Customer Service is terrible! I just started a fish tank and did a lot of research at home. I asked for help but the one employee couldnt help. All she did was read off of the back of every item I asked about. Then I went back to add fish to the new tank and another employee told me not to get the fish I wanted. Basically said I had no idea what I was doing and literally would not let me get 3 black mollies to start my aquarium. She said it was good to start small. I wanted black mollies but I went home with tetras which I did not want but I listened to her advice. A few days later, after bringing back two dead tetras, I wanted a few more fish to add to my 20 gallon tank. Another employee asked me 21 questions. It was very uncomfortable and he was not friendly. All I wanted was 3 guppies! After being interrogated, he seemed to approve of my decision and gave me the fish and walked away without a word. I do not understand how their employees have no knowledge or interrogate a customer. I will not be returning. I have no intention of being treated like an idiot.

I bought fish from here, I ask for four red rose minnows and two comet gold fish. So the guy waiting on grabs them I asked is those red rose minnows he said yes as he was bagging them he asked is was these feeding fish I said what you mean he said was I feeding them to another animal I told him no. My friend said one look like it was already dying they said no it wasnt. When I got home the one already died. So mad. But I didnt think I had red rose minnows so I looked it up indeed it wasnt in my fish tank. All goldfish. So I did everything to do to care for a care of a fish more died. So its only been a two day so out of six I have one, so I called Petco to tell them my situation and I ask to speak to the manager so the rep said the manager decided not to come to the phone. So bad customer service...

I had my dog groomed there several times. Sometimes Im so impressed that I happily pay the charge and leave a tip. Other times Im so ticked off by the result I vow never to return. So they did a great job shaving my dog down for the summer, although Im still unsure why he needed a de-shedding procedure. The next time I came in just for foot trimming and it was aweful. His paws were horribly done. Since my dog is so old, I cant subject him to the stress of all day grooming. Well Ill probably go back because they are conveniently located, Ill take my chance on the result. If you go, dont let them fast talk you, make sure you know exactly what you want, be accurate in what say you want done.

This place is okay. The store is large so they have a large selection of items/treats/food/whatever. The animals seem happy (e.g., tanks are clean and well-lit and reasonably "natural"). The employees are mediocre though and for the most part qualified to only run the cash register. Animal advice would be hit and miss from them. Also the PetCo card you can sign up for is mostly useless. If you buy insects (like crickets) from them, be sure to count the insects before you pay. Ive been shortchanged before. When I went back and complained, they did give me the missing crickets without much of a fight.

Took our two little dogs there for bathing and nails trimmed. When we returned 2 and a half hours later, our dogs were put into cages were they clawed to get out and split their nails. We were told that they must not like being in a cage, but they are cage trained, and never have problems at home. They didnt try to say sorry or make it up to us. We had to call corporate to get any satisfaction! I will never go there again. If you love your pet, dont ever take them there!

Petco can be a little annoying since it feels like such a big warehouse. You dont quite get the same feeling you do when you go to a neighborhood pet store. Still theyve got lots of stuff and services there so it might have what you need pet-wise.

Greeted friendly every time I take my dog to get groomed and love the way they cut his hair! I took him to two other grooming places and they needed social skills and did a terrible job so went back to Petco and been with them for four years.

Decent selection. Prices are very high. They will price match their own website though and many things are much cheaper online so definitely check the prices.

The variety of doggy treats and toys is consistently excellent. Its also fun to take the dog in the store, so she can pick out toys.

Many Petcos always seem a little depressing, but this especially. Try to get your pets and supplies elsewhere.
