The women who is in the bakery is the owner. Her name is Susie Baker. She makes everything fresh daily Items like Pershing doughnuts, chocolate chip cookies, fritters, & Pizza. This store serves the needs of an entire community you might not have the greatest snack selection. However the guy who lives five miles down the road will be able to come in and find the part he needs to fix his water pump. So that that person does not have to drive 20 miles down the road to get it.If the person who comes and stays at the elderberry Inn during hunting season they will find what he needs as well. if you are one your way to the coast and your kid throws their bottle out the window you can get a new one at Bakers. While still making sure that If you are just hungry and thirsty from driving you can come in get a delicious pastry and coffee. They may not have everything you want but they have everything you need. Regarding price yeah they are a little more expensive have you been to any mini mart gas station general store that was not? did it look half as nice or have half much selection? I am guessing it did not. Besides lets say they need something that did not come during the general delivery. Or you run out of something and it is going to take while for the next delivery. Well then they have to drive about 38 miles in either direction & back to get it and put it on their shelves. For people who stop in just on their way to the coast in a hurry and yell at someone in the middle of baking to come over and help them right now. I can under stand the rudeness because Landon I am sorry dont know you but you kind of sound like a douche. Ps: I am in no way associated with Bakers. I am just the guy who needed the part for their pump and a big fan of the pershing doughnut. Not a fan of snap Judgements.

I always love stopping by this place when I traveled from Portland to the coast. Such nice workers who also seem to enjoy their job and the people they work with. Makes a difference in your day. If you know you are going by this bakery make sure you order a pie the day before to pick it up along the way. It will be hard to have it last until you you reach the coast or whatever your destination may be. Thanks bakers!

We stopped here the morning of July 5th, 2015 and asked if they would assist a stranded lady (out of gas) and her four children a mile or so down the road. The guy (dont know his name) immediately grabbed a full gas can and took off in his truck to help. We were pulling a big RV and couldnt go back. A shout-out to Bakers General Store on Hwy. 26 for their awesome customer service.

The renovation of this building did wonders. The inside looks great as does the outside. If you need a snack on your way to or from the coast, this place is a good place to stop. Tons of baked goods, miscellaneous supplies and food. Staff is very nice and helpful.
