1. Superlative Flavor - Finest espresso, brightest coffees, and creamiest almond milk base. 2. Superlative Taste - in wall art exhibited, in pastries selected, in chocolate truffles offered. 3. Thoroughgoing Civic Vision - Owners host local pop up shops, cater local events, patron local artists, and small wonder, house a diverse mix of clientele. 4. Models of Professionalism - The ethic of this small business is reflected in its personnel, who behave like co-owners, never as subordinated employees. Behind the counter, each barista distinguishes his or herself as a detail-oriented artisan and as a delightful interlocutor. But no idle hands here; and so, in idler moments, tables are shined, windows cleaned, cups washed, labels written, beans weighed, and formulae dialed. The devils work is made here never. In sum, Bloomfields storied past reiterated, and better, by a generation who has found the joy of excellent work. It must be mentioned: everyone here looks like theyve walked out of a set of a Wes Anderson movie. Namaste, Constellation!

I cant even tell you how much I love this place. I usually have a few hours of work to do weekends, and I like to do it at a coffee shop so it feels less like work. Went to Constellation for the first time yesterday and its perfect. Unlike, frustratingly, every other coffee shop in the East End, the tables are large enough to work effectively at, it wasnt jammed to the point you feel like cattle, the people working there were friendly and the espresso was good. Somebody was playing violin in the back. The bathroom mirror is a series of hexagons. They have an actual power strip so there are enough outlets for everybody (how has nobody else bothered to do this before??). The wi-fi is fast. This place is the bomb. The only problem is theyre closed Sundays, otherwise Id be there now. Shut up and take my money Constellation!

We stumbled across this shop while on a road trip on our way home to Toronto. Im always nervous to go to a new coffee shop, since i have pretty high coffee expectations. I was pleasantly surprised to find Constellation! Best coffee we had during our trip. The staff were very friendly (unlike a lot of independent shops in Toronto where we live) and the coffee was absolutely delicious. Kept us fuelled for our 5 hour drive after our Pittsburgh pit-stop. I love the cute little board where you could buy someone a coffee and leave a note for them to find! I want the shop i go to at home to do that. If im ever in Pittsburgh again, ill be sure to come back!

I am from Oklahoma City and was visiting my sister in Pittsburgh over Memorial Day Weekend. Luckily Constellation was only an 8 minute walk from our AirBnb. We loved going to this shop during our short stay. All of the employees were very kind and helpful and all of the drinks we ordered were great. We ordered two of their pourovers, an iced Mocha, a cold brew and a couple of Cortados and they were all excellent. The selection of pastries were small, but all delicious. We had a snickerdoodle donut and a cherry vanilla scone and I absolutely do not regret either choice. If I were to go back I would also get one of their ball caps because I love their logo!

Ive sampled coffee in and around Lawrenceville, but Constellation has become my local haunt. The high ceiling and clean white walls allow natural light to permeate the space, making for a bright, open environment that is great for meeting up with friends or enjoying a book. The coffee, however, is what brings me back. There is precision, but no pretense among the staff when it comes to crafting drinks. I favor the house coffee and a bar of dark chocolate (try the Madagascar 75%), but be sure to sample a pour over as well. Great flavor across the board!

Constellation without a doubt makes the best coffee in the city! I have visited regularly since I moved to this side of town, and I swear I take everybody I know. The owner is absolutely a delight, and all the baristas she hires are wonderful. The espresso is magic, the drip coffee delicious, and the selection of pastries and treats is always great. The shop itself is gorgeous, clean, and an incredibly comfortable place to work or chat -- and often filled with awesome art! Im so glad to live nearby.

Woah, best pour over Ive had in awhile and Ive been visiting every coffee shop in Pittsburgh this summer. The baristas here are super dialed in and really put in the hard work to make sure every aspect of the coffee is at its best. The customer service is top notch too but in terms of coffee quality this shop is among the best. Edit: They just installed a water filtration system that mimics the mineral content (and hence extraction and taste) of their two roasters. These guys kick ass. Go here.

its hard to describe why this place is so great, because its assets vary depending on the time of day: beautiful morning light, minimal decor, busy afternoons where you see everyone you know, owners and baristas who give you genuine attention, and comfortable chairs. oh, and excellent music. i fell in love when i walked in and there was j dilla playing, matched with a no-frills menu and the best regular cup of black coffee ive found in pittsburgh. just come here and give them your money.

Editing this review: it was an employees personal views, not the views or actions of the business. The manager and owner reached out to clear up everything. I really appreciate them reaching out and they still have a great cappuccino! "Was refused service for wearing a "Make America Great" cap. Why wouldnt you want to make America great? I hope you are never treated or feel the way I did. I hope you get behind, benefit and prosper with your new POTUS.

Ive thoroughly enjoyed my visits to Constellation. They serve some of the best coffee in Pittsburgh with Ceremony Coffee Roasters based in Annapolis, MD. Theyve also done a great job with the look and feel of the shop, with many small rounded tables and a back room to sit down and work. There very friendly and know how to run a proper coffee shop!

I love unique coffee shop with good atmospheres, and this is certainly that. The décor is cute and inviting, begging you to sit down and enjoy your drink for a while. They also have simple board games such as chess for people looking to relax with family or friends. The coffee is simple but quality, and their tea list looks delicious.

Ive been going to this cute shop on and off over the past couple years, and it has managed to maintain a good, intriguing environment. Whether youre looking to read a book quietly, chat with a friend, or get some work done, constellation coffee manages to make it possible to do any of these tasks in a laid back environment.

This is the perfect place. Wonderful people, great space, amazing product. The natural light here [even on an overcast day like today] is incredible. The drink I had (cortado) was expertly prepared, and had the exact flavor-profile promised (almond-buttery). LOVE this place.

Okay, Ive had their coffee (or covfefe?), but I also really dig their teas. Minimalistic in design and seating. Not much for full on lunch eating headquarters, but all in all they seem to keep the air conditioning at a pretty good temperature.
