After being turned away at the PetSmart on Loop 410, we went into the PetSmart on 1604 to pick up some cat supplies and get shots for our kitten. We were told that everyone in the vet clinic goes to lunch at the same time so we would have to wait until they left and got back (more than an hour). They advertise their hours from 9-6, but dont advertise that they shut down so everyone can have lunch together. This seems like very poor business model. The person at the check-in desk, Anna, was incredibly rude as well. She interrupted me to take a phone call; didnt even say "excuse me" or "one moment" just picked up the phone and started talking in the middle of my sentence. I spoke to the store manager, Amy, on my way out, but wasnt even offered an apology. She told me "oh, thats just the way they are." PetSmart has a great selection and we have used their dog training classes several times in the past, but we have never been treated as indifferently as we were at this store. The vets may be great, but how would one ever know if theyre never around? There are plenty of other pet supply stores in San Antonio who would be glad to have the business I give to PetSmart. We will never shop here for anything again. Id rather drive a little farther and patronize a place that still practices good customer service. My advice is spend your money someplace else.

I have a poodle mix and have taken him to this store 5-6 times. Only ONCE have they succeeded in performing the proper grooming we asked. The forgot to shave his sanitary areas 3 of the 6 times. Refused him once because they said his ears were "matted," which was untrue... as he was there three weeks prior and I was able to comb them out myself within 10 minutes at home. The most recent time, I dropped him off at 0830 for his 0900 appointment. Noon rolls around and I havent been called to get him so I go into the store. His stylist tells me "I thought his appt was at 1 and I havent started." While I stand there, the stylist and shift leader proceeded to have a "discussion" about how the shift leader told the stylist the appointment was at 9 and she didnt do her job. SO I have to wait another 2 hours until he is finished and drive all the way back to the store only to find they did not even shave his sanitary area AGAIN. The manager informed me "his stylist is new and she did not know how to do it so she didnt." Well MAYBE someone should show her or she should ask for help. Never again. Go to a different store. Great for small dogs or a basic bath for a short haired dog but useless for anything more.

First off Ive always had good service here.with exception of salon. I use to go to the de zavala location n got my puppies nails filed there when he turned 4 mo and was up to date with puppy requirements. The guy that did his nails at de zavala location was good. Today 10/20/16 my puppy need nail work so I tried to go in since its been 3 weeks since his first time getting nails grind. All the young girls at this grooming salon were just chatting and they refused my pup because "he didnt have rabies shot" hes just going to be 5 months are you kidding. If these girls were trained a bit more and had better knowledge they would know he is fine as long as hes up to date with puppy shots which are in system bc I once before did it at the de zavala location. She said my record wasnt in system.. I will never attempt to get my boxers nails done here if I have to Ill go to petco on bandera or petsmart on de zavala or the rim.

Its very upsetting to know that weve invested a lot time and money into this PetSmart location and management doesnt seem to care for a follow-up with a concerned customer. After one incident with our pet, we wanted to investigate the cause of our dog being banned from "ALL PETSMARTS" nationwide (which is what we were told). After numerous attempts to follow-up with Pete Garcia, he failed to communicate effectively and instead chose to ramble (lie) when confronted about the matter. I will state that up until this incident, this PetSmart location had the best service and care. When it comes to the good, they were great...but when the bad is presented...they were TERRIBLE. As an investor, owner of a family pet, and local business owner - I am disgusted with the follow-up and facts presented to understand why such extreme measures were taken after 3 faithful years of being a loyal customer.

I really dont understand why it so so hard to get good customer service. Waited for someone to come, so I could buy one of their pets, and they stated they will get someone. Waited another 5 minutes no one came, see some of their workers cutting dogs hair or sitting back. Just to threaten to leave. Said they will call manager. waited another 5 to 7 minutes and still nobody. Find an employee in the fish department. When I stated I will walk out if no one helps out he finally did. But Im telling you the look was of someone who hates their jobs, or just wishes the day was over. Finally when he started doing it. The manager came out. I was already very irritated about the whole customer service situation. She finally gave off a better vibe, but as a manager she might what to re asses the people who are working under her and how the store is run.

The customer service was horrible. I dont know if it they where discriminating over that Im gay or by race. But im hispanic , my gf and I and our friend went to go look for xmas presents for my friends two dogs. She wants to know what I think to get while Im at work Monday so y not look sunday. Well we where walking around looking at prices and different things dogs may want. And the staff kept walking around with us and asking if we needes help. We all said just looking and kept walking. Still the staff kept walking with us asking if we needed help. We had maybe 3-6 staff members walking around with us seeing what we needed. We thought this was very discriminating and made us uncomfortable .. Im never gunna go back to this store again....

The lady atvthe desk of the clinic was so unkind with me. She can get the shot records of my dog but she didnt give it go me and i need it to schedule an appointment for grooming service, wich i have go cancel it becaus she refused to bring me the information. Dont know her name but a week ago she todme she can give me the records and i have to bring the pet and also she was kind with my pet at that time and then a week after she was so unkind. I have to go to the other shop to get thisnpaper work.. i dont schedule grooming appointment because this incident and i never will.. becaus this girl. Dont know her name but she is always there at the front desk clinic.

I just picked up my dog from the petsmart off Culebra Rd and 1604. Totally unhappy with their work. Told them twice when I dropped him off "do not cut his feathers!" TWICE!! So get him back and guess what,, they trimmed his feathers off. Then they tell me he has some irritation in his hygene area. When I get him home and check, and he has some very severe razor burns around his belly and genital areas. Totally unacceptable and yet still charged me full price. Useless workers, untrained trimmers and unprofessional. Never going back!
