Red Dessert Dive has become my go-to location for coffee, dessert or a savory snack. Nestled in the heart of the Heights, Red has a very welcoming and neighborly feel. The staff has been very attentive and is quick to answer questions or offer suggestions. And I love the decor, very unique. They offer several staple desserts - chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal cookie, the debusker (dark chocolate brownie & chocolate chip cookie), salted caramel brownie, as well as a rotating selection of cheesecake, 3 layer cake and cupcakes. Its fun to see what goodies are displayed each day. What I love is that Red adds a twist to their desserts that make them extra delish by using fresh and unique ingredients, like Valhrona chocolate, Cardamom, etc. They have a small selection of vegan and gluten free treats too. My personal favorites are the Salted Valhrona Chocolate Chunk Cookie and the Salted Caramel Brownie - they are seriously to die for. They melt in your mouth. And the egg salad sandwich on a freshly baked croissant. Come for the coffee and desserts, and stay for the wine and beer. Yes, I was pleasantly surprised they have beer and wine, which is even better on their happy hour! Red Dessert Dive was a great addition to the Heights. Its unique, delicious and satisfies my morning coffee fix.

This is a wonderful location for this type of venue. Parking can be iffy but it is manageable. I really liked the interior of the store. It felt warm and neighborly. The staff is really nice. And it offers coffee and wine as well as the desserts options. It is great that they have a large glass window opening up into the kitchen. The offerings fall into several broad categories. There are the cookies, the cheesecakes, the breakfast type scones and layer cakes. They are acceptable renditions of the typical stuff one would make at home. For me, as a fairly good cook and baker, if I were offering constructive criticism to the kitchen, I would say, grab some back issues of Fine Cooking magazine and see if you can pick and choose some interesting desserts that have been featured in it just to give your kitchen a little stretch. Go with several friends so that you can have a nice coffee and dessert and maybe share some of a little bit of everything.

When Houstons cold outside and you need some hot chocolate and baked goods, head over to Red Dessert Dive. They have a few parking spots out front, otherwise you could find street parking nearby. The place isnt very big, but they have a few tables and even some bar seating. We ordered some hot chocolates ($3.70 each). They have an option of adding flavors to them for no extra cost, so I went with the hazelnut. We also ordered one debusker ($3.75) which is like a half-brownie, half-cookie. The hot chocolates were very frothy, but I wasnt a fan of the hazelnut flavor I added. Keep it simple, and stick with the original hot chocolate. The taste of the hot chocolate wasnt very strong, but its nice for a cold night. I felt like the debusker would have been better if it was warmed up, but it was okay. Overall, this is a cool place to bring a date after dinner, especially on a cold night.

I ran across Red Dessert Dive coming from an earlier appointment and was drawn to the small, quaint neighborhood feel. The pet friendly location offers an abundance of pastries for the morning like muffins, scones, croissants, and breads. They have sandwiches for lunch and a ton of desserts. The desserts are changed seasonally. I ordered the banana pudding. Ive heard the oatmeal cookies and the beer bread are awesome. It was rich, creamy but not too sweet. Red offers high tea for $18 per person. They cater and make wedding cakes and other specialty cakes. The parking is right in front. If youre in the area let me know if you like it.

The dessert is fantastic. If youve got doubts about coming here Get Rid Of Them!!! The coffee is so fresh! I got an Americano and i just drank it black, the espresso was such great quality, it didnt need to be sugared or creamed! Their chocolate croissants are to die for! The whole place is warm and cozy yet still tasteful and modern. Plus the staff are great at what they do. Props to the bakers and baristas!

Red is a perfect place to grab a quick treat or sit inside for cake and coffee anytime. I was extremely suprised by how reasonable the prices were and the desserts were so rich and delicious. The staff was really helpful and gave great recommendations. The inside was very cute and won me major points with my girlfriend. Highly recommended! What I Ordered: Carmel Chocolate Cheesecake Cake

Love the sweets with the wine and enjoy the atmosphere what this place first open I took the owners LED lights so they can light up their sign that says red for some reason I have no idea what happened to the lights is so many employees there but I think something went wrong or someone took the lights Ive never have seen the LED lights on that I took to the owner.

On a restrictive diet, I was surprised to find a dessert place with nutritious, wholesome ingredients! Couldnt believe how fresh everything was and the joy in the workers as they proudly introduced their selections. We live almost an hour away from Red Dessert Dive, but it was so good the first time, that we drove there again the next day for some more!

We went in the evening, so maybe that influenced the quality of food that we received. We had the chocolate chip cookie ($3.50) and the strawberry cheesecake ($6.50 I believe). Both items were good, but definitely pedestrian for what you can get in the city at that price. We also had the espresso and the flat white. Again, both good, but pedestrian.

Soy Barista y me parece que tienen una excelente café. Ordene un cappuccino y realmente no se que me dieron porque nada que ver con un "CAPPUCCINO"

I love having this place nearby! Its a wonderful bakery that makes amazing cakes and great kolaches. It also has a nice little beer and wine list so you can come for happy hour. Its small, so its selection isnt huge, but as a place for a slice of cake after dinner it cant be beat!

This is a great little hot spot to grab a sandwich and coffee. They have a great section for deserts. We had the cake which was triple chocolate layered with vanilla icing and sprinkles. The cake was very bubbly and tasted great. I have also had the banana

Cute neighborhood shop with a little bit of everything: breakfast, coffee, lunch, beer, wine. The coffee was great but the bacon voids biscuit was AMAZING! Id definitely recommend checking it out. Not a lot of parking but still worth it.
