I have two rings that needed to be sized down. Not just a little. One needed to go from a size 9 to 6.5 the other my wedding set from 8.5 to 6.25. The larger of the two is gold wire work and cannot be cut and soldered. The other, is a diamond bar set which is the most difficult of jewelry designs to make smaller. I took both rings to I have no idea how many jewelery stores. I went to designers, I went to Portland, every store in Keizer, Jacksons told me they dont really do that kind of work and if I bought a new ring Id have to buy one of their diamonds to quote them "we dont really use other peoples diamonds in our rings". Every single jeweler told me they could not size down either ring. They would have to basically destroy the wire one (they would not put just a sizing bar on it), and the wedding set there was no way, Id have to buy a whole new ring set. One store (Bouches) that said they couldnt size down the wedding set I was prepared to buy a whole new set from for my anniversary but they told me they couldnt use MY diamond Id have to buy a new main center stone because mine was too small. Youre kidding right? I have a jewelers degree from the GIA. I know how difficult it is to resize these rings, but it is possible, if you try. You also can use different head sizes to put my diamond in (its not a tiny diamond). Anyhow, I went to Vernons and I was told EXACTLY what they could try and what might work and just in case it doesnt what the alternatives would be. It would take time which I was fine with. Two weeks after I dropped them off I got a call telling me the head on my engagement ring was absolutely warped and destroyed, not by them but by others who had attempted to work on it. I knew that, there were litterally holes in the gold on some of the prongs from where people not really knowing what they were doing tried to fix my ring. About a month after I dropped my rings off I got a call that they were ready. Theyre PERFECT. I cannot be more pleased. My wire ring has a sizing bar which blends in with the ring. Unless you flip it over and take it off you cannot see it the colors match perfectly. My ring isnt damaged at all. The wedding set is the right size. It had to be taken apart, a new head put on but everything was explained up front and it cost WAY less than I thought it would. And guess what, I have my original diamond in my ring. Theyre gorgeous, perfect and exactly what I wanted. Plus the new head is what is required for a princess cut stone, when it was orignally mounted whomever did it use the head for a round stone and modified it, thats why all the "fixes" by others. I will never go anywhere else for any of my jewelry needs ever again.

Everything is fine if you are satisfied with their repair work. If youre not, prepare for the rage-filled owner to yell at you on the phone, hang up on you and then insist on creating a scene inside his storefront when you attempt to pick up your jewelry. I tried to deal with a different sales clerk because I found his hostility to be frightening, but clearly this is something they enjoy doing as a team because she refused to help me and made me deal with him instead. He started raising his voice again and I told him we didnt need to have a conversation, I just want my ring. He shouted at me all the way out the door, all the while claiming that I was the rude party. I asked him why he wanted to engage in a fight with me when I was trying to leave. He said "Im not Nordstroms! I defend my business and employees". I have no idea what that means nor do I have any idea how they maintain repeat customers. This is the most horrifying retail experience Ive ever had. He actually frightened me. I felt bad for the only other customer there to witness it. I have never seen an owner behave like this. He is truly unhinged

Took my ring to get resized. Alan and his staff were amazing. So nice, welcoming, and eager to please. He knew how sad I was to have to give up my ring for resizing just a day after being proposed to, and he did the work himself to make sure it was done that same day! I could not be more happy with my experience and leaving there SO happy. The ring was not purchased from Vernon Jewelers, however, I will not trust anyone else to care for my ring going forward and will be going in every few months to have it checked!

I was promised by the staff that a very important piece of jewelry would be done by a certain date. Well, that date passed,a s did several weeks. When I called to inquire I was met with a very nasty attitude, saying their machine had broken and to be patient. I asked why they hadnt called me to let me know there would be a delay and he became very cross and yelled at me. This was not an inexpensive piece they were working on. I will never go back, nor recommend their services.

I stopped in to see about getting a ring of mine sized down. When i came in I was greeted at the door with warm smiles and the costumer service was absolutley wonderful. I had a bent ring i needed shaped back and another ring needing to be sized. They quoted me with very fair pricing, shaped my bent ring right there and the other ring needing sized was done in only 2 days. This from now on will be my jewler of choice. I truly do appreciate the owner and his staffs hospitality.

My wedding ring broke and I was about to loose the stone. I took it to the chain store I purchased it at and was told it would take 2 weeks and $450 to fix. A friend told me to have Vernon Jewelers take a look at it. They were wonderful. I actually spoke with the goldsmith, not just some sales person and they fixed it in one day for only $150. I will definitely, recommend them to my friends, use them again, and next time buy my jewelry from them also.

Ive always had a very good experience dealing with the folks at Vernons. They even went the extra step once to suggest I might get a better deal on a particular watch elsewhere. That honesty cemented my trust in their good advice. They are my first stop when Im in the market.

There is nowhere else I would take my business! I have had nothing but positive experiences and quality work done. They are very honest, fair, and take the time necessary to make sure the work done is top quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!
