The General Store has fabulous merchandise and very helpful staff. I also think they are very well priced. I shop here a lot and never feel like Im overpaying, even though I am usually paying full retail price. I meet friends here for breakfast and lunch and its always good. Love their scones, popovers and salad trio. Their quiche is what I would describe as "manly quiche". Very large, thick slices chock full of vegetables and/or meat. Its great fun to browse through the place and I always come away with new ideas or great items for my home.

Love this place for gifts for XMAS or birthdays. Always keeps that small neighborhood General Store feel even though its become a large store. Tons of nice boutique clothing for women as well as huge selection of nice costume and higher end jewelry such as Alex & Ann brand and great home items. Not just xmas decorations like most think. They have a huge selection of decorations though and great candy! Even a nice restaurant downstairs with great great food and bakery goods!!

Ive never enjoyed a shopping experience more!! I dont even know where to start with this review. Wonderful selection of adorable goods and a fantastic café to take a refreshment break. Delicious lunch options with fresh ingredients. I spent a crazy amount, but only because there was a huge selection. Prices were very reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful without hovering.

This store is Ahhhhhmazing. Way bigger than I expected and so many cute things. They have umbrella strollers at the door you can use for your kiddos. It smells amazing in there. Home decor, trinkets, clothes, bags, garden decor, various odds and ends galore. Next time I will stop in with more time to spare.

this is an awesome store, restaurant and has everything from a great smelling candle to a pkg of spices to mix for party dip to jeans and kids toys...spent 2 hrs there a day before Christmas 2013. Make a point to go and allow lots of time! just west of 494 & hwy 7 in Mtka MN
