So, being that I actually live IN Clarksville, I was so very surprised to find such a lovely hidden gem of a boutique, in our little town. Usually, to locate an establishment with such open mindedness and outfitted with the latest designer fashions, it would require me to travel to the greater city of Nashville. (Roughly an hour away, and a world of traffic, once you are "in" it.) I had a very in depth conversation with the store owner, and I found out, that her sole mission, whenever they established Wedding Belles, was to give EVERY customer the opportunity to feel beautiful, NO MATTER THE SIZE; on whatever occasion or special day, that you may have. I had been shopping for over a month now, to try and find the "perfect" dress, for a military ball. I had been to about 7 different formal wear stores, outside the city of Clarksville. While each store had its own unique charm, ALL of the previous boutiques, seemed to focus on having gorgeous gowns for sz 0-4. As one goes up in size, the less variety, and less detailed, the dresses seemed to become. (It was almost as if, women of a bigger build or frame, should all fit into one dress style category.) I found this very discomforting, bc although I do not consider myself a large woman, I was "blessed," with a proportionate amount of curves. Upon entering Wedding Belles, I realized, this was the ONLY boutique that I had actually felt comfortable with my average size; and what was even better, was that the owner had GORGEOUS designer name dresses, in ALL makes and sizes! This wasnt just for evening gowns either....bc I couldnt help but puruse the rooms of sparkles and lace. Wedding gowns, that would usually be for a sz 8, went up to sizes like 22, 24, ....and higher! There was even a room for designer short dresses, if you had a smaller scale event or perhaps homecoming, to attend. The owner herself, came and assisted me with proper fitting, and she was casual and pleasant to talk to, the entire time. Ive never been so surprised by such a unique formal boutique before. It looks nothing like what you would expect on the outside of the building, however, on the inside, it offers MORE THAN just beautiful bridal gowns and formal attire, it offers HOPE, to all those women who think that they have to "settle" for a dress, on their special day, because they arent the sz 0-4. I felt gorgeous, for the first time in a very very long time. It wasnt just because of the dress though, it was because of the unique and loving atmosphere, that was/is comprised within this beautiful boutique. Try this store, before you go running to Nashville, to pay for dresses that are priced up 200-300 MORE THAN what they should be....I really think everyone can find their beauty in this store! Thanks again to the owner who made sure to make an establishment where ANY woman, regardless of size, could find a dress to feel that beautiful feeling.

Unfortunately, my dress arriving over a MONTH LATE wasn’t even the worst part. I went to Wedding Belles mid-February for my bridesmaid dress for my friend’s wedding that is just a few days from now. The dresses were all beautiful and the staff members that we encountered that day were all friendly and helpful. I chose my dress and they assured me that it would be available for pickup early/mid-April—more than enough time for the wedding at the end of May. April rolled around…then mid-April…still no dress. They kept saying that it was an issue with the shipping department. My friend (the bride) also ordered her dress through them a few days prior to my order and hers wasn’t even in either. Call after call, excuse after excuse, delay after delay…it was “it should be here tomorrow” but wasn’t. Now, I understand that every business has hang-ups, rough patches, and bad days, but when those setbacks happen, they should respect their customers enough to tell them the truth and stop passing the blame and making excuses. Even worse than that was being made to feel like a nuisance or bother for being concerned about the order. A customer shouldn’t ever be made to feel like they’re an inconvenience just for inquiring about their already-paid-for order that is over a month late—and that’s how I felt (whether intentionally or not). My dress just came in today (May 21st)—and I didn’t even get a call saying as much. I had to find out from my friend who went to pick hers up. The wedding is in just a few days. If the dress doesn’t fit—there’s no time to get it altered now. I know that I’m ‘just a bridesmaid’ but for the bride… wedding planning is stressful enough without having to worry about your dress falling through. A bride shouldn’t ever have to make plans for a “back up dress” because she didn’t know if the one she bought would even be ready for pickup in time even though she had the company’s word that it would arrive with plenty of time to spare. I’d rate them even less than one star if it were an option. Not because of the quality of the dresses—they’re all beautiful. Not because of the attitude of the nice ladies who helped me pick out my dress…they were very helpful. But because I feel that whomever was in charge in this situation acted dishonestly—instead of being straightforward about the timeline and potential setbacks, they passed the blame and made up excuses. This is not a business that I would want to revisit or recommend…no matter how pretty their dresses may be. Maybe this will be a lesson for them regarding the treatment of their customers—I hope it will be, but I won’t ever find out because I’d rather spend money with a business that values honesty, integrity, and their customers instead of one that just cares about their bottom line.

Im glad to see that the brides to be have had good experience at this shop, but my friend and I have not. On our first experience to the store, Lisa, the owner, was fantastic. Ordered us dresses to come in to try on for our formal ball. Ever since that day the service has gone extremely downhill. I called every day for over a week trying to check on the status of our dresses. I stopped in several times, when we were told our dresses would be there, and they werent. The girls working just gave us an unsympathetic feeling sorry, maybe tomorrow. Sorry but thats a huge waste of my time and poor customer service. After a week after the date they were supposed to be here, I called and asked the girl to find out a delivery date. She said she would call me back by the next day. Never did. I called and left a message for the owner to please call me. No return call. And no idea on our dresses. Now I have to go hurry to find a dress elsewhere because they cannot seem to get their customer service together. Ive asked for return calls at least five times, to call each day when the dresses were to have arrived, to call for a status of where our dresses were, and a return call from the owner and nothing. Never one call from this company. I really wanted to see this company succeed, but if youre expecting a gown on time for something, be warned.
