I had the most wonderful experience here. After. Going to countless shops to find a wedding dress, and feeling in the way and pushed towards dresses I was not interested in, we stumbled upon petals and lace. Karen was AMAZING! I am a slightly bigger girl, so I knew going into this task it would be hard to find dresses in my size to try on ad most places didnt have above a size 10 in Stock. Not only did they have over 600 dresses in house by plenty in sizes well over what I needed. We didnt have an appointment as we found it just driving by but were still helped promptly and treated like we were royalty. Let me tell you, Karen knows her stuff! I wasnt sure what I wanted exactly, but Karen listened to the few things I was looking for in a dress and kept that in mind as well as using her obvious knowledge to pick me out dresses that Complimented my figure and fit perfectly. She kept bringing me dresses that I never would have picked off the rack and every time supposed me that she knew what looked good on me better than I did! I ended up finding the perfect dress that I never wouldve even tried on had she not helped. The whole process was so amazing, I couldnt believe finding a wedding dress could be so easy and affordable. I was so happy with the service and price that I ended up ordering my bridesmaids dresses through her also. This was also a great experience, her assistant was great in helping us find the perfect bridesmaids dresses while Karen was nearby if we had any questions while looking through the books and even offered to videochat with a bridesmaid of mine that lived out if state to make sure everything fit and was perfect. I would recommend anyone and anyone to go to petals and lace and talk to Karen, and i promise you will not be disappointed!

I happened upon Petals and Lace on a trip I took to Nashville in search of a wedding dress. I had a very particular image in my head of what I wanted, and in fact, I had been in search of a vintage dress. I kept finding it harder and harder to get anything in my price range and style ideal. Finally, we went into Petals and Lace. While I can see where the owner may come off as rude(as these other review suggest), she is actually EXTREMELY knowledgeable, GOOD AT HER JOB and is actually a sweetheart. I arrived at her store tired, down on my luck, and frustrated. Through her skilled questioning about what I did or didnt like about particular dresses, she was able to guide me to a dress from a magazine. Call me crazy, I ordered it: AND I LOVE IT. She was so skilled at listening to what it was I was looking for in my wedding dress, she was able to order this dress for me and alter it to what it was I was looking for! The dress I got ended up being prettier than the one I couldnt afford. I guess I havent even mentioned yet that I live on the other side of the country. I was in her shop on my visit to Nashville, and she took my measurements and all of the necessaries. She then did all of the modifications without me being local- based on what we had discussed. She literally worked a miracle. I am so lucky I found her. She is an incredible seamstress to say the very least. Thank You!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This store is a very unpleasant place to be. From the moment you walk in the entire store screams outdated and it smells of urine. The dresses are outdated, tacky, and just plain boring; very little selection for anyone over a size 6. Also, nothing has an order. Rather than it being arranged by size or designer, it is arranged by color which just makes the store look worse. The owner is extremely rude. She is not interested in a customer until she knows that they have money, so if you are on a budget, she does not care about your business. She is also extremely pushy and if you try on one dress she will push it on you until you feel obligated to buy it. She does not care if the customer is pleased, she just cares about getting a sale. She acts like she is the best in the dress industry of Nashville, yet she is selling out of a two story house that no one can find from the road. She is also extremely racist, because when I was in there I heard her refer to African Americans as "blacks" and that the only ones that are worth her time are the ones with money. So at the end of the day I hope no one considers going to this store. She is a rude, nasty old woman that has very little good in her heart. She doesnt deserve your money. I know I would rather die than go back in that store and deal with her again.

My sister came in town from Salt Lake City to find a dress here in Nashville, since she is getting married here and all of her family is here. We had 4 spots at different shops. Glitz provided the full Happy bridal experience then we came here and the owner was annoyed we were there it seemed. We found a dress but still had two other appointments the next day so we went to our other appts but my sister fell in love with a dress on the rack at Petals and Lace that is discontinued. The owner Karen had the worse attitude did not help us at all with pulling dresses and helping try them on and seemed annoyed with any questions we asked about the dress and repairs to it. She told us she looked over the dress all morning but when we arrived it was missing 4 button covers still. When we asked her about it she gave us a total attitude! She was the worse I hate that we had to buy a dress from her but my sister fell in love with it and it was the only dress like it on the 2 racks of dresses they had. I would not recommend anyone shopping there. This is suppose to be a great experience for the bride and her mom and sisters, but was totally an awful experience. Davids Bridal staff was better than she was! I would recommend Glitz in Bellevue if you want a great experience and a designer dress!

I have now bought three bridesmaids dresses from Petals and Lace. Last year, I bought a bridesmaids dress for my friends wedding then recommended this store to my future sister in law and friend who are getting married a week apart. I recommended this store solely on the price of the dress. However, I now regret recommending my loved ones this store. Karen is absolutely rude and has terrible customer service. She orders her associates around like they are second class citizens. My future sister in law bought her dress from Karen and wanted to add a flower detail. Karen told her to email a picture of what she wants and she could make it. She made something that looked nothing like the picture and sewed it on her dress without her seeing it or getting her permission. She then charged her for this! Karen also asked her if she was an emotional eater during one of her fittings. She waited weeks to ship dressesto out of town bridesmaids for my friends wedding. Karen has discussed with me while ordering my dresses her personal life of having to raise her two ADHD grandsons. While I emphathize with her situation, that is an inappropriate topic to discuss with a customer. Do not buy from here. Go somewhere that has better customer service because it is not here.
