Costco really needs to train their employees better. I was shopping at this Costco today and the family in front of me where Muslim. You could tell by the traditional clothes the women were wearing. After the cashier, a racist prick named Gregg, rang them up they presented their coupon book. Gregg told them they have to find every single coupon in the book that they used and they must be scanned individually. Now, I have been shopping at Costco for more than a decade and every single time I bought something that had a coupon the cashier automatically gave it to me, without having to present my coupon, or when I showed them one coupon all other coupons eligible on my purchase automatically were figured in to my total. I found this odd so while the family was looking for the right coupons I asked him if I needed to give him the right coupons also at which point he smiled at me and said no that wont be necessary. Keep in mind that I am a white male. While this family is in front of him, embarrassed to be holding up the line searching for coupons this poor excuse for a human being has the nerve to smile at me and tell me I wont be subjected to the same type of treatment in front of the Muslim family because I am white. I used to view Costco as a corporation and brand with much more respect however Gregg from Costco Aloha has severely damaged their reputation in my eyes.

I love this Costco!! Been to one in Tigard and didnt like it that much.. (Also my aunt used to go here all the time until she moved to portland and shes like iv been to a lot of Costcos but none of them can compare to the one in Aloha) this one always has friendly ppl working there and every time I call they always help me out and check prices for me and even when it shows that they have whatever I want they still go and double check to make sure its the right thing.. They always have a lot of food sampling.. Returning is never a problem. I always somehow end up spending a lot there even with buying a few things but I know that their stuff is better quality than some stores and they have bigger packaging so not really complaining on that part.. The only thing is the parking lol I wont start on that but lets just say youll be making quite a few circles until u find a parking space. Otherwise we love our Costco! (I mean since its in our area and only a mile away. We lived here for 22yrs)

Great deals on household items. If you arent familiar with Costco, it is a $50 yearly membership. That pays for itself for the few quality items I cant get affordable elsewhere (including Amazon subscribe and save). Primary among them: Ecos laundry detergent, quality organic frozen veggies, real maple syrup, tropical gold pineapple, and parchment paper. The cheap car rentals available online through Costco travel have also saved a ton of money. Biggest con to this Costco is parking. Its always hard to find parking and dont bother trying to shop on weekends or evenings. If you visit: weekdays before 3pm. The Tigard Costco has much better parking. However, while parking is a mess, the trafic around it is pretty good unless its near rush hour and all the Nike employees next door are heading home. Also, be warned. Each store is organized differently. If you get used to one and go to a different Costco looking for familiar products. You will wander around aimlessly not finding them.

It is amazing how some of the closest places to you will always have what you want. I have been to the costco out in Hillsboro and down in Tigard. Hillsboro, being a test market, should have had more of the products I wanted. However, many times I would walk out empty handed, for they didnt have the right paper shredder. Same with the Tigard one. Being so close to LO, it should have been higher end and have more/better products. However, same story where I wouldnt find everything I wanted or expected from Costco. However, after each of those trips I would go to the Aloha costo and it would have EXACTLY what I was needing. I think it is just a typical Costco, and with that it is given the necessities people are expecting. I now will hit this Costco first and if they are missing something, which has only happened once and no Costco carried the product, Ill head elsewhere.

Alternative vehicles other than cars, trucks, etc not welcome. Turned around in the parking lots at 9:30 p.m. or somewhere around that time because its lit and safer. Employee drives up on me and waits for me like someone who wants to hurt me or steal my stuff. Creepily waits for me and tries to talk to me. "This is private..." Im already away because I dont know what weirdo McJenkins wants. Long story short, if youre not in a car, truck, van, etc then they dont want you there. If youre riding a OneWheel, an electric skateboard, a Segway, an electric unicycle, or an electric bike then dont bother. They dont want your business. They certainly arent getting mine anymore. Thanks for trying the scare the piss out of me. Ill be sure to tell everyone how much you hate alternative sources of transportation and the creeper employees who wait in the dark.

Ive heard from several Costco employees that this is supposedly the very first Costco ever. Im inclined to believe it. Great place to shop for your bulk items or random knick-knacks. I get a great deal on all sorts of things that I never expect. Variety changes all the time. It also seems like the food sample people are ALWAYS out at this location. The employees have always been very helpful and friendly here. The "food court" is a pretty regular lunch time stop for me and my coworkers. Even when the line is long, it goes very fast. OK place to redeem cans/bottles. Not as busy as some places, but can still be pretty busy. Parking is probably the worst thing about this location. It feels as though all sanity is lost the moment you enter the lot. Manners, intellect, and culture immediately disappear and its every man for themselves.

The employees are so great. My membership expired and I was getting gas before the store was open. The guy was nice enough to use his card so I could get gas. Its personal touches like that that you get from paying your employees a living wage with benefits. Thank you for not listening to wall street and cutting wages to be in line with Wal-Mart. They also have a great selection of products, purchased a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer for 100 dollars less than other retailers sell it for, also put new USA made laminate flooring in my house for a great price. What a great company. PS thanks for getting rid of the self check outs, other stores keep adding them, but they are more trouble than they are worth.

Great group of employees, good ole Costco prices and bulk items. There are issues with kids running around, or in one case riding a tricycle, up and down isles with no awareness for anyone else and employees who just rolled their eyes and looked the other way - hoping the half-dozen or so I have seen do this are not representative of everyone. They also seem to open up the registers closest to the main isle that feeds the area check-out first, causing a crowding back into that main isle. Would work better if they opened the perimeter isles first so there is not a crowding/clogging issue, but it may just be a poorly thought out national policy I have not noticed until now?
