anyway. Do yourself a favor and save your sanity; avoid this place and drive to another Verizon store.

When I purchased a new phone, two sales reps pushed me to buy a tempered glass screen protector, which I purchased on their recommendation. Six days later it cracked in the center without being dropped, bent, or left in a pocket. This sales rep and manager I spoke both with refused to honor the 30 day warranty for defects in workmanship, and did not believe me when I told them that there had not been any force applied to the screen or phone. When I looked at the Verizon website, the protector is rated as 1 star, so their sales force is knowing pushing a poor product. I had relied on recommendation and consider it poor service to be providing such misleading information and then to refuse to honor the manufacturers warranty.
