I like the store, because there are not many fabrics store in the area, but the manager is so rude, sometimes he try to be funny with costumer.
I was walking with my dog around since I live close by and I decide to go to the store to by a few things, ( friendly and super quiet poodle 5 pound) fit in my purse, when I was about to get my fabric cut he said in a very rude tone and unpolite way that I have to left the store, i
explain to him that i don't have a car to left my dog while i buy, but i was ready to pay and go he told the person that cut the
fabric to do not sell me anything, he was so rude to the worker to, he was going to call the police, I told him to do it, but he did not then i ask him to give me his full name and he refuse to do it, and i was so much longer at the store argue with him, intead he just let me pay and go.

I walked up to the cutting area and was told very rudely to take a number. Now mind you this was 7:30 pm and noone infront of me. She then proceeded to say to another staff that if you dont make um do it they wont learn. She called three numbers in font of me and never called my number. Another employee came over and took care of me. I made it very obvious that after all the years that I have shopped at Jo-anns I have never been treated so poorly. Then at check out the girl at the front specifically called some else over that was helping another customer to ring me up when she wasnt doing anything but stuffing her face at the register. I will drive the hour and a half to Annapolis before I ever go back to that one again.

Almost all of the employees are incredibly rude. They make it clear to the customer that they dont want to be there, and just complain or are unfriendly. I was annoyed about being told in a condescending way that I should have figured out to take a number art the fabric cutting counter...even though there were no other customers around. The Viking shop has VERY limited hours, so I almost always just drive up to the Frederick location....the Viking shop there is almost always open during store hours, and their employees are far more friendly and professional. Plus their store is much larger and better organized than the Gaithersburg location.

I agree with all the previous reviews... I like their assortment of fabrics, but they are understaffed and those who are "working" are very rude, not at all helpful, and make no attempt to provide assistance. I had a cart full of fabrics which I left there when I was told to "take a number", but the number machine was well hidden! When I asked where it was located, the fabric cutter practically bit my head off! I left the cart there and will NEVER go back to this location. Ill find fabrics/supplies elsewhere!

I love Joannes as a company and have shopped at various locations for years. For some reason, the customer service and training at this particular store is the worst I have experienced at almost any retailer, ever. If it wasnt so close to home, I would never go there. Have never gotten in and out in under 20 minutes even when running in to buy something simple.

The store is kind of hard to see as its in the very back side of the shopping center. For the most part its pretty good for fabrics but the other stuff isnt always the best. Staff is for the most part friendly and I most of the time get what I need. They give good discounts when you sign up.

One of the few remaining fabric store in Gaithersburg since Hancock Fabrics closed. Excellent sales and decent selection of fabrics and craft items. Very helpful and often knowledgable staff; some employees have been there for at least the past 15 years.

JoAnns has everything I need for my jewelry making and crochet/knitting projects. With the largest selection of yarn around, its always easy to find the color and weight that I need for whatever it is that Im working on. Great selection!

Good selection, and good service. The cashier even helped me find coupons that saved me several dollars! A good one stop for sewing and crafting supplies. Be sure to check their website for coupons before going.

My first time at a Jo-Ann fabrics, The selection was exceptional but the prices were just as varied, make sure to take a coupon into the store and have a plan of exactly what you want.
