Wow! What a mess! My husband and I went in last night looking for a swing and as soon as we walked in we new we were in for a challenge. It looked like a bomb went off in this store. We went to the aisle the baby swings were in and we couldnt even tell what our choices were. Nothing was in the right spot, it was like a guessing game on what price each item was. And no one offered any assistance, I dont think anyone was even working the floor. Almost every aisle we went down had carts filled with go backs and it was very hard to get around, like a obstacle course. The shelves were filled with items that didnt even belong in the aisle. I asked the Guy at the front door what happened to the store, thinking well maybe there is some logical explanation for this. He said "it got destroyed, weve been very busy the last few days." Yeah, its 10 days till Christmas I can understand being busy, but how do you expect customers to buy in your store? I worked for Toys R Us 6 years ago and I remember the holidays very well. The store I worked at NEVER looked.this way, not even after the black Friday sales, so I dont really see this case being any different. The impression I get is that they just dont care. The new "slogan" you keep hearing on TV for Toys R Us is "why shop anywhere else, why?" Well this is why! Your sales would be so much better and your customers would be happier if you would clean up your store. It would make your job and our experience so much better. Needless to say we didnt buy anything, just pretty much walked around in amazement at the condition of the store. We tried to find other items on our list so we didnt have a complete waste of our time but that too was a difficult task. My husband also kept making comments about all the trash outside, in the parking lot. It looked like it was there for quite sometime. Corporate needs to step in and take care of this if they want to stay afloat.

Ok, let me preface this by saying I know it is the Christmas season and retail is tough during the holidays.. I worked retail for 6 years, no matter the time of year, I expect a certain kind of customer service. I was in this store this evening and I was looking for a Mickey mouse pillow pet, they only had the Minnie Mouse ones. The employee I asked that was working the floor told me when I went to the check they could look it up for me to find out if there are any in stock or online. When I got to the register, the cashier was very pleasant and courteous and explained that the other employee should have come up to the service desk and looked it up for me. So I continued my other purchases and then went to stand in the line at the service desk. My cashier came over there and tried to get me helped faster and asked what looked to be a manager about a Mickey mouse pillow pet. The woman rudely said to the cashier that she has never seen a Mickey one, then glared at me and said the same thing again like I was some kind of idiot ... OK NEWS FLASH to that manager (if thats what she was) there is a Mickey pillow pet.. on Amazon but I was trying to give you my business. I have never been spoken to so matter of factly and rudely about something she clearly had no knowledge of that does in fact exist. I give this store 2 starts only because my cashier did go above and beyond and I feel sorry for her having to work for such a disgruntled manager.

Where to start? This store clearly has problems. I went in this location with a friend today to pick up a “Site to Store" order. What a joke. First off the store is disgusting. Inside the front entrance is covered with trash and cigarette butts. Inside is not much better, smelling less than pleasant and resembling a thrift shop with stuff strewn everywhere. The customer service desk is a disaster. Im not sure these people a) care at all about the customer and b) know what on earth they are doing. After standing in line for the best part of 20 minutes, the girl said it would be “about 5 minutes” for the order to be delivered to the front. Okay. 10 minutes later she returns, empty handed and proceeds to help the next customer. No acknowledgement, status update, NOTHING. Come to think of it, I don’t recall a “how can I help you?” or any other nicety that could have help ease the pain of total incompetence. Some of the people working here seemed more interested in going for a smoke break, than attending to the VERY long lines. Most stores, "Store Pickup" means your order has been gathered and awaits your arrival to pickup. In this store, they "stage" your items while you wait, which defeats the purpose. We honestly could have walked around and grabbed everything on the list and checked out faster than these people could do it. My friend finally said "FORGET IT" and got her money back. NEVER AGAIN.

I attempted to exchange a Wii game (purchased at this location) that my son received as a gift for his birthday. The game was still in the shrink wrap and had a Toys R Us sticker on it. The 3 un-empowered teens that were behind the so-called "customer service" counter said I could not exchange the item without a receipt. Rather than argue with the minimum wage robots, knowing the futility of such actions, I immediately said, "Get the manager". However, somewhat not surprisingly, the manager told the same story regarding the store return policy. I re-stated my case, warned that I would never shop there again if they elected not to honor my request, but it was to no avail. In a down economy like ours at the present time, businesses who handle simple requests by their customers in a manner similar to this one will not be long for this world. If I were a betting man (which I am), and the over/under on this overpriced chain (with archaic customer service/return policies) staying in business for 2 more years, I would take the under.

C R A P P I E S T and most unorganized store i have had the displeasure of going to for deals on items I was looking for. My wife and I waited 20 minutes in the video game aisle for an employee to get games we were looking for in the locked shelfs. No one ABSOLUTELY NO ONE showed up. The manager and supervisors are so unplanned with their employesz its a shame headquarters hasnt fired any of them. We called customer service and was put on hold indifinitely. We were on hold for 40 minutes before we gave up. If I was the manager. I would have scheduled more employees to work on a semi unbusy day. Shame a dirty dirty shame they lost hundreds from a paying customer.

If you have to hit Toys R Us during the holidays...go to another location! The store is littered with abandoned shopping carts, toys fallen from shelves, and not to mention LITTER as in trash inside and out. The store in VERY understaffed for the amount of patrons shopping/trying to checkout/needing help, the employees are rude and the management isnt much better. I only needed to walk in, grab my "pick up in store" order and walk out. Instead I waited and waited in line only to find out my order had not been pulled and put together as promised, I was so fired up, I ended up just telling them to refund my money.
