I was very impressed. Two weeks after I’d hung out my other three hummingbird feeders I bought and hung out my Best-1 feeder. When I did the hummingbirds swarmed around it almost ignoring my other feeders. I had to refill the Best-1 twice as often as any of the others. Interesting things to note; 1) It’s common for me to see four birds feeding together at the Best-1 feeder without a territorial battle arising. 2) The double ring at the base accommodates both young and mature birds permitting them all to perch while drinking. 3) The two piece base permits easy disassembly, cleaning and reassembly. There’s no excuse if you have mold growing in your Best-1 feeder, you can’t blame mold on anybody but yourself. Now the downside…aesthetics. My wife says “It isn’t pretty.” I said it isn’t about the bottle; it’s about the birds. Unfortunately she’s not relenting. Last, it’s all for naught. I went to refill the Best-1 for the umpteenth time tonight and when I disassembled it I found that the threads on top of the glass bottle had cracked! There must have been a flaw in the glass when the bottle was made? Anyway I located an old plastic maple syrup bottle with the same diameter opening and thread pattern so now I’m using it. I don’t think the Mrs. will like the maple syrup bottle any better than the Best-1 IV bottle but hey, I bet the birds wont mind.

I ordered a hummingbird feeder by telephone in May, 2009 and sent my check in the amount of $42, which was cashed in June.. Ive written three times now, to both the address given and the PO box number. No response! And they do not answer their telephone, either; there is a ring but no message and no opportunity to leave one. Guess they are busy spending the money. I simply cannot understand why these people are treating an old customer, who has ordered for herself and her neighbors in the past, like dirt! I like the feeders. Yes, they fade, but the birds do not seem to mind at all and know exactly what to do. I am so disappointed in these people, though!

This feeder claims to be wasp proof! Its actually so poorly designed that it is actually an efficient stinging insect feeder. At this time of year (October), when you want to support migrating hummingbirds, this feeder has enough yellow jackets covering it to scare any hummers away forever. I filled mine with a cup of nectar yesterday and the hornets have drained it completely. This outfit should be sued for false advertising. Get any other feeder but this one. Its way over-priced anyway.

We purchased new Best - 1 Humming Bird Feeders after using our last Best-1 Feeders for 10 years. Easy to use, clean and install. Attracks many birds and it is amazing to watch the aerial combat between humming birds. We sit on the porch and enjoy the show. Best-1 is the best value. Thanks Guys!

Bee attraction was greatly reduced with this all-red feeder. Easy to fill and clean. I painted blue petals around the sipping holes with nail polish. Maybe the hummers didnt care, but I felt better. The feeder was one of the few sources of local nectar during our recent flooding disaster in NW Ohio!
