I came across some of the rudest employees I have ever met. It was obvious that they had no interest in assisting me and were more interested in whatever they were doing in the empty store before my arrival. I walked into this store in an attempt to resolve issues I was having with my Sierra Wireless modem. I was the only customer in the store. The problems I was having resembled similar problems I had previously with this same modem. When I had the problems previously, I was told by tech support to go into the store to get assistance. Since the problems were similar, I went directly to the store for help. I was met by an individual later identified as the store manager “Kevin”. Kevin was extremely rude and demanded to know the issues I was having with the modem. I explained them, he asked me to repeat them several times as he supposedly wrote them on a “trouble ticket”. After repeating my answers to him, he finally “allowed” me to walk to the back of the store where the technicians were located. There were three other employees behind the very messy desk standing around, not one of them greeted me. Kevin went to the back, evidently looking for another technician and came back to tell me that the person he was looking for was “indisposed” and would be there shortly. While I sat there waiting patiently, another person, “Katy,” took the modem without saying anything to me and plugged it into the store computer. She did not look at the “trouble ticket” nor did she greet (or say anything to) me. I continued to sit. I tried to explain to the issues with my modem to Kevin and Katy Kevin asked me if I had a warranty on my computer and suggested I might want to reinstall the original settings on the computer using the disk from the manufacturer. I told him that was not the problem, and I was not going to take my computer back to the original status when built. I continued trying to explain that something in the Smartview software was causing the hang. Shortly thereafter, Katy announced that the modem installed on the store computer fine, so there was no problem with Sprint and I should talk to the manufacturer of my computer. Again I explained that there were issues with the Sprint software, not my computer hardware. Realizing that Katy had no interest in assisting me and Kevin had no idea what he was talking about, I decided to leave the store and try to work my way through telephone tech support. (I never did meet the missing tech support employee who was indisposed.) As I was leaving the store, either Katy or Kevin said “good by SIR” to me. As I am obviously a woman (long blonde hair in a ponytail and wearing a skirt) this was just one more indication of the attitude of individuals (and the management) of this store.

THIS IS THE STORE FOR YOU IF ... 1 - if you value poor customer service, 2 - if you like long waits with no seating and crappy music, 3 - if you like to pay for parking and make an appointment to be told your appointment has been given to a person waiting in the lobby who did not make an appointment 4- if you want Sprint to have your $300 for a month and you still have no phone. You dont have to choose - you get all 4 at this store! Over 4 weeks ago I purchased (and paid for) an iPhone 6 because it was the last day of a special to trade in your old phone. (Who does a special when they dont have product anyway? Topic for another review.) I was told the phone would arrive in 1 to 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I called to check on the status of my order and was told it would definitely be another 2 weeks - they didnt even ask for my name or account number! After nearly 4 weeks the phone arrived. I have been twice to the store to pick it up and I still do not have my phone. The first time I arrived 30 min before closing and was informed they were not helping any more customers that day and suggested I make an appointment. So I made an appointment online and arrived on time for my appointment to be told the wait would be at least 45 minutes because when someone in the lobby has been waiting for 30 minutes then they get my appointment. This is twice Ive been downtown on a weeknight - fought traffic and paid for parking - and I still have no phone! Which I paid for over a month ago. Frustrated.

Thanks......customer service absolutely terrible, from the minute I walked in okay yeah Im dirty, homeless yeah I dont look that great, or clean... But Im still a human being and Im a good person and Im a customer. so it f****** blows me away that Im "loitering" & that they need me to leave the store while Im waiting for my phone to be activated.what gives them the right to treat me less than any other customer just because of how I look or how I live?!!?I suggest you dont go to the store because simply if they treat me that way f****** they obviously dont have respect for humanity, and if the manager or boss one come and say something to the f****** dude who told me to leave, I have no hope for any of them.. Unless of course maybe it was another employee who would not have done that. so, unless youre a yuppie whos extremely clean and looks perfect and pretty much has f****** money hanging out of your pocket, dont go in here unless you want to get assumed to be something that youre not, such as a piece of turd or a thief, or worse. thank you sprint on Broadway in downtown Portland for proving to me again for like the 5th time today that there are so many people in this world that have no clue what compassion is, and are obviously out of touch with what makes humans, human.. and thats empathy emotion and compassion.

This store rocks! Adam and Jake are totally on top of EVERYTHING you need: Finding a good phone, getting on the right plan, getting any discounts your eligible for. They never push a product and theyre more than willing to admit and advise you on which services or phones are expensive or not very good. Everyone Ive encountered in the store knows every question you may have for them: Be it how to pair your Bluetooth to your phone, how to use all of your phones features, or even complex account questions like changing plans or transferring liability to a new person. Im not a Sprint rep. Im just an average joe who doesnt want to get robbed (any more than we already have to) by his wireless carrier. Also, this store is in the middle of downtown Portland - and although it usually has 5 or 6 employees working whenever Im there, it is entirely possible that there will be a line, folks! BUT, they are always looking around to greet people as they enter and let them know that theyll be with you shortly. AND they try to help whomever was there first not just the pushy Type-A who walked in last and is demanding immediate attention because hes technologically illiterate.

"half of the staff was shooting the bull or typing on their computers". This is ridiculous. The majority of their work entails being on their computers and "shooting the bull" with customers. You will never go into this store and be blatantly ignored. The staff is ALWAYS working hard when in go in there and does whatever they can to take care of everyone. Part of the reason they are so busy is because they are a repair center and fix phone same day. They are the ONLY carrier that does this. You cant go into T-mo, Att or Verizon and get your phone fixed the same day. By the way, in the 6 years I have been going to this store, I have never once seen the staff be rude to a customer, UNLESS that customer was being aggressive or rude to start out with. If you wanted to be treated with respect, then you have to be respectful. You cant walk into any retail environment acting mean to the staff and expect to be treated like a king. Overall, this store is awesome, as is their staff, and especially their technicians, who have more experience than any other repair Sprint repair center in the area.
