Had some work done on a big piece by the owner a while back. The work looks good but the clock keeps ticking(charged hourly) as he eats his sandwich, goes out to his car for 15 minutes at a time(more than once), stops to talk with buddies that are in town from Colorado etc. Sat for 2 sessions (both of them several hours and hundreds $$) and he did it both times. I asked him about it after the 2nd time...lets just say it was pretty obvious, based on how the conversation went, that he knew what he was doing. It was like confronting your kid when you catch them sneaking a cookie. My guess is this happens a lot but very few customers have the stones to call him on it in his own shop. If you cant trust a business named "1st Revelation" then who the hell can you trust? Not a cool way to do business...especially when you claim to be a "Christian" shop. Best advice....watch the clock and keep track of time when youre on the table folks.

Terrible shop. Used to go there when Haap was working, but now everything has gone downhill. First off, went for a piercing.. Mandos girlfriend was working there at the time & he had to come in & help her. SHE WASNT EVEN LICENSED TO DO DO PIERCINGS! Then come to find out it was crooked. I went back & told her, she told me my eyes were crooked. THEN my boyfriend & I wanted hand tattoos, everyone there said they wouldnt do it because it was a terrible place to put a tattoo... but all of them have hand tattoos? Ok.. well Mando volunteered so we took the opportunity. HE DID THE MOST TERRIBLE JOB! I got a SIMPLE anchor. 4 lines, a circle & 2 triangles.. one triangle was closed & the other opened. I went back & told him Id like it fixed & he screwed it up even more! Too bad I have to drive 4 hours to continue to see Haap, cause this place SUCKS!

Went to the shop the day before because the website states they dont do quotes over the phone or via email and got set up with Chad for an appt. the following day. Process was painless and the dude took his time trying to figure out what I wanted,and made sure I was going to be happy with final outcome. Even went back afterwards for some additional shading and tweaks I thought I wanted after the fact. Never felt rushed, never felt like a burden, never made me feel like what I was asking was beneath him. Great dude, and great shop. Recommend to all who are in the market looking to get work done. Will be going back to finalize a 1/2 sleeve.

My husband and I both came here to get some work done. I got half a sleeve done by Mando, and my husband got almost a full sleeve done by Sandy. The guys here are super friendly and professional. They stayed until we were done, which was well into the wee hours of the morning. The tattoos we got are phenomenal. My 16 year old daughter was with us and will be coming to Sandy to get her first professional tattoo when shes 18. We will definitely be coming here for any future work, even though we are coming from well over 100 miles away. Its totally worth it!

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the studio and the friendliness of the staff and artists but I am SO disappointed in my tattoo. Chad was my artist and he pressed so hard with the tattoo gun and pulled my skin so tight that my tattoo had major "blow out" and is raised beyond belief. The weirdest thing is that he left a gap in the design and I didnt realize it until after I got home and took the wrap off. There is also some major inconsistency in the lettering but I dont have to say that, just look at the picture!

Tod the owner did a tat for me several yrs ago and I was pleased. So I came back here recently and Chad worked with me on creating my piece work half sleeves on both forearms. Awesome work!!! Were currently working on my back now and Id recommend him along with the rest of these guys to anyone...they each have things that theyre really great at and if you ask one of them for something that they know another artist can do better than they tell ya... Thats true professional ethics at its best!!!

On a whim I decided to have my tongue re-pierced one summer day, I was worried that the process would hurt more due to my scar tissue. Upon my arrival I was greeted by their piercer, Braylyn... Very warm, welcoming and sweet! She went over the process, and made sure to show that all of the equipment was sterilized. The shop & room where she worked smelled freshly cleaned, which was very reassuring. She was done before I knew it, I had minimal pain.. If any! I highly recommend her!

I found Chelsea on instagram, and made an appt with her for a tattoo. She was very quick with replies when I had questions, was ready for me when I arrived, and was very nice and professional. She sent me the drawing before my appt so I could make any changes, really took her time with placement, and helped me pick out colors. Everyone I met in the shop (Tod, Jova, Austin and the blonde piercer) were all very nice and made it a very welcoming experience. Will be back!

This week I went to Tod for a custom flower tattoo on my foot and he blew me away! He was very attentive and made the design very unique. It was exactly what I wanted, and he really worked with me to get it in my price range. I have also gotten my nose pierced here, and brought my sister to get a naval ring. Both piercing were perfect. The staff is friendly and very professional. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone!

Todd, the owner, did my first tattoo in December. He was AMAZING! I am in love with it. I came in without an imagine in mind and only an idea. He managed to create exactly what I was looking for. He sat and had kind conversations with my Mom and I, without a problem. I plan on going back this summer for another piece. I would recommend 1st Revelation to anyone looking for an awesome, kind AND affordable tattoo shop!

Went to get my septum pierced. The guy who pierced me believed "any idiot can pierce" (ironic right?) And although they were friendly and kind.. my piercing itself was poorly done. It was pierced way to close to the surface so it could easily be ripped out, took it out immediatly when I got home and had a chance to get a good look at it. The jewelery was so shallow I could feel and see it through my skin.

I called them Friday and was told to come in Tuesday morning when they open, so I went in this afternoon and was rudely told they cant do anything until 3 and my tattoo would be 80 for an inch by two tattoo that is extremely simple. Then I was rudley told when I call backed that they would try to fit me in a 3 but wouldnt promise they could do it at all today. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a very good experience at this shop. We were 4 people strong and we only expected them to maybe get to one or two of us. Chad and Austin worked with us and did an awesome job to get all 4 of us done. Nothing felt rushed and all 4 jobs (small and large) turned out great. I will recommend this shop to my friends and I will be coming back.
