Im a huge believer in letting shops make things right with their customers, but I do not like it when they try and take advantage of them. With Bicycles Plus, they received three strikes with one journey. I went in last week to get an estimate on servicing two bikes. One was in decent shape, but had a chain rattle and needed the rims adjusted. The other I knew would be a bit of work. For the first, they offered a $100 tune-up. Ive yet to this day been able to figure out what this entails. There was no sign, no literature, and the techs were vague at best. I figured $100 would get what I needed, albeit a bit overpriced, and save me the work myself. The process took several days and when I got the bike back, they wanted an extra $20 for a cassette since the old one was "rattling while shifting" Sure, fine, another $20 on top of $100 tuneup will make the bike like new. After getting the bike back and getting hurried out the store, I took it out for a spin. The tires were deflated, the chain rattle is still there, and the cassette still makes a noise while shifting! What they did, Ill probably never no, but from what I can guess is it took almost a week to do nothing. Strike two happened with the other bike. Its an old racing bike that I hold dear. I knew it needed a lot of work (tires, tubes, brake pads, chain, etc) but the frame was in great shape. The looked it up and down and offered a deal of $300 to look at it, plus parts. They wanted to sell me new tires at $60 each to start. After saying I would think about it and call back, I left the store with a new bike for my wife. As I was being hurried out the store with the new bike, I was asked by the tech if I would like to donate it. I said I would think about it and call back as I might be able to source parts for cheaper. I went on Amazon and found all of the parts they were trying to sell for $55 and decided to do the work myself. Strike three happened the next day when I called to inform them my intentions of keeping the bike. Apparently their "donation program" consists of whichever tech mentions it, keeps the bike. I was told that the tech who helped the day prior had already taken it home to work on which I found very odd. They said to call back the next day when he would be back. Anxiously, I waited and called the next day and found out that the tech misheard me, took the bike, and had already started stripping it! I asked for my bike back immediately before they did anything else and drove up there as fast as I could. Already the tires and tubes were taken off, and noticeable a new chain had been put on. I asked for my parts back, and they tried charging me $20 for a chain! After a bit of arguing, they did concede to let me have the chain because they couldnt find my original one. After this nightmare experience, I cannot recommend Bicycles Plus to anyone and will never be dealing with them again.

SCAM ARTIST! To make a long story short.. My girlfriend and I were looking for her a new mountain bike. We narrowed it down to 2 bikes. A Trek for $399 and a Cannondale Tango 7 for $549. The "salesman" suggested we go have lunch and come back to test ride them again. After we got back, we noticed they changed the price on BOTH BIKES. They marked the $399 Trek up to $549 and the Cannondale up to $749. After mentioning the price change, the salesman acted dumb like it was the right price. So we asked another employee to look it up, and he confirmed that it had the wrong tag on the bike. BOTH BIKES were marked up! He thought we wouldnt notice the price difference! Then he became very defensive after we told him the tags were changed within the 20 minutes we had lunch next door. I called the Cycles Plus in Coppell and told them everything. They offered to pick the bike up and we could buy from their location. they said Flowermound location has been ripping people off for a while now, and they will definetely handle the situation. We bought it from Coppell store, and will never go back to Flowermound location. STAY AWAY!

I am brand new to cycling and recently bought a used road bike. I thought it smart to get the bike tuned up prior to riding it seriously. I brought the bike to Blue Bonnet for a tune up. They recommended I replace the chain. When i brought the bike home the shifting was clunkier than when I brought it to them. I ended up bringing the bike back to them 3 additional times within a week. They had 4 people work on the bike. After the chain fell off after my very next ride, I immediately asked for my money back. To their credit, they did refund my money. I immediately took the bike over to BicyclesPlus and Travis fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes no charge. In addition, he warned me if I continue to have anymore problems to take it back to them so that they could fix the chain that Blue Bonnet had replaced. They said its a bit tight and could cause some problems. These guys know what they are doing.

Took my bike in for one of their "Free for life tune-ups with purchase" deals I got on a $3500.00 bike. Immediately had three techs all telling me different things needing to be fixed to include new chain, brakes and derailer. I went ahead and agreed since the bike was a couple years old. Was offered a $65 package for cleaning and lubricating bike. Picked up the bike 10 days later and when I complained that the bike still had dirt on the shocks, cranks, and frame, I was told the $65 "free" tune up is for frame wipe down only! Was told if I wanted more cleaning done Id have to leave the bike for another week! They wont be in business to much longer when the prefer stiffing customer for a couple bills in lieu of selling top line bikes! Avoid at all cost!

The staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. I took my bike in for assembly that I purchased online. It took them 2 days to put it together and on my very first ride the front tire blew out and i crashed. I took the bike in and they said they had to charge me to fix the bike and that it would cost more than the original assembly. When I explained that they had just built the bike the guy behind the counter said "Its not as if we popped the tire ourselves". Needless to say I left with my bike and I will look for a repair shop with better staff. I regret the day I ever walked in there and wish there was some way I could get my money back. Avoid this place at all cost.
