Typical chain grocery store. Not impressed with the floral department but the customer service is outstanding. The store is clean, pharmacy is usually not crowded and sale and giant brand items are always a great deal. I find it peculiar that you are greeted by a 6 200+ lb security guard as soon as you walk in the front door. He is very pleasant but this neighborhood is not one that I think needs visible security at the front door. Just his presence makes you feel like youre in a bad part of town when youre not. I have even checked to make sure my purse was zipped and closed as soon as I saw him. Plus he stands at the front door all day. An undercover security guard that blended in with the shoppers (which Im sure they have) is not only a better way to apprehend shoplifting but is more discreet and does not make the shoppers feel like they are in a bad neighborhood.

It has a salad bar which is what I was craving for lunch. I just wish they had self check out. The salad bar is average good. At least it was clean. Tasted good. Ok stocked. Im trying to get my introvert alone time and theres a customer I cant seem to avoid. Hes prolly thinking the same about me--lol. Damn...I spoke too soon... Their 3 bean salad had green beans so tough & no flavor --I had to spit em out. Oh well. Somebody just accidently dumped a rogue can in there. It happens

Me and my homeboy went there on 10/16/2014. He wanted Salmon so we headed toward the seafood dept at 1:45PM. and there was nobody behind the counter, we waited a couple of minutes before we left. We didnt complain to customer service counter, because we feel we shouldnt have to and it wasted more time. You feel me? So, we went home and ate hotdogs. I think I will go to Safeway next time. Service staff is always friendly and willing to assist with any questions. Aisles are well stocked and not crowded. Service areas (Deli, Seafood, Bakery, etc.) are always well maintained.

(aside from the cashier) Every employee in this store that I ran into was extremely friendly and helpful (when I needed it). Id go out of my way to shop at this Giant again. Thanks guys!
