*WARNING, YOU CANNOT RETURN BATTERIES AT RADIOSHACK ANYMORE* I am so disappointed with how incompetent RadioShack has become. I used to be a sales associate and assistant manager for 2 years while I was in college. I had plenty of customers who came in and would return a battery because it wasnt the right one. I would gladly return it or let them exchange it for something else. When I left the company was in the process of closing down thousands of stores nationwide. Fast forward to October, 2016 and I have my career job in Philadelphia. My key fob wont unlock my work car in the morning so I use my personal car to drive to RadioShack and get a battery for the key fob. I go back to my work car and the key fob still doesnt unlock the car. Roadside Assistance came out an told me that my battery died. I tried to return the battery at another store and the associate told me that I could not return the battery. I was confused because I had the receipt. I asked if I could get store credit. The sales associate said that RadioShack has changed their return policy. You cannot return batteries anymore. He told me that the associates have to make that clear when they sell batteries. Well guess what? The sales associate at the Chestnut St RadioShack did not tell me that I could not return this battery. I will never do business with RadioShack ever again. They have lost me as a customer for life.

Like most Radio Shacks the place is chock full of the latest technology and theres nothing wrong with that - thats why they exist. The thing thats always gotten me about RS though is that they want to sell you extended warranties. These are (relative to value) pricey things that just suck money out of the consumers pocket. They justify (if you dont buy them) a policy of all risk inuring to the purchaser, whereas in a reasonable world a vendor of products owns some risk because they have chosen that product to being to the market. In a reasonable world if you sell me a bad apple I can return it because its bad, not only if I bought the apple imperfection guarantee waiver. This one policy is so objectionable that Ill only shop there if I need x or y right now - and the funny thing is, last year I was in that situation so I bought a power cord for my laptop - and no extra warranty - and just now, less than a year, it fails and they lecture me about how I should have bought the warranty. Thats cynical bs, if you ask me, bringy crappy products to the market and then getting the customer to pay extra if they want if for sure to work. The lady at the counter actually told me I should go and join the Occupy protesters if I wanted to be heard. A very predictable but unsatisfying experience from a chain that has not figured out how to value a customer.

Bought a dual monitor cable from the Radio Shack in Warminster, PA on the recommendation of the MANAGER, named David. I thought I made it clear it was to connect two monitors to a laptop. Turns out the product does not do that. I called to ask if I could bring it back for store credit toward the right product. He insisted that he explained the product didnt do what I wanted when I purchased it, which is rediculous because I would not have purchased it, clearly. He also said, "we dont play games with our customers, they play games with us" and "too bad" all sales are final because they are going out of business. I thought since he clearly sold me the wrong product due to miscommunication, he would try to make it right, instead he was insulting and rude. Do not go to Radio Shack, they clearly do not care about doing a good job or about their customers. No wonder they are going under.

This store plays favorites: I rushed to this store, being one of the only electronics stores in the area to get an ethernet cable for my computer. I got there at 7:56, 4 minutes to closing, and saw a woman pleading to buy one last thing. I though "Whew! I can at least do the same and internet for tonight!" Nope! The employee flirted with the woman, let her in, then turned to me and said "Sorry man, were closed", and locked the doors before I even had a chance to say I only needed a cable. An elderly man knocked on the door seconds later wanting something else, and the same employee just shook his head and mouthed closed.

These people knows about all the phones available from At&t,Sprint,T-mobile etc. and they have the lowest price ever in comparison to all At&t,Sprint,T-mobile,Best buy or anything else and they explain you everything in details from plan to how much its going to cost and whats best for you plus they will help you out to set up the whole phone for you and teach you how to use all the function on a new phone if you dont know and also install the screen protector for your phone screen if you buy from them. The highly recommended place for cellphones and mobile phone.

Its sad what has happened to RadioShack, but this one still has some of the original qualities that made RadioShack so successful way back when. The cell phone section is a little ridiculous, taking up most of the store, but thats the world we live in, so cant blame them for trying to adapt.

Amidst the hustle-bustle of center city, I was able to duck into this Radio Shack and get some actual one-on-one customer service. The associate took plenty of time to explain all the details on the Roku device. Talk to Jeff like I did, he was very helpful and thorough.

Awesome customer service. I called to find out if they have a product I was looking for and the lady on the phone was really polite and professional. Her name was Alexus she really knows what she was talking about. I highly recommend this place for electronics

I couldnt find thermal paste for my PC repair at best buy, staples, walmart, etc. The clerk knew just what I was looking for, and had several options in stock.

It sure aint Mouser or DigiKey but it certainly is the last place in Center City you can buy electronic parts at a reasonable price.
