I love this store. I think back fondly of the many nights I spent in the Cafe during my college years, huddled over my white Macbook and burning my tongue on a latte. Whenever my laptop reprimanded me for driving it down to the dregs of its power reserve, I quietly edged myself into the crowd of young people concentrated around the power strip. Patiently, I watched and waited until someone left and I could claim my very own Outlet of Life. Those were the days: the days of need, of greed, and of victory at the cost of some poor souls Economics paper. But today, none of that is possible because that power strip is gone. Nowhere to be seen. And everyone knows that plug next to the ramp is dead. So what are we to do, O Barnes and Noble Cafe? We kept you business with our procrastination-induced caffeine habits, and now this? Think of the wretch whose laptop is down to five percent with a deadline of ten p.m. You laugh at us as if we should be satisfied with our tiny cups of free water and overpriced spicy brownies. But I tell you, even though we will still crowd at your doors with the ten oclock sun and stay till you kick us out, there will be a statistically significant difference in our happiness levels. Just bring back the plug.

I dont go here much anymore. Its usually crowded, especially on weekends, and Ive had employees be very rude to me for no reason. I used to like to sit here and read, but every time I am there no matter the time of day, theres always a little kid screaming its head off for ten minutes. I dont understand why parents think its appropriate to bring their children here and then let them cry and scream and let them disturb other customers, and not do anything about it. I was once sitting in the cafe and a woman was there reading a magazine, and her very young (2-3 years old) child was jumping up and down on a chair, and she was completely ignoring it. Well, of course the kid fell and cracked its head on the table, which led to a bunch of crying and screaming and yelling. I ended up leaving, I couldnt focus on what I was reading. That type of thing seems to be a relatively normal occurrence. But if you can go when its quiet and there arent many families with young children (best time is before noon during the week), it can be a nice place to sit and read with a cup of tea.

This is a fabulous store....the people running a store make all the difference in the world...and the staff at this store are top notch! Received outstanding support and help with my new Nook today....and I am having a wonderful experience with it.... The store is stocked with all sorts of items that are not easily found elsewhere and the reading area and café are also superb....throw in some delightful classical music on top of that and you have a good recipe for a very nice experience....Enjoy!

A great bookstore with a wonderful cafe. There are plenty of tasty treats and snacks to go with a tea or a coffee. This shop offers free wifi, so you can bring your device and use it. The store has quite a lot of satisfying books. Famous pre-teen hits like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Big Nate are my favorite comical best-sellers here. The only thing here that isnt so good is that at the cafe, you cannot use Starbucks Rewards for Starbucks products. All in all, a great bookstore!

Arlene was awesome! It was ten minutes to close and I had just gotten off of work. I really needed a specific vinyl record that might be out of stock. She looked it up for me, showed me where it was, wrapped it, and was so sweet the entire time (even though it was super late)! I used this record as a corny way to ask out the girl of my dreams and she said yes! Thanks for listening and helping me out before I did this Arlene! Love this book store and location.

Its fine for what it is. Its not much different from any other B&N. The store loses a couple stars because Im tired of seeing (every) B&N continuing to increase the amount of floorspace given to toys. Its frustrating to take your kid to storytime and to get a book, but theyre drawn to all the toy displays instead. If I wanted to go to a toy store, I would go to a toy store. Lets keep the focus on books, please.

The B&N experience is excellent at most of their stores, but the service staff at this particular outlet is exceptional. They are willingly helpful and very friendly. Each of them seems to act as though the business were their own, and they treat their customers accordingly. This is especially surprising, because they are the only big game in town since Borders closed down. A real pleasure to shop there.

5 people deep at 11:39 on a Sunday just for a newspaper. Cant find a newspaper in the news section.I asked where they are, she says, behind the counter. Of course, thats where the Sunday paper is behind the counter. How stupid of me to think it would b in the newspaper section. So no, Im not waiting on one line with 5 people buying books to get a Sunday paper. You will be closed soon to just like boarders.

This is one of my favorite Barnes & Noble stores. They have a great selection of books, puzzles, games and gifts for any age. I also love the Starbucks cafe in the back of the store that is great for studying, reading or meeting friends with plenty of seating. The layout of the store is great for casual browsing and not getting run over while shopping.

I really miss the big comfy chairs... yes I know its not a library, but it made a fine place to hang out on friday nights and if I loiter that long, you know Im going to buy SOMETHING. As is, I tend to go in, look around and add stuff to my amazon cart... I think Im a bad person :( Ill miss you when youre gone B&N

They have clean restrooms, a water fountain, lots of room to work or study AND there is an amazing starbucks staff as well. There is a wide variety of books and accessories for book lovers! Its one of my favorite public places to go study in greensboro.

One of my favorite place to go to just relax and get some coursework done. I was a bit disappointed to find that there were no power outlets in the cafe area, so make sure your gadgets are aptly charged. The Starbucks batistas are quick and kind.

Love B&N @ Friendly. The best ambience, the best cafe and the service in the cafe is awesome! A nice place to spend the evenings drinking coffee and reading a book. Glad that we have one such place here in GSO for all of us to enjoy. Thx

Its still fun to go into a large bookstore. This one has a Starbucks cafe. I love the hodgepodge of things they sell. Always something interesting to find. The bathrooms could be kept a little cleaner and in better overall shape.

What is not to love about books and Starbucks?! They also have a TON of art supplies (sketchbooks, microliner pens, brush markers, etc) a huge train set for the littles. The staff is extremely helpful as well. Love it.
