I felt devalued and ignored coming to this shop so much in May i walked OUT.. I was next as the 2 workers helped one customer. I asked the 1st worked did she have power rangers cakes she replied I believe so and handed me the photo book. I browsed for 5-10minutes as she sent the first customer on his way she stepped to the back. Next, a white lady and her daughter arrived, were greeted, brought to the counter, were shown cake sizes with costs, and collaborated with an order. Then the worker looks up at me and asks "am i done with that book can we see it? I said you SURE can and left. Im a professional although I may be black and 29years old my Money is GREEN. Went to Krogers after. Dont let it happen again.

I was looking online for a bakery nearby to make an Italian creme cake for my mothers birthday and found Take the Cake. Since all the reviews were positive. I did not hesitate to order. The staff were very nice and accomodating. All I can say is the cake was to die for. Everyone at the pary loved the cake and kept asking where I ordered it from. I also purchased one of their chocolate cakes they keep available for walk in purchases. It was so rich and tastey. Thank you so much for the awesome job you did on the cake. We have bought many cakes from here, at first we were very satisfied. But the quality is going down. We purchased a large cake and it was so dry. I was embarrassed to serve it at my nephews birthday party since I had bragged about how good this place was. We gave them one more chance, unfortunately it didnt work out. We bought a tres leches cake for my sister bday and it was awful. We had to throw away more than half the cake. It was so wet we couldnt even serve it, much less eat it. Way too much sugar!!!

I ordered 2 cakes for my sons birthday, a big one and a smash cake. The big one I order was a 12" round white cake with butter cream icing and it was amazing!! It says It feeds 30-40 and it defiantly did ! We had plenty left over to give out if people wanted to take some home. Both cakes were super moist and looked awesome! I spent about $100 on the two cakes which seems like a lot but I was completely satisfied with my order!! I will for sure be using take the cake in the future!! Everyone loved the cake!

I have never been so pleased with a cake! I got a chocolate minnie mouse cake for my daughters birthday. I just so happened to Google bakeries and Take the Cake came up. Im so glad I called them! the cake decorations were better than I asked for, the cake was so moist and the perfect flavor. My whole family was raving about how delicious the cake then said they will be using them from now on! I look forward to ordering from Take the Cake from now on and being a lifelong customer. ☺

Delicious Cakes/Pretty & Well Made They were helpful in coming up with a nice decoration to fit the birthday boys personality and talents. The lead time to have cake ready was reasonable. All of my guests enjoyed the deep, rich chocolate cake and the vanilla, strawberry filled cake. Butter cream frosting was also very rich and delicious. This is the first time Ive used them and I see why they have been around for many, many years! I highly recommend them!

This place was love at first bite for sure! My wife and I were first introduced to these cakes at Empire Cafe (also a great place to eat and chill)! We asked Empire where they got their cakes and the told us Take the Cake! Weve ordered a cake for every event our family needs from baby showers to birthdays! This place will not let you down! Best cake, hands down. The prices are more than reasonable and you get an abundant amoun of cake! Delicious.

I had my sons 11th birthday cake made by Take the cake and it was a huge hit! Very reasonably priced and the employees are very friendly and helped me figure out how to decorate the cake. Our Lamborghini cake was beautiful and the cake decorator really paid attention to detail. I absolutely loved this cake!! Thank you Take the Cake, youre team really is amazing!

I love this bakery. I am not a family member, I moved away from Houston and wish I could find a bakery like this on East coast. I visited their old location and ordered 4 cakes from Take the Cake for baby and wedding showers. Each time I ordered my instructions were carefully listened to and the cakes were beautifully decorated and tasted fantastic.

Disappointed ---Ordered the 3 layer cake with raspberry filling. The cake crumbled when we served it. Also had lots of icing in between the layers. The guest also didnt seem to like the cake. I saw a lot of cake left on plates as the waiters cleared the tables. I was very disappointied. I will not use them again!!

My favorite place for cakes and yummy treats!!! My favorite is the white cake, buttercream frosting and strawberry between layers! Omg! It is also a lot of cake for the price, so definetly you are getting what you paid for. My family from Puerto Rico are anxious to come back to Houston and have some cake!!!

Amazing! I had a under the sea themed party, and the one thing I wanted to stand out was the cake. And it sure did. Everyone was so amazed by the beauty of it. To make it better the cake tasted delicious. It was so moist. Definitely coming here for any other upcoming parties.

Been coming here for years. The Italian cream cake, hummingbird and German chocolate are my favorites. You have to make sure cake comes up to room temperature so texture is right. Dont eat cold. (We buy a lot of the ready cakes from cooler). Coconut cream pie is awesome too.

We have been using this company to supply our monthly birthday cakes for our office in Cypress, and I just have to say that the quality of these cakes is amazing. I am now 100% hooked on italian creme cakes and hummingbird cake. I would definitely recommend them!
