They prey on poor people by offering low quality/off brand items slightly below price of brand name items. Ex: off brand macaroni might be $0.80 and good brand $1.00 but the off brand stuff is so bad you write this Google review. I will admit though, they occasionally have great deals on chicken and other meats. And their customer service is 4/5, very friendly but often overworked.

I really like the Boudin at this location. The deli part of the supermarket is decent spot for a location in the Fifth Ward area. However, the Boudin was flavorful and it had a lot of seasoning and it was delicious. I would come back just for the boudin.

If you want good Cajun sausage in the Houston area, this is the place to go. This is an ole school supermarket where there is a meat counter in the back and hot food sold in front. They actually have things that you just dont see in any store.

The cajun sausage are the best and their deli food such as those big pork chops, greens, yams, sausage, boudin balls, etc is soo DELICIOUS!! Their Deli hrs are 8 am - 5pm mon-sat closed Sundays and holidays.
