Its very rare that Im blown away by customer service. Having worked in both retail and the restaurant industry for a combined 10+ years, I know my expectations are high. But I also know it isnt really that hard to make someone feel good by simply smiling and being polite. I recently went wedding dress shopping with my mom, my sister, and my sister-in-law. After a disheartening first appointment at Serendipity Bridal, I was feeling down and not the least bit excited about finding the perfect wedding dress. And then there was Blue Bridal Boutique. Our second appointment was at this adorable store down on South Congress. When I called to make the appointment, I was honest about what I was looking for in a dress. Since its a second wedding, with a late morning ceremony, I knew I was not looking for a traditional bridal dress. But I still wanted something special that made me feel really good while wearing it. Jaime, a sales associate, met us at the door and introduced herself to our group. She had detailed notes from my appointment conversation and did not bat an eye when I told her what my budget was. She gave us a tour of the store and pointed out sections that would be of more interest to me. They use a system of hanging tags to mark dresses you would like to try on. It was fun to pass them out so that everyone could choose a dress that they wanted me to try on, and Jaime collected them and took them to the fitting room for me. There is a fun seating area in the back of the store (think crisp white couches and fancy chandeliers) that provided a private spot and allowed us to enjoy the experience together. Jaime brought the dresses to me and helped me with getting them on. After a few near-hits, and several misses, I put on a dress that fit like it was made for me. I turned around to look at my mom, sister and sis-in-law, and they all had the same reaction. We had found the perfect dress. Throughout the whole process, both the owner and Jaime were so patient and helpful by bringing different options to try. Not once did they go over my budget, and I appreciated the fact that Jaime always asked what I thought of each dress, regardless of other opinions. She never pressured us over any decisions, and even brought us wine to celebrate when we finally said "yes to the dress!" She followed up by email later in the day and that personal touch really summed up the whole experience. I left the store with a serious dress high, and just so excited that I was able to find something that I loved so much. The overall experience at Blue Bridal made the afternoon such a fun and special one, and I was so glad that my family was able to participate in it. Not only do they offer stellar customer service, but they also offer a wide variety of dresses in a price range that is much more affordable for the average bride. The quality of the dresses was amazing, and the smaller, more personalized service made a big difference as opposed to trying on dresses with other groups of people around you. I would recommend to anyone with an upcoming wedding, to start at Blue Bridal. If you are wanting a true bridal dress experience, there really is no other place to go!

I do not recommend this place for curvy/plus size brides. They said over the phone that they had a wide selection of different styles especially for curvy/ plus size brides but they didnt. Almost all of their dresses are empire waisted which for me I did not feel was flattering. And I specifically told the consultant that I didnt like the empire waisted gowns yet she still continued to bring me them. The dresses and colors were nice but the biggest size they carried was, if I remember, 4 sizes smaller than me. This was my first appt to try on dresses and it was not a good start. Even while we waited and looked around it was so unorganized. I asked where my size dresses were and she said they were organized by designer rather than sizes so I was very confused. I will say that the consultant was very nice and the shop was beautiful, but I was not impressed. So unless you are a very slim bride looking for a flowy empire waisted gown... You most likely wont find what you are looking for. Also FYI... If you do go and are looking for parking they have a reserved section in the back behind the store. We didnt know about it and ended up driving up and down the street for about 5 mins or so before we found something. Wouldnt want the same thing to happen to you. Hope this helps.

I have had the best experience with Blue Bridal! The entire staff is so helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely nice. I went shopping with my mother, sister, one of my bridesmaids, as well as my fiances mother and sister. Not only did Blue Bridal accommodate all of us in their little boutique, but they also helped me listen to my own tuition and pick a beautiful and unique dress that I am so excited to wear on my big day All the dresses were great quality at very reasonable prices. They were very prompt in ordering my dress and calling me when it came in. It even came in a little early and it fits perfectly. They also have beautiful accessories that Im definitely going back to pick out later. Also, all the girls seem genuinely happy and excited for you, which I think is really special considering they must deal with so many brides. I cant say enough great things about this place. I definitely them recommend to any Austin bride!

Anyone getting married in Texas should visit Blue Bridal! I went in there just for fun not expecting to buy, but her dresses were beautiful. In less than 30 minutes I found the dress of my dreams. Ruthie was very helpful. She provided professional and honest feedback. When the dress arrived, it was so close to my size I didnt have to spend a fortune on alterations. The seamstress she recommended was amazing! When I took the dress in to be hemmed, the seamstress was really impressed with the quality of silk and stitching in the gown. She stated that gowns of that caliber are rare. The best part? I didnt spend a fortune on the gown! It was so reasonably priced. Thank you, Ruthie. You made such an essential part of my wedding smooth, stress-free, and fun!!

I said YES to the dress at Blue Bridal!! I called Blue, based on google reviews, and was able to make a personal appointment the very next day! My wedding is in three months so I was scared of not finding anything to suit me that could be a "take home" dress or a quick delivery. I already had a style in mind from trying on dresses all day at another place so Joanna helped me try on and cancel out down to a couple dresses real quick! She was SO sweet and helpful. The ladies here are very genuine and accommodating to your needs. Nothing feels rushed or uncomfortable. I found something that was totally "me" and can not WAIT to walk down the aisle in this dress. Thank you Blue Bridal for offering such a pain free, joyful experience.

I was nervous about trying on wedding dresses for the first time and set up 3 appointments for one day. Blue Bridal was the first stop on our tour of boutiques. The selection was one the smaller side, but my consultant was very friendly and found a few samples for me to try on. While I didnt end up getting my dress here, prices were very reasonable (for the bridal world) and the experience was way better than I could have ever imagined for it being my first time trying on wedding dresses. Also they have plus size samples which was the one of my main concerns to begin with.
