I found the front desk associate to be totally unreasonable with regard to picking up a very large item (3-door pantry). They give you 3 days and 1 extension day or the item goes back on the "floor" (ready for someone else to purchase). I asked for a couple of days more on the extension day due to the fact that we had a full trailer of building materials going to the coast the day after I purchased it. The trailer would be empty on the 6th day and we could pick it up. He indicated NO! So, my husband is having to make a special trip over from the coast to Beaverton and back just to pick it up. I said well, let me return it and then rebuy it, and he said NO they cant sell it back to me. TOTALLY UNREASONABLE. The store in Bay City is much more accommodating (smaller yes, but just as busy). Never have I had to deal with such unreasonable conditions. If it was a smaller item that is easier to pick up, then I could understand it. Think twice before buying a large item at this particular store!!

Good lord they make it hard to find out if you can donate. I call, I have a sink in fine working condition, just updated. Will they take that. "Maybe". Well, whats that mean? "We dont guarantee acceptance over the phone". Ok, thats fine, I just want to know if a working undamaged sink would normally be something thats accepted. Im not asking for a guarantee. "It might be accepted". AAUGGHH! Sheesh, I just want to know the guidelines on whats usually considered acceptable. Finally got to a manager that would actually answer my question. Way to much hassle and crazy non-committal double speak killed my desire to donate anything.

Love this place! Its clean and well organized. The displays help to spark ideas on upcycling, the staff is friendly and helpful. They even have household cleaners for a buck or two, paint... odds and ends everyday things you might use around your home. Bonus is they make a way to save money by offering these discards... they even have a "free" bin!! Ive gotten some cool things out of there :-) Better still, for me its about community, giving back, people helping people and keeping useable stuff out of Oregons forests, waterways & landfills.

I have always had very good response from these people. I think some people just want to take their junk there instead of an appropriate location. I took a sliding patio door there today and they told me that they no longer take aluminum sliding patio doors. They could have said nothing else but they did not. The worker on the dock told me where I could take the door and actually get paid for the scrap. Just because you cannot drop everything off, be a little more respectful of the reason this place exists.

I had a whole truck of perfectly good cabinets and appliances. Call ahead of time to see if they would take them. They said yeah bring it down. I got there and a guy named Peter wrinkled his nose at it and said he couldnt take some of it. These guys are way too fussy I had all the doors all the drawers we did a ton of work and they wasted a ton of our time. This isnt the first time theyve wasted my time but it will be the last. Dont donate here its a waste of time

Great organization for what they do. Good prices-great hunt. However, in an effort to be fair to all, (scammers & saints) if you have a grievance, they can be unyielding and policy driven-they will not bend. So: buyer beware, hold on to your receipt, carefully inspect what you buy; do not assume it functions-they inspect, but dont always test.

I purchased an item had it on hold paid for it and asked them to hold it for one more day so that i can pick it up when its not raining and they said NO and sold it under me when i already paid for it. did not give me my refund but offered a store credit. not cool at all bad customer service.

Do you like treasure hunts? If so this is the place for you. It doesnt seem like they had a lot when I went in so Ill have to go back at a later time, but I can see the potential of the place. Not to mention the great work Habitat for Humanity is doing.
