Every autozone has what you need at generally a bit cheaper than napa. This particular location though I had a bad experience with the manager. I simply ask for a part for a quite common engine, he replied rudely not knowing that motor. I said its common a number of vehicles that I listed, and he said unless I have an exact make and model, he cant help. Of course i thought to just state one of them and he would have found my part, but he was so rude about the whole thing right of the bat that I made a comment regarding his attitude, and he had a few choice words back. He way, way over reacted. So I called, complained, and have not ever seen him again. Other than that, be aware that most of the people that work there especially the women dont know what they are selling.

They get 1 star for correct address. The manager Becky Stutz was not helpful but only cited "corporate policy" The scoop; Mechanic in Washington State purchased from Auto Zone wrong battery and installed into vehicle. Vehicle makes it back to Portland and local mechanic shows its the wrong battery. Went to auto zone in Milwaukie. Walked into another customer who was calmer than myself already sharing his distaste for the company. I explained my situation to Becky Stultz manager who laughed and said better contact BBB...just over a wrong battery...wow!! We own a small fleet of vehicles..guess they do so well they dont need another customer..Anyone need a brand new duralast battery..got one cheap...

I had to return 5 times for the right part after they assurred is the parts were correct.Initially the parts were not even ordered,so a week later when we went to pick up parts,there was no order.Each time we went in, rather than look up our names,account,or parts order in the computer,we were asked what we ordered,what was it for,what was the parts #,etc. I got the feeling no one at the 82nd ave store knew anything about automotive .We wont be back,in fact we found knowledgeable people elsewhere with the right parts,in stock & at a better price. Very disappointed.

Service at AutoZone is pretty assertive, sometimes it can feel a little bit like the Apple store, in the way that someone is helping me almost immediately, in a generally contrived tone. It can feel lacking in genuine connection. But, good are usually super helpful and they stick with getting me until Im ready to run the card.. so thats nice. I can think of so many other experiences at other parts houses when the attention to customers feels lesser priority. Anyway. I like the service at this particular location the most out of the Portland locations.

Despite a busy time, they read the OBD codes on by truck and priced a couple parts. (a couple weeks later) ... they did it again today; helped me read OBD2 codes and interpret them even though I bought nothing (at this time). The gal helping me even gave me a listing of the corrective part made by different mfrs I could choose from, with pricing. She was energetic and awesome; wish I caught her name.

The worse place ever went threw 5 different alternators before i got fed up and got my refund all they sell is trash workers are ugly stupid and rude will never step foot in their again i hope the earth opens up and swallows them alive. For giving me trouble on a return i hate that they make you feel stupid i know what am doing your the ones stuck at a dead end job i hope they learn a lesson

I really appreciate you guys ripping my mother gas cap tether off, telling her she doesnt need it when she does and especially wanted it on. Then telling her your other store has one (which they didnt) and having them say you didnt even call over to confirm or let them know what was going on. Good job messing up then just trying to pawn her off on another store.

Looks like a new crew and they are great I wont go anywhere else. Super helpful! They have helped me put headlights in, checked my fluids and replaced my wipers. The store manager here is very aprochable and knowledgable. The Cleanest store Ive been to. Love them!!!! Everyone there is very personable!

sign on door says theyre hiring. It shows that they need more help. Went in for a windshield washer relay that their computer system said my car didnt have that option. Yeah... Chrysler Town & Country mini van has one. In fact... nah, not worth it.
