I was in the market for a bike rack for my car and after searching online and seeing so many options I decided to head to the store to get a better gauge as to what I should get. Me and my six year old son were in the store for about 4 minutes before someone asked if we needed help. I stated I was looking for a trunk mounted bike rack and he recommneded one to me, but also asked my year/make/model as there had been some compatibility issues apparently with my model of car in the past. Just to verify that it would fit he offered to install it on my car right there in the parking lot. During the install he provided information on how the device works and the various styles it could be mounted. After mounting the device he asked my son to pick out a bike from in the store so he could give a demo of how to actually secure a bike once the rack was installed. After verifying the fit and functionality we then returned inside the store (with the bike rack still installed on my car) and completed the transaction. I will definitely be returning there again for any future needs.

Purchased a Trek 4900 from Bicycles Inc in Hurst about 10-years ago. Took it in to this shop for a tune up and for repair of an out of true (bent) rear wheel. Was quoted $75 and agreed to pick up the bike a week later. When I picked the bike up, the wheel was still out of true. I had to ask the technician to repair the wheel while I waited - much to his apparent disgust - which was completed in short order. Later that afternoon during a ride, I discovered the tune-up had never been completed. I had a tune-up completed by another shop - how didnt charge me. The problem here is that the Bicycles Inc team was content to take my $75 and never perform any of the work ... and to let me walk out the door thinking all the work had been completed. Not very ethical. Have requested a refund, but my email has gone unanswered. Ive purchased three (3) bikes through Bicycles Inc - one as recently as this past Christmas - but given this experience, will shop elsewhere next time.

We have been in and out of this store for the last 7 months. Each time we go there we are treated as if we are invisible. We keep going back due to the selection and proximity. Most recently we went in to drop off several bikes for repair, and in the middle of getting help from a guy that worked there he just turns and starts talking to a different customer who just walked in. Then we NEVER got a call to tell us when the bikes were ready for pick up. When I finally called to find out if they were ready the manager interrupted me continually, and told me she was sure they had contacted me to let me know they were ready (DID NOT HAPPEN). The next day I went in to pick up the three bikes, and even though the store was empty since they just opened for business for the day, none of the employees offered to help me with getting all three bikes to the car. Customer service is NOT THE STRONG SUIT in this shop!

I bought a 7.3 FX trek bike there. I wanted a Specialized on-off road bike and they were out at the time. The guy selling the bikes talked me into buying the 7.3FX. I wished I would of waited because the bike I got isnt very good. The seat pole busted while driving down the road and I fell and couldve been hurt very bad. Very cheap Chinese materials. Also the brakes on the rear back tire stopped working and the front tires squeals like crazy. The over all performance of this bike is very very disappointing. I will never buy a trek bike again. My $150.00 Schwinn bike I purchase at target is a much better performing bike even though it is Chinese too.. I spent over $750.00 for that trek and Im sorry now a year later!!! How ever the Bicycle Inc. store does have very good bikes for sale and the manager is very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to bikes. Just beware of some of the crap you can get there.

Please, for the love of God do not go in here expecting the world for the price of your Walmart bike. Its never going to happen. Also, you get what you pay for. If you buy a $750 bike, you are going to get a $750 bike that might break on you half way into your ride. If you get a $1500 bike it might last longer, and so on and so on and so on. The employees here are very knowledgeable as they ride quite often themselves. One of the mechanics is the president of FWMBA, and hes a very experienced rider and mechanic. A little tip is to do some research before you purchase a bicycle as not all are created equal, especially the components....NOT just the frame. Talk to the mechanic, think about it: would you rather buy a used car from a 20 year car mechanic or from a used car salesman? I hope this helps!

Went in to get sized for and buy a new mountain bike. After 15 minutes, man helping another customer said that somebody would be with me soon. After total 30 minutes of being ignored after that we headed toward the front door. Lady at front desk asked if she could help me or if somebody else already was. I said that would be great, eventually. (Now I know that was a little rude, but Id been waiting with for a half hour with my children). She responded, "Well, IM asking you NOW!" I paused, looking for the right words to smooth this all out, even though I was quite angry. She kept prompting me, "Well? Do you need help? Im trying to help you, what do you need help with?" We turned and left without a word. On the way out she yelled, "Fine! Ill just help the NEXT person! Whos next?"

Not sure why I keep getting horrible service. This place is less than a mile from my house and two times in a row Ive gone in there without a single word said to me. This last time I was the ONLY person in the store. I was looking to buy some cycling shoes and I just stood by the back wall thinking eventually someone might offer me some help...nothing. I then proceeded to look at some of their bikes and accessories and still nothing. Apparently the employees conversation back by the maintenance area was extremely important. I give up...Ill take my business elsewhere which is sad since their location is extremely convenient for me.

The sales staff focused on disparaging other bike shops (specifically performance bike) instead of giving any information whatsoever on what deals/offers they have and how their values match up. I came into the shop sharing some of the offers that I saw at other shops and whether they had similar specials. Instead of addressing the question the sales guy went into a tirade about how awful the other places are. In short, I think bicycles inc is unwilling to justify their pricing because their pricing is poor and their sales staff must either be highly commissioned or naturally disingenuous.
