im sorry, I have been to a lot of walmarts in my day and this st helens walmart is by far the worst walmart, with the laziest staff I have ever seen. Some of the staff are even rude to customers. I took too long scanning an item in my basket cause well im not a used to the self check out and it timed out and made me start over. so this lady that worked there says in a snobby mannor well you are too slow. So I replied, well Im not trained to do your job sorry. As she stands there doing nothing. oh and i work swing shift at my job so i go into this walmart early in the am sometimes like 1 am. well as a person that hates lazy people, i have observed some really lazy humans in this walmart staff. I have a friend that works in a walmart in another town. and his managers harp and yell at him if he cant stock an obserd amount of pallets of boxes each night. one night we took a trip to this st helens walmart to buy a few items, this trip quickly turned into a walk through to see how lazy this staff is compaired to the stocking staff at his walmart after spotting a guy grabbing one box at a time of mac n cheese out of his box on the pallet and putting it on the shelf..... My friend and i look at eachother with shock and he says, I would be fired in minutes at his walmart for this .. that said every worker we spotted here in st helens walmart that night was like waching sloths work. this place needs new management for real. I hate lazy people. I must be something in the water that makes this town retarded

I went into St Helens OR WalMart this morning looking for a few items. I have looked for a certain movie, R.I.P.D., for some time. On the side of the five dollar movies was a picture of that movie. I started going through the plethora of movies. A WalMart Associate, Marlene, asked me what I was looking for and she started looking. Another associate came by, Adrean (not sure of the spelling), and grabbed a cart to put the gone through movies. We went through that whole bin and started on the other one. After much searching Adrean found the movie. I was so happy, and so will my grandkids, and wanted to tell you how much I appreciated the kindness those two ladies showed. There were even other WalMart people wanting to help. Thank You so much for a warm, kind and helpful staff. john

Almost all of the cashiers have been replaced by self checkout lanes. I am not sure how that impacts the unemployment rate here in our small town. I kind of like having a person to interact with while at the checkout counter. However, there are plenty employees standing around looking bored if you have any questions. All of the isles have also been moved around. They dont seem to be any wider so I dont see the purpose except for now I have to walk up and down every isle to find my usual grocery items. The pharmacy is amazing! Im satisfied 99% of the time I have to get my prescriptions refilled. Overall customer service is pretty good. No complaints in the department!

I have no issue with the hourly employees. I was called about an issue I had and the manager said the would resolve my issue by offering me a $40 gift card to be picked up in store. when I went to the store I waited for an hour to find out there was no gift card and there was no one there with the authority to give me the gift card because the manager did not leave the card for me. its frustrating that the employees dont have the authority to resolve the issue themselves and that there was no manager on duty either. unless the resolve my issue via the $40 gift card and something for my time wasted I will not be shopping here again. VERY FRUSTRATING

I was in today I needed to buy a few things. Mostly I needed nicotine patches. The checkout adjunct to those things was the only person serviced lane open. I ask if there was a way for me to get my nicotine patches and still use the self serve check out. I was told no I had to wait in a 4 deep line. Unacceptable. Dont use the St. Helen Walmart if you want to use the self checkout but need anything from behind the tobacco check out. Dont have my patches! Guess Ill go to corner grocery and get some cigarettes. What a waist of time, Walmart!

I will go out of my way to avoid shopping at all Wal-Marts in general if there are other options like Fred Meyers. I dont approve of the way they treat their employees and bring down the entire community. I am happy to pay more money elsewhere, just to not shop here. The employees which are willing to work here are.. well.. how do I put this. not the brightness of the bunch. Never found them overly helpful, but just getting by in order to stay employed there. Fairly clean Wal-Mart, relatively speaking.

Feels like an Orwellian nightmare. Caneras everywhere, and placed insanely obviously. All but two of the checkout lines are self check, and each has a camera / monitor so you can watch yourself. Look, you are watching, I get it. But where are the employees? Entire store smells like chemicals. For the record, the few employees you do encounter are great. This places sucks, even for a WalMart.

Do not like the changes in the registers. Today they had one checker in the fast check out and that was it. I do not like self check out and I am disappointed in Wal mart for putting so many in without options for handicapped people or small children who need customer service. I will drive to Fred Meyers or shop online more now. Not to mention all the hours that were cut for employees. Not cool!

The womens clothes and my favorite candy seem to have the power to be able to restock themselves within minutes. I wanted these leggings I had seen but didnt have the cash for. Went to get the cash. Came back. The ones I wanted were gone. Got sad. Went to grab something else I needed. Walked back by and there they were. The leggings. Plus some. Fully stocked. In my size. Perfectly.

Finding what I need has always been easy, and if Im unable to find it there is always an employee who is willing to help. They will usually walk you to the item or aisle youre looking for. Although checkout might take a little while at times, its usually just because there are a lot of shoppers at the peak times.

i have had really good experiences here -i have called ahead and asked for items which they have held for me- sometimes up to 24 hours- i have never had anyone be rude to me = in wal mart- and if you think this one is rough- try to go to the ones in lihue kauai hi- or north dakota- yeah then we have a problem-

Wanted to get fishing license so I called in to check if they could do that. They told me to come on in but when I got there, everyone who was authorized had left. Had to drive 15 miles each direction for nothing and they werent even sympathetic.
