Purchased a computer from them for my business for my interns to use. ( 2008 Macbook 13 inch. with 1 gig of ram in it. ). I only needed the computer for internet browsing, emails, Microsoft Word, and other small tasks. I was told by the specialist that the computer would be fine just the way it is for what I was using it for. No upgrades were needed at the time. a week after I got my computer the battery blew out. It would die at 67% everytime. sometimes it would make it to 45% ( if I was lucky ). Also when I went to go watch a video, the whole screen would go white, not acceptable. They took it back, changed the battery and fixed it. then the battery went out again, and again. and a bunch of other problems. fast forward and Im 2 months past my warranty, but i havent been able to use my computer since day 1 and theyre giving me a hard time about trying to get my money back. How can my warranty be expired if the computer never worked in the first place. So here I am, another crappy battery and my computer has a stockpile of other problems, oh and my battery dies at 70% now, an all-time record. They have blocked my phone number after I threatened to send them to small claims court, and I cant sent them email either, you try and use your small business to support other small businesses but sometimes it doesnt work out. the owner Mr. Wegener is a class-A scammer, Hell give you the run around and I think he hated me because I knew what I was talking about when he tried to play me countless times, and at the same time, Ive gotten them countless sales from family, friends, and other companies looking to save money on "refurbished" macs. Im honestly not mad over the computer or anything, its only $250 that I spent, the problem is, now I have to find another store to buy macs from and My company is growing and you cant trust these guys. Oh well...

Purchased a refurbished MacBookPro wall charger from them on February 24, 2015. By the first week of July 2015, the charger was failing - would not charge my laptop, sending error messages, charger would only work when plugged into the wall/computer. I tried messing with the charger, twisting it to get a signal. I was in the middle of important work for school and on a deadline--tried to get whatever time out of the charger i could. Took it in to Wegener, they indicated that the charger was "Bad" and the wires inside were "so frayed," that I should be more careful.!!!!!! So basically, they acted like it was my fault. When Ive had the same MacBook Pro since 2011. While Ive had wall chargers fail, never EVER have I had one fail within 6 months of purchase. They said that my "warranty" had expired a month and a half ago (convenient, right?) and they could offer me another REFURB wall charger for $30!!!! I am a student on a strict budget and if I purchase another wall charger that they refurbished and it dies in about 4 months, as this one did, Ill be out $30 this time, then however much they charge 4 months from now--within a year they could get $200 out of me. Be wary of purchasing their refurbished products. Be ware they may blame you when the product fails. Be ware the product may fail "just past the warranty." Ive used Wegener several times in the past, and they are usually fair. I even have a relative who *was* considering buying a "refurbished" desktop from them. Just be ware.

Wegener Media does not do what they promise. I took my computer in there and they said theyd have a diagnosis in 2-3 days. After calling them repeatedly, I got my diagnosis after 8 days. They then said that they could have the parts ordered in a couple days, then a few days to repair it (~5-6 days). After 11 days, the technician was still working on it. I understand that they may be busy but dont tell me its going to be repaired so soon when its not. That is just bad customer service. After 15 days, I got the MAC back. It didnt work. I asked Wegener Media if they could send a technician onsite because I was tired of driving back and forth with it and they told me "we only do that on special occasions". I feel like after having my computer for a month, I was a special occasion. So I took my computer back (this was not my choice-it was my bosss). I am writing this review as I sit on hold with Wegener Media. Theyve had the computer for almost a week-the 2nd time. This is absurd. I will never use them again, ever. I do not recommend Wegener Media to anyone.

Absolutely amazing customer service! I took my computer in about 4:30 Monday afternoon and picked it up before noon the next day. The staff is very helpful and informative. They upgraded my computer, which I thought was already great, and made it one of the fastest machines I have ever seen. I will come back here every single time I have an issue with my Mac or just a question. They took the time to explain to me everything that I needed or wanted to know and helped me make an informed decision for myself. There was no pressuring salesmen, and I really liked that. Price point was very affordable and worth every penny.

I took my daughters MacBook Pro in at 5:30 today. I tried to replace the hard drive but it was corrupted. She is leaving for college tomorrow. I thought it would be 3 days. They called me at home tonight at 8:00 p.m. to let me know what was wrong and to say it would be fixed by tomorrow, saving me a trip to Greenville. They are unbelievable with their excellent service and quality of repair. This is the third Mac they have repaired for my family. These are some of the most honest and hardworking people I have ever done business with anywhere.

I know from first hand experience that the review made by CW is completely accurate. I used to work there and they took quite a while to complete repairs and then a lot of times they still would not work and would have to be sent back again. When customers would call to check on the status of their repairs we would be told to tell them the technician was still working on it when in fact there were several times that they hadnt even started on it yet. Would not recommend!!!

This guy scammed me on a G4 upgrade card on an old Pismo. Yes, it was that long ago, and yes, I still remember. Sent it to me over in Germany, it never worked, I sent it back, and he shrugged his shoulders and said "What do you want me to do about it?" He eventually blew me off by saying my purchase would be credited to my card (I didnt pay by card) and never heard from him again. I see from other posts his MO hasnt changed. Avoid this jerk!

I have gotten 5 macs over the years from this company and have always found them to be very reasonably priced and dependable. When something occasionally was not right they have repaired it during the warranty period and have overall been a delight to work with!
