I was confronted by a rude door person by the name of Mike. When I asked about another door person that worked there, he said Susan? I replied yes, I said that she is such a pleasant person and That she is wonderful to all customers that walk-through that door and he said Shes not nice, nobody that works here is nice, I dont like anyone here! I said well I do like Susan and others here. I walked away to shop but I was so distraught over our conversation I just could not focus. After a short while I went back to him and told him that I thought he was rude and that he should not say things to customers as such, and that his customer service attitude needed working on. He then said why? and I repeated what he told me and he said I did not say that! I said oh now youre lying? I told him that I have been in customer service over 25 years and that his type of behaviour should not be tolerated!, Thats when I asked him for his name and told him that I was going to report him to corporate- As I walked away, I turned to look back and he went to talk to another person that was working at the exit door and both of them looked at me and laughed. I took my tablet out and snapped a picture of the both of them. Later I was to find out that the person that he talked with was Ryan- I wrote to corprate A couple of days later the head Supervisor of the store called me to meet, and discuss the matter at which we did. He said that on that same day Mike came to him and discussed the issue, his side of the story. I also showed the supervisor the picture of the both of them laugh-sneering at me. He said he resolved the problem. I stated that someone like that should not be at the door as a greeter! I was amazed that when I returned to shop there, he was still at the door! Every time I walk in and turn around he calls another door employee and they both look at me. He has made me so uncomfortable going to shop there, but its the Costco closest to where I live.

I recently visited this Costco -the largest Costco in the world- and found it to be a quasi-interesting experience at best. I do not have a Costco membership, so the only reason why I was admitted inside the store by the attendee was because I told her that I was going to visit the pharmacy (which was, admittedly, in the words of Spock, an "exaggeration": Like Spock, I cannot tell a lie but I do tend to exaggerate now and then...). I walked towards the pharmacy then proceeded to walk down every aisle of this store, analyzing the store. I believe that I was the only humanoid (as Spock would say) inside the store -without a shopping cart- which should have given me away as an imposter had the employees been more intelligent, attentive, and alert. What Ive learned from visiting Costco is that many of their brand-name products (food, especially) are unique, and not to be found anywhere else...and many of their brand-name food products also do seem like they may be high quality. Browsing through their OTHER sections however, (esp. electronics, clothing, etc.) gave me the impression that some of these items may be of low-grade quality. I also came to the realization that by buying in bulk you can save lots of money, but you would ideally need a gargantuan vehicle with a gargantuan trunk to fit a couple of shopping carts of items into it. This store is quite large: the interior of it resembles the Death Star: metallic ceilings and very little noise -far TOO MUCH space and shelves than seems necessary. This experience may or may not give me much incentive to become a Costco member one day...however to reiterate everything about this store seemed like the Death Star to me...as well as the epitome of lifeless-ness and banality...and the sheer amount of space and shelves also came across as being nothing more than extreme gross excess to me...

Avoid the Tire Center. I am sure that, as far as Costco goes, the rest of the store is fine. Its clean, well stocked, and you get 3 people checking you out when it is time to pay (for some reason). The tire center is just awful though. My experience looked like this: I needed two new tires, and I knew the model number. I also knew that they would need to be ordered after an earlier conversation. I called Costco to get them ordered, but they cannot take orders over the phone, so I had to wait a day to start the process and go in the next day. I went in the following day, and like always, their service desk area is a parking lot of people waiting to be helped. They seem to have twice as many people as needed, putting goods in boxes at checkout, and half as many people as needed, getting people set up with new tires. I finally got the attention of one rep, and for some reason we had to go all the way back into the garage area so that he could get on a free computer. We stood around waiting for him to find a pen, and then were rudely told by a mechanic there to leave the garage and go sit outside. It wasnt going well. We finally got the tires ordered and were told that it would be 3-5 business days. We called 5 business days later and were told that they werent in, then minutes later we heard that they were in. They just hadnt been checked in. My wife went in the next day with the car to find that there was a single person working the Tire Center. He told her that they werent in as well. Again, after searching, he found that they were in. She arrived at the Costco as soon as they opened, but somehow it is going to take at least 90 minutes to change 2 tires. We may have saved a little money here (possibly), but I intend to pay more next time and have the work done by people who have their act together.

I love this store and go there atleast twice a month with my family. We did have one horrible experience with a cashier. My mom and sis only had a few items so they decided to share a shopping cart. We separated the stuff at checkout like we always do. The cashier charged my sister an extra case of water bottles. We went up to her and asked if we could go get another case instead so that it would be quicker and wouldnt have to go through the refund process and then back to customer service. She quickly blamed it on the assistant cashier that loads the carts saying it was his falut. Snapped her fingers in his face saying that he should watch what hes doing. My sister quickly responded and said "i heard when he told you how many cases of water bottles there were and it was not his fault, youre the one with the scanner" I think there was no need to blame anyone. This is a common mistake and we know these things happen. Cashiers at costco have to be quick. All we wanted was that extra case of water bottles. That lady had no right to snap her fingers at a coworker and raise her voice at the boy in front of customers. My sister was so mad for her yelling and snapping so we made a complaint to a supervisor. He said this wasnt the first complaint hes received for that same cashier. Then WTF is she still doing there!? (Yes, she is still working at this location) we just avoid her at checkout everytime we go. I wish I remembered her name. If you see a cashier who looks like shes having a bad day and never smiles.....its her. AVOID HER!
