Terrible customer service! I was looking for a certain brand and color of yarn (it had to be that exact kind). I saw online that this store not only carried it, but had 7 in stock. I raced over there to find only 2 skeins were in stock, and I needed 3 for my project. I asked 2 employees who were idly, and quite loudly, chit-chatting about things not work related if they could check in the back for this yarn. The one girl told me that she "had JUUUUST restocked". (Elongating the just like children do when you ask them to do something they dont want to do) I asked her if she could please just double check because online it said they had 7. The other girl in a very rude, loud authoritative voice said that what they have out is all there is and that online is just wrong. The two girls then turned there backs to me and continued on with there conversation. I interrupted there little chit chat again to ask them when they would be getting it in again, because telling me you dont have the product doesnt really fix the problem...it just tells me something I already know. The second girl literally ROLLED HER EYES AT ME, and told me "Monday if I could just wait the weekend they would have it in on Monday, but I wasnt guaranteed my yarn would be in the shipment." I asked them if they could please order it for me so I could guarantee my yarn would be there. They told me that they couldnt do that. I would have to order it online myself, but that would take about a week to get in. I was a little ticked by the rudeness of the girls, but I chopped it up to being late in the day and that they were young. I took my chances with waiting the weekend for Monday. I decided to call first just in case. The person who answered the phone told me they "didnt have the time to double check, but if I wanted to look online they have inventory of there store on there website". She then hung up before I could get in a word. I looked online and saw that the yarn I needed was indeed in stock, so I went over to the store. When I got there guess what? It wasnt there! I asked an employee if she could check in the back for me, because online it said they had it in stock and when I called I was referred to the website. She was the first nice employee I had spoken to there. She informed me in a polite manner that a new shipment had just been put on the shelves and that in another week they will be expecting another shipment. She told me I should try coming back in a week. Well I didnt really have a week so I just went to Michaels about a mile up the road and found what I was looking for. I wish had gone there in the first place. My last encounter was probably with the only nice employee they have. I will be doing all my craft shopping at Michaels for now on.

The only good thing about this store is that its relatively tidy and well-lit. I would not recommend this store to anyone. This store does not have a large sign pointing customers to the sewing notions, so I asked one of their associates, Amber, to tell me where the bobbins were. "I dont even know what that is," she said. "A bobbin?" I said. I thought maybe she just mis-heard me. "Yeah, I dont know," was my answer. She didnt offer to ask someone else, but she did point and say they were in the back of the store somewhere. Now even if she is new, I think this is inexcusable. It is just bad customer service to not offer to help in any way at all. Also, how can a sewing store hire someone who doesnt know what a bobbin is? The other employee helped me find a cotton knit, but was very brusque and unfriendly at the check-out. I will definitely go to Hancocks or somewhere else - never this store again.

Really the only chain fabric store left in Greenville. Selection is okay...not easy to find items in overfilled, overpacked, disorganized shelves and displays. Most of the staff does Not sew or craft and cant answer questions about how to use the fabric or craft item ... they are there strictly to sell you stuff! DONT ever use these restrooms ... I have never been in a worse ladies room!!! The stench was overwhelming! Paper on the floor, multiple airfresheners didnt help, no paper towels, overflowing And nonfunctional toilets. When I let the manager know - she just shrugged and said they were working on it. If possible, dont go to this location. The drive to Spartanburg is worth it for better selection, nicer staff, cleaner store!

Love this store, now that Hancocks is going out of business, I am shopping more and more at Jo Anns. My daughters even gave me a gift card from Jo Anns for Mothers Day. I love the fabric, cake decorating stuff, most of the employees have been nice to me. We all have to remind ourselves that dealing with the public isnt the easiest job. So if a customer service person isnt as nice as they should be to you, they may have several real hateful customers. Or they maybe having a bad day themselves. But overall I would say most of the employees are very helpful and caring.

Several colors of sashay yarn were marked down from $5.99 to $2.97 and $3.97, so I bought twice as much. At the counter it rang up full price, and the young cashier, bored, without checking, said, "somebody probably put it in the wrong place. thats why *I* usually put away the yarn." This place could use some cashiers with reading or people skills. I left all the yarn on the counter. Ill just go to Michaels.

Called in and experienced horrendous customer service from an older woman on the phone. She told me everyone was too busy to help me, so I asked politely if I could get a call back and she said no. Really disappointed in the lack of customer service. As a business owner, I would definitely want to be made aware of this!

Make sure if you go into this store you have a lot of time. You will hardly see more than one cashier and you will wait and wait and wait!. Most of the staff is unfriendly and doesnt like to go out of their way to help. Theres another craft store about a mile up the road that is much more accommodating.

Staff had no clue what I was talking about and all I was asking for was a bobbin for my older machine but they had no clue where to even tell me to look. I found them on my own and no, they dont carry any bobbins for a future machine .

I think staff is very friendly.! In fact I overheard the girl in fabrics talking to two different customers just last week and thought.."wow! What great customer service" Good sales. Good selection. I love this store.

I have always found the staff to be very helpful and nice. The selection is wonderful. My favorite crafting and sewing store for sure, and I shop at all of the local craft stores. Highly recommend.

I am going to school online for Fashion Design and I really love the selection here of cloth and project options. The staff is knowledgeable about most things.
