I was one of the first customers to purchase something in this store when it first opened back in the 80s. Unfortunately, I will never return to this store again. I have placed layaways here for for more than 20 years, and I have never failed to pay one off before the deadline. This last Christmas I hit a financial crisis due to my daughter having complications from her liver transplant and my son needing money for college. All I asked for was a 6 day extension. The manager refused to speak to me and made her employee tell me she wasnt extending it. I could hear her screaming in the background. I went down to try to speak to her, and she refused to see me, so I refunded the layaway and then paid a $10 penalty for all of my troubles. I contacted corporate and found out from them the manager could have extended the deadline, so she refused because she didnt want to be troubled with it. I was contacted by the corporate manage in the New Mexico region, and he contacted the manager over the Hurst TX region. Long story short, the manager of the store left a message while I was at work asking me to call her, but when I tried to contact her twice, each time it rang more than 20 times and no one answered. There wasnt even a voice mail. I tried to call the other number, but the manager was never available to talk to me, and never returned my call. This is why I will NEVER shop at this store again. Now I can understand why Toys R Us lost its store in Times Square. This store has lost a 32 year loyal customer.

The management team and customer service in this store is excellent. My granddaughter was turning four and we wanted to buy her a swing set for her birthday. We picked one online and found the best price was at Walmart. Unfortunately, most stores no longer stock these big items and require you to order them online. We ask the folks at Walmart for some help to understand/improve their long delivery time as we needed the slide within a week. We even offered to drive and pick it up. The people at Walmart could not have been more disinterested and less helpful. We found the same wing online at Toys R Us for about $75 more. We drove there to see if they had it in the store. Again, unfortunately not. We spoke to the management team Hazel Macies / Heather Melton. They were amazing and truly wanted to help. They searched the computer and found the swing in stock at the local distribution center and committed to getting it in store in 4 days. They even matched the Walmart advertised price. The store manager then communicated with the DC to ensure this swing was on their next delivery. It arrived as promised and our granddaughter is beyond happy. Please, please support this store and its team. They still understand customer service and the human touch.

I went into this store as I have many times on a mission to find a very specific toy for my daughter a Klip Klop playset. Although this time was very different, not only was a greeted instead of having to seek out someone for help he was also the most helpful associate I have ever ran into at this store. His name was Jim and he was wearing a purple shirt(not sure if different colors mean anything). Needless to say the toy I was looking for was discontinued and he showed me some similar toys and I explained how specific my daughter was and that it was for her birthday. He mentioned somewhere i could try and find it AND HE WAS RIGHT! I am going to have the happiest little girl on Sunday. I was losing faith in this store but Jim changed that. Ill come back to this store just based on his customer service alone.

Lots of clearance products clearly marked. Employees were friendly. I saw a Thomas the Train that had a clearance sign that said (name) talking train was 11.98 now 0.98 on it, and that exact train was on that peg with two of them on it. Grabbed them, but they rang up full price. They were like oh, this is a different kind. There are several kinds of this exact train. Somewhat disappointing as the products were misplaced, the label was the same product description. Still, an overall good experience. My kids enjoy playing in all the little 6/12V car displays. Excellent place to take the kids and test out bike sizes etc before you buy!

Staff is nearly nonexistent (though we do occasionally get a greeting at the entrance and game department) and the store is usually kept clean/organized for a toy store. Probably our biggest problems with Toys"R"Us (in general) are the prices and the lines at the registers. A majority of the products are priced decently, but some are just too much for us to consider a purchase. And as far as the lines, weve been in short lines (2-3 people) that have taken so long that weve left without making a purchase. Thankfully theyll usually assist you with purchases in the game department.

If you care about customer service then DO NOT go to this place. All the workers were RUDE and inconsiderate. You cant get any help. The items are OVERPRICED. you can find better deals else where. Then when I found a better deal, they wouldnt even mark down or return the merchandise that i bought. This bad reputation isnt a surprise since it is situated in a ghetto neighborhood. STAY AWAY

They never answer the phone I have called them 50+ times they literally do not answer their phone if you can get them to answer their phone praise the Lord Jesus to you because I sure cant my need is important and no one answers the phone I have been trying to call them for like two hours and no one has answered #TheStruggleIsReal

Phone message system is on a loop. You press 1 for store info or 2 to talk to a customer service rep. Hitting 2 puts you on hold for a few seconds before sending you back to the main menu. There is no way to talk to an employee of this store without driving to it.

Very rude employees esp. the manager there named brenda. I was looking for a specific toy for my grandson but they did not find what i was looking for or help me find similar to it. So disappointed with this store!!! Dont recommend this at all.

This place used to be a good place to go for cheap used goods. I just visited and walked right out at the sight of their increased prices. $12 for used kids shoes and not even name brand, who are they fooling?

Horrible customer service in store and on the phone waited 30 minutes on the phone to get somebody to help me waited 25 minutes in the store to get somebody to help me do not recommend this place at all

This place was super busy and the staff was even slower. I dont think Ive been to a toyrus where any of the staff were fast and super helpful even when its not a Christmas time rush.
