Once situated at Beltline and Preston, this store moved down the street to a large, upscale-seeming shopping center on Beltline and Montfort. The new location is gorgeous and very posh, lots of natural stone on the facade outside with outdoor tables and a gazebo, and marble floors on the inside. The selection seems a bit thin for my tastes, but its terrifically convenient so I always go there first. The interior of the store has just recently been re-arranged, so dont be surprised when your favorite section seems to have been supplanted by Eastern Mysticism or Technical Certification guides. Its still there, just in another part of the store. Buy your reading material, and then head across Beltline to La Madeleine for an excellent Caesar salad with a hint of bite to it, and a cup of extremely addictive Tomato Basil soup. Sit at one of the windows on the north side, Eat and read and watch the world go past for an hour. Not paradise, but a relaxing way to waste some afternoon time.

Note: this is my first time visiting this particular Barnes and Noble. The store was nice, clean, and the workers on the main floor were very polite. My negative review pertains to the café portion of the Barnes and Noble. When I approached the coffee bar, the barista rolled his eyes, slowly walked to the computer, said ¨what do you want?", after i politely asked for a tall Americano, he slowly and reluctantly retrieved it for me, and then I received no thank you, your welcome, or smile. So I took a seat. Once I realized that the seats were uncomfortable too and i didnt feel particularly welcome in the café, I googled other coffee shops in the area. So I left and went to Dunn Bros. Coffee which is 5 minutes down the road and their service (and coffee) was soooo much better. Dunn Bros has a new fan. Barnes and Noble 5301 Belt line rd #118...not so much.

nice bookshop with a cafe, horrible customer service from few reps. My last time there, i bought some DVD and a book and asked the guy if this can be gift wrapped. The guy said yes, it can be done at front desk... and if he had said no, i would not have bothered asking. When i did go to front desk to request a gift wrap, i was asked to step aside, being snickered at, and kind if humiliated by the girls..as if like.. how dare you ask us to gift wrap.. so watch out for female reps in the store..otherwise great facility

First let me say, growing up in NYC Im used to a messy but well stocked bookstore. I had no trouble finding what i needed. When I arrived at the checkout the cashier informed me that there was a sale going on for the kind of book I was about to purchase and pointed me to a wall. Excited wih enthusiasm, I searched the wall and found an even better book with two-thirds the ticket price of the original; and was able to purchase another book all for the cost of the original. Glad the cashier was able to help.

The worst customer experience ever. An employee that works there Named Allison always rude and disrespectful. She comes and yells who spelled some sugar on the floor. Isnt this ridiculous? Ask a customer who spelled sugar on the floor? Is that really my problem? Is that really how a manager should act? I am not sure what Barnes and noble are doing but definitely then need to learn how to train their employees and learn how to hire managers.

One of the nicest bookstores I have ever been in. Nirvana for bookworms! The selection of books is expansive, there are bargain galore and the folks at the info desk are very helpful. This is the perfect place to go Christmas shopping or birthday shopping. The Nook eBook reader is crackerjack too. The Cafe is a Starbucks Cafe, but the customer service in the cafe is always slower than molasses. Why?

It was pleasant, and I was able to browse through some books which were of interest to me. The staff greeted me at the door. People appeared to use the casual environment for various reasons. Since the location is also a coffee shop, some people even use it to conduct employment interviews.

This is a good bookstore. They have tons of books, as well as toys, games, e-readers and tablets. I like this location, and the employees typically offer to help you find what you need. They also offer hot and cold drinks, food, and desserts in their cafe area. Yum!

I know bookstores are going out , but something about turning the page feels so good. My boyfriend brought me here on a date and it was really original and fun we picked out a book that was something we were interested in and each read 10 pages from each others book.

Average Barnes and Noble. Guess its s good concept that you can take a book off the shelf, sit and read it and put it back when you want to leave. In my day, it sounds like a poor business plan, but i guess it works well for them.

Always very clean, and the staff seems very ready to help. Probably the only Barnes and Noble that consistently asks me if I would like to become a member. Even though I say "no" they are very polite.

Its a great place to shop for books. Plus they provide comfortable chairs where u can sit & read for a while if u want to. Prices r a bit high for some books. But they do have some good sales.

They have a large well lit store that has a very helpful and friendly staff. We were able to preorder a book before its release date and have it delivered for a birthday present.

Very expensive. Rather shop Half Price Books. The only reason I like going in is because the coffee shop makes the store smell so good! Nothing like new books & coffee smell!

Regular Barnes and Nobles. Seemed to have a lot more people trying to hang out there. I wonder why they dont have more room for reading?
