My experience with Computer Fixers was AMAZING!!!!! I went with this company after calling several other computer repair shops in the Charlotte area. My laptop was running slowly, had an outdated operating system and was plagued with viruses. I was considering purchasing a new device, but really loved my laptop and wanted to save it, if at all possible. My first contact with Computer Fixers was by phone, where I spoke with William, who was very professional and courteous! He took the time to answer all my questions and gave me my options along with a quote over the phone. This initial interaction with William was by far the most personal and professional conversation Id had on the phone with any repair shop. I brought my computer in for repair, they processed my job quickly and within hours they were giving me, a courtesy call along with an email, letting me know my device was ready! Upon arriving to pick up my computer, I discovered through a mis-communication between William and I, they had actually installed the wrong operating system. No worries, this issue was resolved IMMEDIATELY!! The owner/operator of Computer Fixers, Chris, just so happen to be on location, he instantly moved to correct the issue, which again was really a mis-communication between William and I, something Chris had nothing to do with. He re-submitted my device, and loaded the correct operating system, even threw in Microsoft Office, & re-did my hard drive, something that wasnt in my original contract. I was so overwhelmed, I was almost in tears, as I really needed office but was planning on doing that later, and the hard drive deal wasnt even on my radar! I NEVER expected such amazing customer service! Chris really went ABOVE and BEYOND!! I work full time and also attend college, so my finances & time are extremely limited, this was truly a blessing!!! To top things off, He even offered to deliver the computer to my house when he was finished! Sure enough, a few hours later, he was at my door with a charming smile and my completely revised laptop! I am totally satisfied with my computer now its running better than ever. I absolutely 200%!!! recommend this company to anyone whos looking for great reliable service on any of their electronic devices!

As a returning customer, I have to be honest with my recent experience with the store. I finally took my laptop in to have my frame serviced as it was dropped two years ago. The hinge was broken and it wouldnt support the screen. They did a great job with the frame, however when I turned on my computer, after leaving the store my screen was damaged. It was red. I brought it back to the store and like every business they do their best to never admit fault. They were telling me that my screen was damaged before it was placed in their hands. My screen wasnt broken otherwise I wouldve requested to have it serviced as well. It was functioning properly for the two years the frame was broken. No cracks nothing. I complained to the owner, Chris about the situation. I wish I couldve recorded the phone call to add more credibility. During the phone call he said it was broken prior to them servicing my frame, and when his technician moved it to the new frame the screen began showing red spots. Let me emphasize "when his technician moved it to the new frame...". As I said it was working fine until his technician moved it to the new frame. Like every other business they want money, which came as a surprise because theyre a small local business. I was under the impression it was about customer service. They have lost my trust as a consumer. Let me explain why I am a returning customer, this is an add on from the original post above. I dont want my experience to get misconstrued as how they normally operate. As soon a Chris, the owner read my review, he gave me a call and went into great detail of everything that went on with my computer even more than the first call. He was very sincere. Even though Im still skeptical, I can honestly say without a doubt that they do an AMAZING job that is really and truly unparalled in their industry. You can see the evident transition in my experience, he recognized my opinion and made me feel valued all within 45 minutes, from when I posted the top paragraph and now this current one. Again dont let my experience prevent you from giving your computer a great experience.

DO NOT trust this company or bring anything to them for repairs! *in reply to owners response.... This laptop was NEVER dropped. One hinge was worn out from use. The fan needed cleaning. The laptop keys worked fine when I dropped it off, and was told by Chris the tech that they worked fine when they were finished. I was also told that they performed a system booster which they would need a keyboard to do. When I got it home I wasnt even able to log on because the 4 keys and the Touch ID sensors are now broken. Theyve lied several times about what happened and are refusing to fix what they broke. Of course I refused to pay to have them repair what is their fault. I have filed a claim with the BBB and NCAG office and suggest anyone else who has had problems with them do the same. * DO NOT bring anything to them for repairs! I brought my daughters laptop to them for repair of a broken hinge and fan. When I returned home with the laptop, not only is the hinge still not right, the keyboard is broken along with the fingerprint log-in. I took the computer back to the store, and never heard back from anyone. I called 2 days later and was told someone would call me back in a few minutes. No one did. I called again 2 more days later and was told that the computer was never opened, therefore the broken keyboard wasnt their fault and the keyboard worked when it left the store. I was also told that a free systems booster was done, a service free for students. When I reminded them that the laptop mustve been opened If they repaired the fan, they just stumbled and said (yelled) that it wasnt their problem. Also, to preform a systems booster, they mustve used the keyboard. Again I was told that it wasnt their problem. Theyve refused to fix what theyve broken. And now my daughter cant even use her laptop at all. Dont bother asking to speak with a manager. I was told (yelled at) by the tech on the phone that he was the manager of both stores, and there was no one to help me. Basically I was lied to, yelled at, and paid to bring home a laptop that is now completely not functional.

My experience here was excellent! I had never looked into repairing any laptop until now, so I was new to all of this. I had a nasty virus on my Lenovo laptop and kept putting off repairing it. I finally did some research and found The Best Computer Fixers and felt confident in their many good reviews. The location was a little tricky to find at first (perhaps another sign on Commonwealth or Thomas may help for first-timers). Justin briefed me with the process and what they offered. I dropped the computer off on a Wednesday. On Thursday, I spoke to Chris, the owner for almost 20 minutes! He let me know that the scan did detect a nasty virus and that they would proceed with the hard drive cleaning and other tasks with my permission. Chris answered all of my questions with great respect and detail. When I asked about downgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 7, he said it may be tricky with my model of laptop because of a locked hard drive, but he said it was possible and that he would get it done. My laptop was ready on Friday. I spent $200 to have my computer scanned for viruses, hard drive completely wiped clean, data backed up safely, OS downgraded to Windows 7 Home Professional, Avast! free anti-virus software installed (which in the past week, Ive found to be very helpful, safe, and easy to use and update), and excellent customer service. While $200 was expensive for me as a college student, it was well worth it. I planned to fix my laptop so that I could honorably sell it for about $500 and then proceed to buy a new $700-800 laptop for school. Chris assured me that the computer I had was more than what I needed for school and that their repairs would save me the trouble of selling the laptop and buying a new one. He was right! My laptop is working perfectly and my stress is greatly reduced. Since this is a small local business, I am confident that they can answer any of my questions if I were to call them in the future. Thank you Chris and everyone at The Best Computer Fixers!
