The seafood department is the worse,indian guy works in the meat department but always comes over to the seafood section asking if you need help. I asked for snow crabs he said he had none we asked that he check the freezer he said " I dont work in this department" we asked for a manager he said " good luck they cant help you cause they know nothing" we got a manager he found the crab. The Indian ignorant imployee then tried ringing us up at the wrong price I told him the box said snow crab you are ringing king crab he replied that the manager said king ( this is after he said the managers know nothing) I then said try the code on the box he grabbed the box looked at my husband and said Im not selling to your wife. I walked away to the front desk where he told my husband woman needs to know their place. This is why I dont deal with woman. Eventually after 1hour I got the crab didnt enjoy it cause all I can remember was this idiot. Its been 2 months I never write negative comments however this is the only way I think I can get over my experience with him at least I hope so.

The produce here is usually bad. Theyve sold me bad meat twice, and the fresh produce (fruits and vegetables) is usually in bad shape. They get big shipments of a few items at a time and it goes bad before they can sell it. My husband recently bought 2 large boxes of blueberries so I could make pie, but I could only use half of them b/c so many were moldy. They also redesigned the store recently, and I do not like the new layout. I know Ill probably get used to it eventually, but in the middle of the store they have a weird section where they put things the think everyone needs like pet food and over the counter medications. When I was looking for allergy meds I had a very difficult time finding them since nothing was labeled.

This Safeway isnt too great. Produce is sometimes fresh, sometimes not. Prices arent as good as they could be. The people who work in the deli tend to ignore customers. Ive waited there for 5+ minutes sometimes, and on a few occasions I simply left without getting what I wanted. Ive seen them do this deliberately to other people too -- most of the time they know a customer is at the counter waiting and they choose to keep washing dishes or moving something around or whatever it is they spend time back there doing. Makes me wish there was a Whole Foods in Germantown. Costs more, but quality is better and the people that work there are on the ball usually.

Deli clerk was extremely rude! Came in at 15 minute to 7 am Saturday night with a craving for a delicious Safeway chicken artichoke flatebread sandwich. The clerk rolled his eyes at me told me no. I went and got the store management. He agreed to do it rolling his eyes again. Threw my bread on the counter and started making my sandwich with angry glares. At this point I couldnt take it. I told him if he hates his job and dosnt want to do it he shouldnt be working here and walked out of the store. All I wanted was a nice sandwich from safeway and instead got an attitude an a empty stomache!

Worst customer service ever Not enough cashiers to handle the lunch time crowd. Sixteen people in line between express and self check out. Five of six self checkout machines have issues. I asked for help twice and the woman goes to two other people first. So I left my $45 of groceries on the scale, walked out and went to Wegmans. The management of this store needs serious help as there is no management.

Absolutely worst customer service in Germantown. That " manager" has no idea how to run a store, I waited in line for service and the "manager" omar~ umair, (I cant pronounce his name) clearly saw me and closed his door. I do not understand why Safeway promotes such lazy behaviour. Need new management (obviously). My advice to safeway: Get a manager who actually gives a crap about customer service.

This place has the worst customer service i have ever experienced. The staff keeps the wrong pricing items and when you get to the register and tell them about it they argue with you instead of saying ok we will honor it since it was our mistake this has happened now on 2 different occasions, the indian guy that is the "MANAGER" is a joke.I will be doing my grocery shopping else where from now on.

Why would anyone rate a Safeway? Ill do it anyway: this place is OK. My wife used to work for whole foods and so we always shopped there. Eventually we get got sick of the trip and just started going to Safeway. You know what? Its fine. Quit being snooty - they got all your organic junks and fancy jarred things. Lines are shorter and they got a pharmacy. B+.

The good: Flower selection is amazing! There is a Starbucks and a bank inside. Big bakery section. Store is always well stocked. Plenty of parking. Staff are helpful and friendly. There is a self-service kiosk. The bad: Restrooms smell terrible. Its not well lit.

The staff at self check out section was not very helpful. When the product was not coming up in the system, he didnt bother to check the price out but kept rejecting what you were trying to say. Didnt buy that product in the end. Not a happy experience at all.
