I recently purchased my sons first car here, a 2010 Corolla. This was not my first rodeo, ive bought numerous cars both from used car lots, new car lots and from private sellers. I can honestly say this was one of my best experiences. I never felt pressured or rushed and I felt that the salespeople were trustworthy and disclosed all of the information to me about the vehicle. It wouldnt have mattered anyways, because like I said, this was not my first rodeo. I did my homework before I ever went to the dealership, I had already ran a car fax report on the vehicle, and it matched the one they provided me with. All serial numbers matched the vehicle. I already knew the fair Blue Book value of the vehicle, and having worked on cars since I was a teen, I knew when I saw the vehicle that it was supper clean and in great mechanical condition. At the end of the day I drove off with a cash deal for a LOT less than fair Blue Book value. Tax title and license included out the door (money talks!). I highly recommend this dealership and would gladly work with Mark R. again, he was my salesman and also one of their buyers. (I have to say Mark has a knack for picking out cars at auctions, the corolla is spotless!) The car buying experience is not for everyone. Northstar is not Carmax where there is a set price. You need to do your homework and be willing to go in, sit down and negotiate. If you dont, you wont get a good deal. They want to turn over inventory just as much as you want to drive off the lot in a new car. The more vehicles they sell, and the faster they sell them, the more money they make. And remember, the more you need to finance, the more you cant afford it!

THEY HAVE AN F WITH THE BBB!! Save your time and money. Pull your own car fax, dont believe the one that is provided. This car lot is full of lemons. Bought a vehicle from this owner in Oct. I have been having nothing but issues with the vehicle ever since. Im being told by the dealer and multiple mechanics that the engine on the vehicle is going out. North Star Auto group asked that I bring the vehicle in for an inspection. They were suppose to have the vehicle for two days and kept it for a week. The owner would not provide a copy of the inspection or what work had been done to the vehicle. He claimed no work was done even though his receptionist told me so, and the vehicle was running different. To top it off, I was put in a very nice "loaner" vehicle for that week while they had my vehicle, and guess what, the motor went out on it, leaving me and my kids stranded. The owner blamed me though I barely drove the vehicle. The bottom line is that Im stuck with a 20k lemon. The owner refuses to pay in anyway. These vehicles are coming from auctions. They clean them up, temporarily fix them and sell them. Save your money, and the headache. Go to a dealer that will stand behind their promise of selling more quality vehicles.

If you are going to have an online presence, youd better provide good service!!! Sorry, but I gave these guys every chance to earn a good review and I give up. They are a typical small car lot but with BLING. They have some nice cars and trucks, many with rims or extras, but beware that their prices do not include these items. I got the truck and price I wanted, after 3hrs and even bringing the sales mgr. into the negotiations. Of course he started off by telling me the online price was a mistake. Then they spent forever trying to beat the APR% on the financing I BROUGHT WITH ME. (I GO PREPARED) The problem here is that the Sales Mgr. and the Finance Mgr. are the same person. Getting the right price and rate are nearly impossible. They want to make money on front and back of deals. I never got the bedliner they promised and is written into the deal. Add to this that I had to follow up on this and my tags every week with no results. Ive given up on the bedliner and after calling the office today, not my sales person, they finally can tell me my plates are in!!! My dealer temp tag expired last week. Ive had to lead this deal, negotiate it, and follow up the whole time and I am DONE!!!!!!

1st of all they claim they "in house finance" which they DONT! Thats the only reason why we even bothered to go because we knew we had low credit score so we were trying to built our credit somewhere. 2nd of all they dont give you the vehicles selling price! They want all your personal and financial information before they give you the listing price. So that was a RED FLAG & they made it difficult since then. I hold my paperwork in my hands until I knew the price they were listing which was 10,000 over KBB and Carmax. But with low credit of course we knew we had to pay a bigger price so we engaged in counter offers, just to be denied by the "finance manager" at the end of the night. What a waste of our time! With our cash in our pockets we left and we bought a newer, upgraded and better SUV for wayy cheaper price tag. They never list or say the price of their vehicles because as soon as they see your financial income they will over price you and hype up your APR % ... Spare your time & money, dont do business with these fools.

If I could give lower than one start I would. I saw a truck online that I wanted, called and confirmed the price, and drove down there to pick it up. While I was in the process of signing the papers I noticed they jacked the price up by almost 5k. I pointed out their error and they told me I was mistaken. I showed them the price I still had on my phone. The owner looked at my phone, spent 5 minutes on his computer, refreshed my phone, and handed it back to me with the new price on it and said it was a computer error. Really? Luckily I had printed out the price guarantee which I went back home to get. They were visible upset that I caught them in such a scam. They said they would honor the original price if I paid cash. What a joke. If you are dumb enough to buy here make sure your paperwork is correct before you sign. I ended up getting a much better truck for way less money. Buyer beware. Better yet, stay away. After researching this place the owner is here illegally.
