On Sunday 6-15-08, I went to the location in Highlands, Texas and bought 2 packs of Boudreauxs frozen peeled crawfish. While cooking this product I thought that it had a real funny odor, it smelled rotten. When I looked on the package I finally found a date that said 5-25-08. No wonder it had that horrible smell. To my fault, I had thrown away the receipt so I couldnt return it. Dont you think that someone should be checking and getting rid of stuff that are outdated. To make things really bad, last month, at the same store, I purchased a package of Baby Back ribs. As I can recall the expiration date was for 2 days later. When I cut open the package, It had such a rank and rotten odor. I still had the receipt and took it back to the store. I had wrapped it in 3 store bags to bring it back it smelled so bad. Butcher guy nearly gagged when he opened that bag. Because this is the 2nd time in almost less than a month, we will not be buying anything that deals with meat or seafood or anything that looks bad. We will have to make a trip into Baytown now for our grocery shopping, because I guess you can say fool my once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. THe sad part about it is that I only live 1 block from this store. With the price of gas and the price of food, I will be spending more money. If you can prove that you have taken care of this matter, I will start shopping at your store again.

Let me start by saying two of the other reviews are pure nonsense. Ive never seen a homeless person in all the time Ive gone here, and thats been a huge chunk of my life. Now, the customers arent fancy. People of Wal-Mart would be jealous. But thats nothing to hold against a store. I never got a bad product. The store is kept clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I never got attitude at the checkout like I do at other stores. Its not a fancy store, but it is a good store. Its a good store with good products and good people. The low reviews are just b.s.

The baking goods isle always has a smell of urine. The food is old and they mix the rotten veggies and fruits with the old. Walking out not too long ago I saw a huge dead rat by the door. On top of that there are always homeless folks laying outside of the establishment and a lot of the workers smell like smoke or smell like theyve gone on themselves. Eww.

The Director of this Food Town is very good at keeping this store in check! But very friendly Cashiers,& other staff.. I got all my ingredients for fresh homemade Spaghetti Sauce. I can usually find everything I need right here at home! Makes it so much easier!!!!

Too much of a criminal element on premises and nothing is done to prevent it. Crack and methheads roam freely checking out cars and approaching customers. I no longer feel safe here.
