I took my new rescue to training here, her name is Kaydance. Kaydance was very hyper and crazy adult Pitbull and desperately needed training or I was going to have to take her back to the Humane Society. She would jump on people, not listen, go after our cats, and chase other animals. I was becoming very upset I would have to take her back, because I did love her and who wants to be that person. So I took her to Petco for training with Sara. Starting out did not go well at all, Kay was too crazy to even give anyone a thought. Sara kept encouraging us to keep working and we ended up switching her class to a less busy day. Switching the class helped greatly and Sara worked hard as did we at home with her. Sara never made us feel stupid or wrong and she explained things as many times as we needed. She would listen to what we said and come up with ways to do things better or correct behaviors. I am proud to say Kaydance graduated basic training class yesterday thanks to Sara! Kay is not quite ready to take the advanced class with other dogs (she will be with a bit more work), but thanks to Sara Kay now listens, gets along with other animals, does so many other commands. She is a totally different dog. Sara told us we were great pup parents since we did put effort in at home and how much to took to work with Kay, but honestly if it was not for her encouraging us along the way I am sad to say I am not sure it would have worked out. Kay and I were able to finally build a bond and she is an amazing dog who listens and is good with people, children, and other animals. Also, all the staff was very helpful and nice every time we went. I would recommend this Petco and Sara to anyone! Thanks Sara!

The one star is due to a completely ludicrous follow up visit after setting up a new aquarium. On our first visit, Brandon was extremely polite, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He even helped us save a couple of bucks by pointing out a sale on a larger tank. The follow up visit was just extremely disappointing. Brandon was helping another customer and some twit without a name tag on was also in the fish section. He contaminated the test strip with tap water from his wet hands then chastised me about the water despite it being a new tank, and with ALL MEASURED COMPOUNDS IN THE SAFE RANGE. I pointed this out, and that I work in water filtration, and his response was "well I mean, if you WANT to kill the fish". I was literally floored by his unprofessionalism, and poor customer service. He did not retest my sample, and instead dumped it out. Thats the point I walked away calmly before making a scene. He then yelled across the store "THERES NOTHING STOPPING YOU FROM BUYING THEM BUD". I was significantly older than this nitwit and did not appreciate being referred to as "bud" when actively trying to shop at this store. Between the improper contaminated test, condescending "know it all" tone and yelling inappropriately as I walked away to shop elsewhere, I will no longer shop at this store.

DO NOT bring your dog to get groomed here. We brought our bulldog and when we got him back I ran a wipe through his wrinkles on his face to see how they did and brownish/black goo was all over. They literally did not even touch his wrinkles. The next day he was scratching his ears and guess what they never touched inside there either. So much for spending $50 for NOTHING...

It is a nice place to get pet supplies, but *please* if you go there or any Petco to purchase a new family member... make sure you do your research first. Do not rely on the employees to know everything. Before you get any animal anywhere actually... do your research!

Found a betta stuck to the side of one of the containers you can tell its been there for awhile so thanks for making my kids cry then again this wasnt a suprise to me cause i always see atleast 9 dead fish every visit and when u say something u get attitude

We take our dog here for dog training and buy most of our pet supplies from this store and have never had any issues. The staff is friendly and the classes are extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend this store.

I bought anenomes for my clowns the girl said theyd be great for them. Found out the anenomes I bought eat clowns and dont bond with them. Now I could lose my expensive fish I had for years....stuck with anenomes!!

Good service. Little more expensive but overall a really good value. The woman who takes care of the reptiles is very knowledgeable. Best looking and kept reptiles Ive seen in a long time.
