I use to go here a lot when I lived in San Antonio and worked at La Cantera. I went back recently on a trip to SA and this place really is far better than the other locations in Texas! The people here are so nice and friendly. I ended up purchasing a Burberry purse here rather than from the Burberry store located in the mall. Jessica in the purse section is amazing! Shes so friendly and nice and willing to help you and all your needs. Im pretty picky when buying larger priced items. This location actually carried more Burberry items than the Austin location. They had a wallet that the Burberry store didnt have in stock as well. (The people at Burberry were very nice as well). I think my purse was a few dollars cheaper here as well. I really shop at Nordstrom for the personalized level of service that you receive. I use to eat at the Bistro for lunch as well during work. The food is outstanding, you would never guess. Its a great stop for lunch during the day and even more so now that the food court closed down here (weird). They have such great sandwiches and the fries omgosh the fries are the best!

I was shopping in the nordstroms at la Cantera yesterday with my girlfriend and as we were looking around the mens section two male associates asked me how my day was. I said I was fine. As we started walking towards the rest of the mens section I heard one of the men say very loud that we should be "watched" to the other employee. Other customers heard this and it was very rude and embarrassing for me and my girlfriend seeing how I was planning on being a paying customer and had the intention to spend $400+ on one jacket alone. I can tell your staff doesnt care about the customer or the negative attention a false accusation can give. Just because I am wearing jeans and a t shirt doesnt mean Im a theft. If you like being publicly shamed because you do not look like a rich buisness man then this is the store for you. I personally will never be returning to this store.

Tried calling your San Antonio La Cantera store today and the telephone rang at least 30 -40 times before it was answered. I asked to be transferred to the hosiery department and again the telephone rang and rang again before someone in the handbag department answered saying there was no one in the hosiery department until tomorrow morning (it was 7:00 pm in the evening) and she could not answer my question ----- very frustrating and disappointing!

Used to love coming here and getting my makeup, shoes, and accessories. They do have a good kids shoes collection, and Im sure Ill continue to come for that, but recently the service has been so sub-par (we once waited for 15 minutes to try and check out at the Chanel counter) that Ive switched to shopping at the Neiman Marcus instead since they have better availibilty and service.

This Nordstrom is the best one in Texas hands down! Every associate that I have talked to has been extremely helpful and kind. They do not act stuck up or unfriendly and are always willing to go above and beyond to help their customers. Nordstrom is already a phenomenal department store but the San Antonio location is really spectacular.

Whats not to love?!?! The shoe department is a slice of heaven! Service is impeccable... always! The cafe is yummy. The anniversary sales are awesome! And of course the private Christmas shopping events are amazing!
