A nice place, and one we always take visitors to the area to for the day. A little odd, but in a good way-- quirky. A wide range of random things. I enjoy it, but I feel it would be better with a more cohesive lay-out and maybe a map of the entire store. The pet-store is nice and looking on the website, it seems they get the puppies from local, reputable (hopefully) breeders rather than puppy-mills, and I greatly appreciate that, + there were newborn kittens on displays BUT it wasnt that they immediately took the kittens away from their mother (thats detrimental to their development, etc.), the mother was in with them and there was a sign not to bother them too much. I love to take care of betta fish and while Ill look next time if they have inadequate tanks (below 1 gallon) or bowls in stock, the fish looked significantly better than the selection from Walmart, Petco, Petsmart, etc. and most reacted healthily to my finger and didnt seem lethargic. They were also prettier and had a wide range of colors that kind of surprised me-- usually, you mostly find the typical (but still pretty) red or blue male veiltail, but I found red-black combinations, purple, yellows, oranges; so many beautiful ones. I actually might go back today and finally stock my ten-gallon that Ive been preparing with one of them. So, yeah, the pet-store is cool, but Id like the general store to be a bit more laid out. Also, the petting zoo seems... a bit run-down. The animals dont look too sick but I usually dont see any worker in that area tending to the animals and making sure everyones right, and when you have animals like that, its better not to rely on their hardiness and take care of them as best as you can, if that makes sense. Theyre fine, of course, but the areas kinda dirty and everything looks run down. Im not sure about animal care with bigger farm animals but that ground that theyre always walking on might not be the best compared to soft, installed grass, and maybe the area should be expanded a bit more to house all those llamas, goats, etc. Not sure about the birds like the peacocks and vultures as this time they didnt seem to be there and the entire bird area was covered. TLDR; Good and quirky store that has a wide variety of cool things to buy and some useful things, but it should be a tad more cohesive and perhaps there should be maps available to find what you need. The pet-store seems pretty good in terms of conditions and the pets seem to come from good breeders instead of puppy-mills. (which is more than I can say for most pet stores, unfortunately) The petting zoo, however, seems run-down and it should be given a bit more management. Overall, a neat place to visit.

This was once a wonderful hidden gem and fairly well lived up to its name of "Worlds Largest General Store". I could have easily given it another star or two. Unfortunately it suffered a fire several years ago. They trudged on and put up an immense permanent tent/shelter to allow them to put out various things from their warehouse and try and keep in business, and also used some little separate buildings for more store/pet space. That went on for over a couple of years and eventually they mustered the money together to try and rebuild the main building. Unfortunately their choice of building was a basic 1 floor warehouse type plan, and probably less than half of the original floor space they once had. Its no where near the interesting building with a winding/twisting shopping path they had, and it was the hunt in and around to see all the various wares they used to sell that could keep you busy and having some browsing fun. If they have the money or courage to invest, they could easily add on to the main building (and maybe some other buildings) and make it the creative layout they once had, with a much wider inventory to make it the "Largest General Store" it once was. They do continue to try some seasonal events throughout the year to bring in more visitors, but some of those things are few and far between, and they also need more promotional events as well as wider spread advertisements to really bring in the customer flow they need to also help.

I like the service team part and they have a lot of cool stuff but the fact that they sell dogs san cats kills me, itd be so much better if they just at featured adoptables from local shelters. The petting zoo is a bit disorganized (the rosters really should be seperated) and overwhelming. Some of their stuff is expensive and its inconvenient if you need to run in for one thing. I tend to go to other stores in the area for things.

Vale la pena darle la visita , tiene de todo un poco. Ferreteria, tienda de mascotas, decoraciones y muchas cosas mas. Ademas tiene una parte que puedes ver los animales de granja y alimentarlos.

Very large selection of everything. You have to follow the yellow brick road and it winds through everything. If you are going here for one particular item look elsewhere as you need to navigate the whole store. There is a ton of cheap and expensive things. The kids area is open to everyone but there is a pay area that I didnt feel was worth $10 but my kid did.

I do not feel it was worth the drive off i476. I had high expectations based off their faux-building advertisements. Yes the inside had novel items but they do not have signage on their handicap parking spots so everyone parks in the blue and their bathrooms were disgusting by midday. I am giving 3 stars because we did get some good laughs at the statues

Great fun and TONS OF GREAT STUFF! Signs, specialized foods, candles, decor, gardening supplies, hardware, paints, flooring, lumber, cooking ware and LOADS MORE. Including petting zoo and restaurant. Only negative thing was its not laid out well - or there are no maps or signage. But, the novelty of it all makes up for it.

In all honesty the inside store part is nice, lots of cool things. However the outside play area and "petting zoo" is terrible! Most of the play equipment is broken and very unsafe!! Its like a little tykes junk yard. The animals are poorly kept and just sad to see. For being. A tourist spot it is very poorly maintained.

This place was cool before the fire but my husband and I just left there and were so disgusted. The outside area where the puppies are is loaded and I mean loaded with RATS. They were running all over out there. What a health hazard. We will never eat anything from there again. So very sad. We used to enjoy going there.

This place is nice to visit we are there often as we dont live far. However its not like it use to be before the fire. They can be on the pricier side, they have a nice restaurant but they are not cheap however the food is good but they are other places in the area that are good and far cheaper!
