Cheap parts, huge selection, owner has selective interpersonal and customer service skills,. But hes "entitled" to behave like an a-hole to select customers as hes the owner and he knows cables I suppose. Just dont bring kids with you. He stood over my 2.5 yr old daughter with a look of disgust as she placed 2 display brackets into a basket. He just stood there towering over my frightened toddler, with a wicked scowl over his face. After she returned the display brackets to the basket full of brackets they came from, he swiftly grabbed that basket of brackets and moved them to the checkout counter. My daughter and I continued shopping, with us taking turns placing items into my own basket. The owner again walked to our aisle and scornfully said, "could you NOT have her toss the products like that?! I just cant have that in my store!" WTF?! He had no problem with me and any other customer casually tossing items for purchase (cable ties, velcro wraps, cable tubing - all plastic and fabric in plastic bags), but apparently the force of a 2.5 yr old girl tossing the same items is greater than an adult customer. This owner, then asked the cashier to watch over us as he reiterated to her that he just cant have any of that in his store. The poor cashier left her station, walked up to our aisle and asked if we were ready to check out. By this point, I was in awe at the sheer rudeness and lack of even a modicum of customer service from the owner. I purchased everything that we tossed into my basket and decided to pick up the rest of my shopping list at ENU Inc, as theyve never wavered from excellent customer service, even if the prices are a few cents more than PCH Cables. That extra you pay at ENU (or elsewhere for that matter) ensures that a business that treats their customers like human beings will continue to remain in business.

Im quite happy with cables I purchased at PCH(formerly PCHeidens computers). But I have to say that walk in in service is not any better than ordering on-line. You will get about as much feedback and help as sitting in front of your screen. For Walk in orders there was specific request that there be no more than 5 line items. Fine. Part numbers were also requested. No problem. They had what I wanted and in the area too. Great! For example I wanted to purchase 5 of a specific type of video cable. The guy says "that isnt a part number," lookin over my short list. OK. "Can you help me find the part number?" He starts coming out from behind the counter to the customer available PC.The phone rings and I say that Ill find it and when I make a move to do so he scowls and waves me off like im too stupid to tie my shoes and answers the phone while he goes through the menu. There was one only on the shelf he said after checking so I asked for an idea as to what I could use instead. Very brusquely he, the owner, said "Nope. cant help" ???? "Just look in the computer there."He went about filling other orders while I finished up Things went down hill from there. Later on my half hour journey back to Portland I was concerned that I got the right style of connector for the devices in question. So I called so that I wouldnt have tomake the trip again. In stead of reassuring me that I had the right cable he got argumentative and condescending. I finally had to hang up, get out of the car and open the trunk and look at the cables to determine that I had the right ones after matching it up with photographs. Altogether a distasteful service experience. No wonder he runs an on-line business. So I give it a grudging 2 stars the price, selection and quality of the cables was great. The service....well... you get the idea.

Unbeatable selection and prices for a small-time Brick and Mortar store. I have been several times, and have encountered knowledgeable and helpful staff. If you want an obscure cable or adapter (say, a Toslink to 3.5mm jack converter) the people here will know what youre talking about, instead of giving you a vacant stare. The store is a warehouse environment - cardboard boxes on shelves and plain plastic baggies on hooks. But everything is clearly labelled, including important specs most chain store packaging doesnt even tell you. I.e. - is this HDMI cable wall rated? Whats the cablings actual gauge? Its a place for knowledgeable people to get decent cables and adapters at excellent prices. Youll save money over buying online (no shipping charges) and get what you need same-day. The quality is the same as everywhere else. Yes, most stuff is from China, but thats true for most everything youll find at a competitor. The quality is exactly what youd expect for the price, and its easy to evaluate in-store. The return policy seems a bit strict, but Ive returned items without issue. Its not like Costco, though - these guys are probably operating on slim margins and dont take restocks lightly. My only complaint is that the store hours are inconvenient. Theyre only open during normal business hours - no evenings or weekends. Id probably be there a lot more if they were open on Saturday. Some of the reviews here make me skeptical. If you want a brightly lit store with manufacturer-sponsored end caps and teenage sales staff that slobber on you while you pay 400% markup, youre better off at "Best" Buy.

So this place has a ton of cheap cables for sure, just dont expect good customer service from the owner. He goes way back as a business owner in the area as he used to own a computer shop with a similar name in the same area. His customer service was bad then and its bad now. I gave it 2 starts simply because of the huge selection of cheap Chinese no-name cables that will probably work the way they are intended to. I would give more stars except as I have gotten older I feel like customer service is pretty important. I can get cheap Chinese cables at a lot of different places so why would I go to a place where the owner feels like his life would be perfect if it werent for actual customers? My last (literally) visit I asked about HDMI cables. Specifically about the new 1.4 standard and what advantages it would provide, and was it necessary for what I was doing. The owner was irritated that I hadnt read a rather uninformative sign posted near the HDMI cables and walked over to point to the sign and explain that if I had read that I would not have to ask any questions. The problem was I did read the sign, and it didnt answer all my questions, which is why I asked him. The other employee behind the counter even looked uncomfortable at the way he talked to me. So I bought my cable and left, never to return. Go here if you know exactly what you want and dont plan on bothering the owner for any information about his products. Otherwise go somewhere with customer service.

I agree with all of the dozens of others below who said these guys are very rude and disrespectful. These guys are certainly lacking any decent social graces. They are rude, have no patience and completely disrespectful. Thats the #1 reason for my 1-star review. . In addition to that I feel their no-return policies are a bit ridiculous. They made a point to mention that most of my items were not returnable, even if they were completely unopened and unused. One of my items could be returned, but only if unopened. I guess when youre paying bargain basement prices you cant expect much. Nevertheless, this felt completely overzealous and pretty ridiculous. And again, they were just rude about the way they said it. Everything they say is with an air of arrogance and conceit. . Another problem is stocking items. One of the items I wanted (a 12g, 100 ft roll of speaker wire) they only had one of. I needed three. I thought that was pretty ridiculous that a store who sells cable and wire didnt have more than one of a pretty common item. No back stock room, just whats on the shelves. No apology. Just "Nope. Whats on the shelves is all we got." . If youre in need of a lot of cables or really long cables (that would be cost prohibitive elsewhere) then I guess this is the place to go. They have a ton of selection and bargain basement prices. But dont expect much in terms of customer service skills. They dont have any and dont care.
