UPDATE: Please do not call me a liar. I called your business phone number listed on your business card (screenshot included) as you can clearly see someone identifying themselves as KORIN from "tattoo shop" did indeed send the dismissive text I referred to in regard to my experience at your shop. Maybe you had no idea this occurred as I am inclined to believe the owner is not named Korin according to business card. This is not how you treat customers, especially NEW customers and you definitely dont blame a customer for bad experience w/ service. I would not know if another shop would blame me for piercing falling out, its never happened before. I normally go to a different tattoo shop in Austin. Thought Id try this place as I noticed a sign indicating they were having a piercing special for Friday, May 13th. I let my rook piercing close. So I decided to let them re-pierce it. The girl that pierced my ear was nice. However she was having some issues with securing the ball. She eventually used some pliers. Same method I use, thought no problem right. So wrong. I wasnt offered any cleaning solution or instructions on how to care for my new piercing. The following Monday night, the ring falls out. I called the shop, got voice mail. I get home from work on Tuesday night, got a text from the number I called the night before (NOT a call, but a text, real professional right?). I explained what happened. Unbelievable! Im told it will have to heal and they can RE-PIERCE it! I responded you JUST re-pierced it not 4 days ago and I had replaced it with a temporary ring to prevent closure. I informed WHOEVER it was texting me from the number on THEIR business card that I have a place that will put a new ring thats properly SECURED for me, just thought Id give HIS business some support. I basically get a response that says "dont care, already got your money!" I replied my mistake for selecting your shop. The text bandit responds with "yep". Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend. Horrid service. Glad I only spent $20 bucks in that place.

I went to Taste of Ink in May 2013 in response to a Craigslist ad by the owner, Trent, looking for new clientele. He was offering discounted tattoos in exchange for the client entering the tattoo into a tattoo contest. So I drove to Austin and proceeded to sit through around 7 hours of tattooing. Trent was extremely professional and friendly. He made sure to show me that his needles were new, his hands were clean, his gloves were fresh and his ink was good. He made sure I was happy with the design and placement of my tattoo, and throughout the tattooing he made sure I was comfortable. He was probably the nicest guy I couldve gotten as an artist. As for the tattoo itself, its gorgeous. Its realistic, the colors are vibrant, the lines are sharp. A year later and its still just as good looking. Im never going to anyone else for tattoos again!

All of the artists at the shop are amazing! Amazing art and the tattoos! I myself have gotten several tattoos from Lucky Mac and would recommend him to anyone. He does amazing geometric and turditional work. The owner Trent is an amazing realistic tattoo artist. All of the artists in he shop are always friendly and professional. The shop is always extremely clean and comfortable. I will be back to visit them soon! This is one of the best shops in Austin. I highly recommend them!

Went to taste of ink to get the other side of my nose pierced, and Valeria did great!!! She was very nice and personable. She made sure to take her time to make sure that my new piercing was even with my older one. She made me feel super comfortable, & made sure to explain all the steps of what she was doing. And also gave me some good tips about aftercare as well. Would highly recommend Valeria for any piercings!!

Alex Citrone is my artist, hes done 3 pieces on me so far and I love them all. From just a small jammer with a handful of lines, to a huge american traditional wolf, hes killed everything hes done so far. The shop is always clean and organized and the crew makes you feel welcomed. I will be returning in a couple of weeks to have Alex redo an old, large tattoo on my arm that has faded, he has my total trust. 5 stars.
