I was in town for only a few weeks and wanted to get a tat Ive been looking to add for a while. Did some research and ultimately decided on Gully Cat due to the favorable reviews and location. Skyler did not disappoint. I was able to set up a date to get it done and we agreed on the idea for the layout. I actually had to change the time we originally agreed on due to a work issue and he was very accommodating in my request. This guy has some serious skills! His shading was on point and his lines were crisp. He was very methodical in his approach and considering the size of the tattoo, I was very impressed by how quickly he was able to knock it out. We even made a slight change to the design mid way through (at his suggestion) that made it even cooler and more unique. I have gotten nothing but compliments since I got it and out of the 6 tattoos I have this is by far my favorite. Bro you out did yourself! Thanks for the great piece and I would recommend Skyler and Gully Cat to anyone looking for top notch work in a professional, laid back environment with fair pricing.

Called in ahead and talked with Mike Terrell about a forearm piece. Walked into the shop about 30 minutes later and spoke to him face to face about what I wanted and he outlined the area that we were going to be working with. About a hour later he was done with the sketch and it was more than I had hoped for. The tattooing was great Mikes line work is impeccable and he has one of the lightest hands Ive ever been tattooed with. Would HIGHLY recommend this shop to ANYONE looking for ink, virgin skin to 25+hour in the chair guys like myself. If your looking for great artwork from great artist go check these guys and gals out at GullyCat.

Gully Cat is amazing! I got a Gal 5:1 down my spin as my first tattoo, and it turned out amazing!!! Kelly was absolutely wonderful and very funny. I was pretty nervous because Gully Cat was a walk in, however they were the most professional and had the best reviews online out of others I looked up. Kelly also did my friends shoulder and that turned out great(neither of ours had shading if thats is what you are looking for, just fyi)! She worked very well with our nerves and had a lot of experience that showed in her work on us! I will being going back the next time I get more done. I totally trust Kelly at Gully Cat FOR SURE!!!

Gully Cat is so wonderful, I love this place. Chris Sparks did my most recent piece and it was one of the most fun tattoo experiences Ive had...I was just a walk in but he completely respected my original idea and collaborated with me to add his own flair to it. He is a truly skilled tattoo artist and an awesome guy to spend a few hours with, even while hes getting the gnarliest spots of your tattoo done. He doesnt skimp on the details and takes his craft seriously. Youll leave with a piece of art better than you had imagined it going in. Much love for this shop!

Everyone here is so friendly and laid back! They are very welcoming as soon as you step foot in their door. This tattoo shop is different from others, it has its own personalization that makes it stand out from other shops. Skyler Payne was my tattoo artist, & I am very glad i had the chance to be tattooed by him. He is very talented and is great at walking you through the whole process, making it enjoyable. This shop is exactly what I was looking for when I wanted to get my first tattoo. I didnt want some corny 6th street novelty shop and Gully Cat is not that in any way. My piece was just a concept when I went in and the owner Mike created something I never imagined would look so killer and will always be proud of. The feel of the place is very traditional, comfortable, and clean. I could not imagine a better experience even if it was not my first tattoo.

Ive been seeing Mike T. for over 10 years, and he has done amazing work on me. Not only has he ALWAYS created exactly what I wanted, but he did an AMAZING cover-up job! He took a cheesy 90s tribal tattoo (my first one) and created a BEAUTIFUL cherry blossom design---FREE-HANDED! To me, the shop isnt your typical tattoo shop. It has a very eclectic feel to it, and there is always great music playing. I highly recommend Gully Cat Tattoo (and Mike T.)!!!

Had some A+ work done by Jason Jones at Gulley Cat. He is the man for Star Wars stuff in Texas. Ive been to & worked in a shop. This is a cool shop. Inviting with just enough edge to make your experience memorable. I havent worked with the other artists but they all seemed extraordinarily professional for the industry. No one started any fires or threw drinks, A+. Safe, clean, great level of talent.

Nikki Jo has been doing my tattoos for years. Before I found out how amazing as a person she is she was my tattoo artist. She has always been very professional and made me feel comfortable regardless of how many tattoos I have. A lot of places in Austin do not make you feel that way. I love all the guys at Gullycat and I cant imagine getting all of the great work done anywhere else in Austin.

Ive got several tattoos and i went ALL over town trying to get some celtic work done and everywhere else was gonna charge $200+ and made it seem like it was the hardest tat to do. Right when i walked in to GUlly Cats I was taken back and treated like gold. the guy was awesome! only $100!! Ill be back for more!
