Love the employees, and the store in general. Now you may be wondering why Im giving them such a bad score. Well, in May, somebody who we allowed to stay over at our house stole some of my games out of the boxes I put them in while I painted my room. June comes around and I casually go into this location to browse, much to my curiosity a lot of the games they had on the shelves were also the ones that were stolen from me. I inspect them carefully and they look just like mine, so remembering that I put my receipts behind the manuals I start checking them inside and guess what I found? My receipts with my card number and everything. I pulled everything I saw at first glance that I knew was mine off the shelves and the manager on duty told me they would hold them behind the counter for me until Steven (the district manager) could be there to speak with me. Come the next meeting, I go into the store and speak with Steven who showed me 2 receipts with everything that was traded in on them. He assured me that they would pull everything on those receipts off the shelves along holding any extra copies they had of any of my games that they sold between the time frame. A couple days later, Im back in town from Austin and give them a call back. Steven tells me I am free to go in and pick up my games. I go into the store and they have 2 bags of my games for me, I look through them and a lot of the games were still missing, so I looked through the shelves and guess what I found... some more of my games!! They did not pull everything off like they said they would nor did they give me copies of what they had sold!! So in between the time frame of Steven telling me that they would pull everything on the receipts and the time I go in to pick up my games, they were still being displayed on their shelves and sold!! I was so furious and frustrated!! I asked him about the possibility of there being a 3rd receipt because some games were still missing that werent on those 2 receipts and he looked at me and told me "nope only those 2", treating me like if I was trying to scam them (out of MY own property) He kept saying "look Im trying to help you", well guess what! He isnt! Hes only out to watch his own back/ profit, and hes friends with a Harris Country Sherrif deputy who he went straight to after I left the store. You could say that is the fault of the guy who stole the games in the first place, which is true, but hear this: Steven was the incompetent guy who took the games in, on TWO different days, and did not input the correct ID into their system. So here we are in September, after waiting for the cops to do their job, I give this location another call asking if I could go pick up the remaining games and now the games are nowhere to be found apparently. I could go back in and look for myself but I was warned by his friend the Sherrif deputy not to or I could get arrested for disturbance. So thanks, Steven. You lost a good and loyal customer to your shady business practices.

Great Store!!! I have been coming here for 10+ years. Fernando the manager is excellent at helping you find what you need and giving you a great deal. The same could be said of the other employees Johnny, Adan and Isidro. WARNING: DO NOT deal with the "Steves". If you deal with these guys its going to be 1 star service. Heres a description of both. The first one is a younger Caucasian guy with a fade and the second is an older Caucasian guy with salt and pepper hair they both have the same first name hence the nickname the "Steves". If you look at the picture posted on Google youll see both of them behind the counter. One is in front of Fernando and one is behind Fernando. They tend to be there only 1-2 days out of the week. They have the tendency to rip you off on trade-ins and not give you the best used stuff. They used to be really cool to deal with but I think they are under pressure from whoever is the owner of all the stores. Nothing personal against them as people though. They are the regional managers of all the GamesPlus stores in the Houston area. So that means youll catch them from time to time in any of the other stores also. Other than that, everything is great!

This "was" my favorite game store.Ive purchased multiple consoles and games from this location. They have always been a little pricy but they always were very generous on buying games. But today I went in to trade in a Super Nintendo console and 20 games and Ive never been so low balled in my life. I even asked why a game I bought from them was $75 but now you will only give me $12. And the managers response was, "we cant match the price we sold it at but try to give a third back". Now I understand Im not getting all my money back but please explain how 1/3 of 75 is 12? I felt like I was on an episode of pawn stars. Will never do business with Gamesplus again and I recommend just sticking to eBay and Amazon.

When I initially visited this location staff was friendly and upbeat, didnt have what I was looking for, but showed me a nice alternative. However system wasnt compatible with TVs in the house. Next day I went to return the system and was first informed that it worked and they would show me how to make it work, then told me they had a no return policy, and if customers would be truthful well work with them. If I dont want something I purchased, Im pretty sure thats my prerogative. Not to be told to be truthful because I dont want a retro video game that doesnt work with my TV. Wont be shopping here again, and if you have a no return policy you might want to verbalize that before people start swiping cards.

i went into the store to look for old sega cd games and the emmployees were UNFRIENDLY and HIGHLY RUDE and UN-KNOWLAGABLE about what i was looking for, while in the store i also witnessed an underhanded, shady deal that involved unopened brand new blu ray movies from best buy next door, where the emmployee handed a fist full of money to the guy with the bag full of blu ray movies. the deal continued with 3 other people carring in best buy bags full of unopened brad new muliptle copyed blu ray movies. DO NOT SHOP HERE I WOULDNT WANT TO BE IN THE STORE WHEN THE COPS RAID THE PLACE. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Used to come here all the time and hang out with the people that worked there just because. I also used to prefer to come here over gamestop. But lately since management has changed and the staff is always different I stopped shopping here. I now go to the spring cypress store location off of 290. Love it there. This store however lacks joy. Oh another tip. Dont trade anything here. I got crappy rate, went to another location and got more. I am better off at the gamestop next to panda express. WAYYY BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE BTW
