This used to be a great place to go read and shop for books. I went in here last week, and was surprised to find they took out all the couch and comfy chairs. There were some hard wood chairs scattered about, but thats about it. I realize having people read books at a book store is counter productive, so I cant fault them too much for that. However, this B&N, and Im assuming most of them now, has become a toy store with books. There are several full-on toy sections that take up a good 1/3 of the store. Kind of hard to get kids excited about reading when the whole middle of the store at this point is filled with literally hundreds of toys. I thought there were a lot before, but now, its insane. If you need an overpriced toy for a gift, then I suppose this would be ideal, but I noticed several book sections were also smaller, including the art books section.

I applied at both barnes and noble in Roanoke VA for the 15 years Ive been here Ive been descriminated with both employers I use to work for bn in New Haven CT and they were not this unethical my career stop when I left CT they are extremely discriminatory I applied and bn said I didnt have enough experience lmbao..

Fantastic selection of books that are well organized in the beautiful store with exceptional customer service. I love how it is always on the quieter side, and the starbucks is a great plus. This barnes and noble is my regular hangout when I am not at home, five stars.

My son decided he didnt want the book he chose AND lost his receipt on our way to the car. When I returned to exchange the book the woman helping us was SO nice. She rang up the new book and refunded the difference without a hitch.

When I shop here, Im in the store for over an hour. I would be able to stay longer - and spend more $ if there were a few comfy chairs spread around the store. The staff are so kind, helpful and knowledgeable!

Great place to meet a friend who needed help finding the right resource book to help him prepare for taking Praxis test. We were able to sit on cafe area and discuss future related needs.

Another average Barnes and Noble, but the staff at both the register and café were nice. This one doesnt seem to be quite as busy as the one at Valley View.
