I was just there at the Upper Darby True Value Hardware store today to get some duplicate keys cut for my house and the sales attendant clerk treated me with courtesy and fast service. I had some questions regarding a plumbing issue at my house and they helped me out with the advise and information I needed to prepare for the plumbing job. I would recommend this store to a friend if they needed a reliable hardware store in the neighborhood instead of driving all the way to Baltimore Pike to get to the Home Depo which is a drive and the amount of gas you would save if you shopped in your local neighborhood would be a good idea and a worth while walk to this store if you need hardware.

The guy behind the counter actually tried to rush me out of the store with rude comments about his being there all day, and even tried to start a fight with me after I left the store. Its the last thing I expected from a place that Ive been shopping at for over 20 years. Its a job, youre getting paid. No need to rush someone out of the store with a pushy attitude. You are the only loser in that kind of situation. I have been shopping at this store since I was old enough to enter it without one of my parents. I will never spend any of my hard earned money there again and I suggest no one else does either. My advice? Take the time to drive to another local hardware store.

Traveling Baltimore Pike is such a headache. I dont really see the worth in traveling it to get to Home Depot when this home-town hardware store always has what I need. Considering the extra time and gas it doesnt take to get here I gladly spend the extra quarter on some items. The staff and how they run this store is what makes it.

I love small hardware stores like this that despite their size contain everything you need. We went there for wood filler and glazing and saw that they cut replacement glass for windows. They were done before we had finished picking out our other items. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, too.

The people who own the place live locally and know the construction details of all the houses in the area. They can set you up with almost anything you need, even the hard to find stuff like 1920s 2" actual oak floor boards.

Incredibly well run small hardware store. Well stocked, reasonable prices, exceptional staff. They offer great advice and I always left with what I needed. If 6 out of 5 stars was an option, Id give it 6.
