Went to make a purchase and upon going to checkout was advised by the clerk "oh, I havent had a chance to reprice those yet so the price on the book is not correct." The price went from $24 to $75 because its out of print, yet a stack remains on the shelf for $24. The counter is not the place for the price change, the shelf is. Ill stick with Mr. Ks where the price is clearly marked on the shelf and doesnt change at checkout.

BBB has a really neat book selection, and the people who work there are really helpful and friendly. The only reason I leave off a star is because I just really miss its old look with the exposed wooden beam ceilings. I feel like it gave it a cozy but adventurous type feeling, like you never knew what you may find on the shelves. But it is still very nice inside, just a little bit more formal.

This is a nice store with a very friendly staff. The store has a nice range of literature including quite a bit of nonfiction. The location is fabulous and the store has a network of rooms to explore. This is not a source for pulp fiction, so if youre looking for sci-fi or mystery or such, you probably will want to look elsewhere.

If you are walking around Marion Square in Charleston you owe it to yourself to immerse in the magic of this timeless used book store. Complete the feeling of the old world and the new one meshing together by getting a vintage print of some obscure treatise on the natural discoveries of the east coast from the 18th century.

One could spend hours in this place (and I would have, if I were traveling alone). The selections are delightful, the decoration is beautiful, and the staff are wonderful. BBB is the best shop I wandered into in Charleston, and I will always recommend it to friends who visit the Holy City. -NG

It is hard to find a good used book store but this is definitely one! Great overall selection with good prices. I Was looking for a specific history by Stephen Ambrose, walked in and there it was! Friendly staff.

Awesome local used book store in downtown Charleston. Fun to browse and see what new books you find. Even have rare books on hand. Its lots of fun to swing in and see what you find.
